DLA WAIT TIMES THREAD 48

Time for a new thread ready for another week of waiting.
Hopefully lots of us get the results we're so desperately awaiting 🤞🏻❤

12 weeks since scan date here. The closer you get the slower it seems to go.

14 weeks in, I rang again 🤦‍♀️ did the 1523 route this time still hasn't been allocated some aren't being allocated until 16-17 weeks now and can take up to 3 weeks with the DM. Wish I hadn't rang had myself convinced on who is getting awarded now I only had about 2 weeks to go now more like 6

I’ll be 17 weeks on Thursday and still not with a DM… or wasn’t this morning 😭

Hi everyone, just thought I would let you all know how it worked for me.

SD 18/03
I didn't have any evidence except an appointment letter for the ASD referral.

I filled in the form as though it was her worse day and added extra paper with a daily timeline of how each part of the day affects her, how long each task takes etc.

Called around 4 weeks ago to let them know that she had been diagnosed with Autism. No paperwork as I still haven't received it myself.

I called two weeks ago just before the 15 week mark and was told it hadn't yet been looked at and to wait the 20 weeks. (Called the quick way)

Called again a week later (Friday 5th, called the long way) lovely lady who said it was with DM and as it was just over 15 weeks she would now make it a priority.

I can today see back pay pending in my bank. I assume it was all done on Friday for the money to be showing today.

I've had no text etc. Just saw it by chance when looking at my bank.

Hope this helps some of you or gives hope as with the non existense evidence I really thought she wouldn't be awarded anything at all. I'm so happy for my DD 😊

That’s great! I wonder why they offer some priority after 15 weeks and not others? I know some have special circumstances but otherwise it doesn’t make much sense. I think they just like to pick and choose. So pleased they recognised your daughter struggles.

As much as my daughter struggles it's nowhere near as bad as some children on this thread. So I agree that it just depends who answers the call!

I just want to give others hope as she masks at school and hasn't received much in professional appointments etc so I can't imagine they have added much to the decision.

Congratulations 🎉 on all awards today am on week 17 so hope not waiting much longer lets hope lots more of awards for tomorrow good luck all waiting x

Just called for an update should be in the next 2 weeks. I'll take with a pinch of salt but so so close to hopefully the end of this vile roller coaster ride is coming to an end.
Oh a brighter note the lady was lovely and very friendly ☺️

I have just called to ask if they could text my decision however she said a decision was made today, but she couldn’t tell me what because the systems are down! This has made my anxiety so much worse! I haven’t had a text or anything, which is making me think it’s a no, has anyone been awarded but not had a text confirming this? Thank you all xx

I was awarded hrc last Wednesday and had no text i found oud out the day after when i called dont worry hun xx

Oh ok that makes me feel a little better hun! The longer it goes on the more I think it’s a no , it’s such a head spin! Thank you x

Also awarded last week, had a note on my case to say I would like a text when a decision is made, but didn't receive one either x

Same scan date as me I called this morning the long way still not with a DM yet he said should know outcome in the next week or so

Same as me 12 weeks today! Only another 3-8 weeks to go lol 🤣.
Praying it's within the 3 weeks, feels like an eternity!

Hi same scan date as me , I called last Thursday , I was told mine was being looked at and should know in the next two weeks , I asked if it had gone to a DM he said no it’s being looked at 🤷‍♂️,so have decided to phone again next week if still not herd anything x

Is the received date the same as the scan date?

When I called 4 weeks ago, the guy was super fast and said all received on 20 May. (I sent it on 10 April.

Yesterday I spoke to a woman to update my daughters medications, and she was great. She also checked the date for me and said it was received on 20 April. I asked her to double check and she said yes definitely 20 April.

is the scan date different or did the first guy make a mistake?

Just thought I'd give an update, I called this morning to check they had made my DD claim a priority as the systems went down yesterday and he said it had been marked as urgent and it will take between 1 & 2 weeks to hear. So going to call again next week if I haven't heard anything. X
