original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated

I compare and have drawn comparisons. My 14 year old for example is way more able than my 13 year old in all senses so that right there should demonstrate to them my 13 year old is not like his non autistic peers.

This is what I’m saying. Two family members had their children the same month I had my boy, so when they started hitting milestones my son didn’t I started questioning what is going on. This was around age 1. Where I live we had to wait till 2 to put referrals and everything in. Then at 3 fully diagnosed, severely autistic. I always knew my child was autistic and extremely delayed in all areas based off of comparisons of children the same age

Evidence from school is usually really good because they spend a fair amount of time with our kids, more so than paediatricians and people like that!
id love to know but it’s so bad atm with my boy. He will climb in the bath while it’s empty and just continuously run the hot water tap and it doesn’t even phase him🤦🏽‍♀️

This is true. I am thinking it’s going to help. On love him. It’s so stressful isn’t it x

Kc1999x · 16/11/2024 16:47

It really is. Once his understanding gets better it’ll be a lot easier however atm we have very limited understanding and he’s completely non verbal. One day hoping for speech but we’re happy with any progress no matter how small🙏

Ask for statement of reasons to start the MR process. Then once you have them, you’ll be able to bullet point why you disagree with the decision and cross reference with your evidence. Good luck

May I.just ask would doing an MR just be the mobility part or the whole claim ?
Sorry for all the questions, I've never done an MR before this is new to.me .

I wouldn’t read much into. Most staff are new and tend to give inaccurate information. You call Monday for more clarification

Thank you lovely

I've checked the Facebook pages all day and not a single award, must be their weekend off! X

Ash900 · 16/11/2024 19:32

Hi, you can do a MR just for the mobility part. That’s what we are doing. I believe it asks on the form what part of their decision you are seeking a mandatory reconsideration on.

they can look at the whole award again. It’s going to be going to another decision maker, there’s a chance the award can be lower, higher or taken away completely. That’s the risk we take

They might, but my thoughts are with the huge backlogs they have I don’t even think they are looking at the evidence provided let alone the whole claim. Like you said it is a risk. If they stop a claim you can do a new one and if they reduce then over to tribunal

I feel the same. Next week is going to be a long week. I work Tuesday and Wednesday so if when I call on Monday and there's no decision I won't have the chance to call again until Thursday and I know I'll be going crazy. Really hoping to see lots of awards (including ours) on Monday 🤞

I was 21 weeks on Friday and I’ve now gone 3 weekends beyond everyone else from my SD 😫. I really hope you get some good news next week. Best of luck to everyone ❤️

You've done so amazing waiting so long, and remaining positive and supportive to everyone else at the same time. Really hope you get a positive outcome on Monday and they don't make you wait any longer.

It’s natural to draw comparisons. They even say that the child’s needs need to be greater than a child of the same age so they are drawing comparisons too. Like I don’t know any 13 year olds that can’t tell the time unless it’s in digital format etc to be fair when we claimed he was awarded HRC from the offset
