Just called, my daughter has been awarded MRC for 2 years, I do think she qualifies for HRC but she hasn’t been seen by paediatrician etc yet so I’m happy with that until renewal, I will put in for LRM before her 5th birthday because she more than qualifies for that ☺️ good luck to everyone still waiting

Congrats 🙌🏻 what was your date sorry my memory is so bad lol x

Yes! I'm awaiting MR initial claim was put in in October and I feel like it's taken over my life at this point. Constantly doubting my evidence and I'm not good at articulating what I mean so I'm not even sure I make sense on my claim. Not sure I've got it in me for a tribunal either

I went through the exact same thing a year ago due to the glue ear we managed to have the operation last year. You really have to chase them up for the appointments. I think the headband hearing aids are not great for ASD kids maybe request the ear ones as my LO kept pulling it off. You can request the referral through the audiology department at your next appointment. We sorted an ECHP through them. They’ve been amazing! Although the lip reading is still there apparently takes some time. We got awarded DLA last year just sent the audiology and ENT letters so I think you will be fine. Doing a COC now as needs have significantly increased. Hopefully you hear good news soon. 🤞🏻

That’s good to know thank you for that.
I’m glad your child got awarded I’ve not heard of my many awards for hearing loss. His care needs are far greater than his age (8) he requires more than than his 5 year sibling I did sent his latest audiologist report and stated he’s on the waiting list for ENT but they are really dragging it out we have been waiting for 9 months now. I think I’ll take your advice and keep on to them!
thank you!
I hope you get the award from your coc that your child deserves quickly as I know how much this waiting impacts on us

BusyMamma4 · 02/07/2024 14:41

How do you find out of your claim is with a DM? Every time I ask the call handlers tell me they can’t tell me 🤷🏻‍♀️
apparently claims are taking 15 weeks at the moment and my my claim is in process but no no formal decision has been made!
every time I get off the phone I end up not nothing nothing and even more confused 😂

I have one claim awarded - HRC 🥳 I cried so much the poor bloke on phone was lovely and explained how much backpay I’ll get and told me to update UC when I get my letter so I have all the correct information. S/D 12/3

thank you 🥰

Hi I wonder if anyone has any advice about how to go to the next step. I told UC of change of circumstances in may 20th as that’s when my son was awarded his DLA, I requested back payment for the disability and carers element and they still haven’t done it. They wrote on my journal that the deadline was the 2nd July (today) still no decision has been given to me. What do I do next. If I wrote a message on the journal they reply 15-20 days later with (it’s with the DM) but they are now going to pass the deadline they set and gave to me. I don’t know what to do next

PollyH3 · 02/07/2024 16:21

1hr 20 mins to get through.
Still with a decision maker and she can't say how long it'll be until they make a decision.
SD 12/03, supposedly made priority on 21/06.

Hi I would say you are in financial hardship as it is taking the piss that, I did it and they sent it to the dm as a priority and UC have me backpay the next day

Hey call them. They will then give your work coach / case manager a deadline to respond to you- I’ve done this twice so far.. it’s the only way they reply

I promised myself I'd wait until 15 weeks but I'm the same I sat driving myself mad this afternoon and gave in. My stomach was in knots while she was looking I'm not ringing again, I've waited this long I can wait a few more weeks

Oh god bless you, i feel my stomache is in knots just with the stress and anxiety this waiting for a decision is making .
did you get much info when you rang up?
but yeah im trying to hold off calling . Think ill wait untill after 16/07 before i phone as itll be over 15weeks then

They really are taking the piss now. I don’t get how they can say it’s been with a DM for 6 weeks. They added the elements onto the claim by time my statement was ready in June. I get my statements on the 6th of every month. So another month has passed and they still said they need to verify it? I don’t get what they are verifying when I get the elements

Honestly they gave my work coach a deadline on the 4th June, they got back to me on the 22nd June. I left 7 messages in between then and they still never got back to me

Ive got a scan date on 19/3 hoping it will be soon, i dont think ive ever been so worried over something
