DLA WAIT TIMES THREAD 48

Time for a new thread ready for another week of waiting.

Been with DM since 21.06! I rang Monday & Tuesday- debating whether to ring today? They recieved his sleep diary yesterday so might give it until tomorrow. Have you rang hun? It’s so longg now!

SD:20/3 phoned up, the lady on the phone said it went to DM today.

I'm also debating calling, but I've pretty much called every day since last Thursday 🙈
I'm just really hoping for a text today 🤞🤞🤞

17 long weeks for me tommorow still nothing yet at least we do get back payments staying hopeful congrats to those who've had theirs today 🙌

I honestly feel in shock!

Scan date was 23/04 so I was expecting to wait a while, but DS's award was due to end on 12/07. I checked my banking app earlier and could see an extra DLA payment went in, so I knew there had been an update.

I worked out that they had updated him to HRC, but I wanted to make sure and find out the dates so I just called them. Got through straight away to a nice lady who could only confirm that the decision had been made but no specifics, so she transferred me.

The man I spoke to next was also very nice, and confirmed that DS was awarded HRC from the scan date, and also LRM from his 5th birthday in October, and that his award has been set until 2031!

I honestly couldn't believe it when he told me, we've been fighting so hard to get him support so this is such a relief!

Aww I hope so it feels so close but so far like I’m running on the spot but I can see the destination lol 🏃🏻‍♀️ I might give them a call on Friday give them another 2 days🫣 X

You will get there it's hard with all the waiting but you will be more stressed if you don't ring them.. I no its awful ringing as they always fob you off but atleast it stops the stress of not knowing something.. I have me older sons renewal in September I have sent some extra evidence off so I'll wait till later and ring them see if they have it and I'll do some quizzing for you about were they at date wise and stuff.. see what I can find out for you.. I've had 2 days of little sleep so I'll be just as delightful as them on the phone🤣but i promise ill make sure i find something out about 19th march dates😬 x

We're 14/3 and nothing yet. Looks like those a week before us were decided end of last week, so hopefully this is our week!

I sent off letters from his paediatrician, educational psychologist, his autism diagnosis letter, a copy of his IDP and his specialist provision teacher filled in the part of the form for "someone else who knows the child".

I also sent in about 10 additional sheets of information because there wasn't enough room on the form.

Not yet, and I'm so anxious that she will get declined 😔 I just want to know either way now.
I wasn't going to call today however I know I'll give in this afternoon and call for an update 🙈

Nope, I've been calling every day. They say every time "you have requested for a text when a decision is made". Ok yes but I'm still going to call every day 🙈

@ArtfulJoker didn't take long to get through was a nice man told me everything I needed to no about me sons renewal even though I only needed to no if they received evidence 🤣 so then I thought we'll let's have a little chat.. said so you so honest not like the rest of the grumpy ones can you tell me what's going on with the current waiting times as my friends been getting lied to alot and is scared to ring up now its causing her stress and anxiety but her claim is 19th march.. he said he can't discuss anothers claim I said I don't want to discuss another's I just want a bit of advice on to when she will no around like we're you at with the claims.. he said start of March they on but should have an outcome before 5 weeks on dates around 19th.. he also said there's around 49 thousand claims to get through 😯 so I said well what happens if you need to speak to school they brake up soon will you have to wait for them to go back to school he said no they won't contact school for claims during school holidays.. I've picked his brains a bit hopefully helped alot of unaswered questions so hang in there hope this as eased your mind a bit ☺️❤️

I called again 🤭 I was so good for 13 weeks not calling them but now I can't stop myself and im calling every other day😅

Still no Decision Made so I asked if its with the DM cos last week they said this week I will get a decision. BUT Apparently not with a decision maker 🙄

Why did I even call them 😒
