i got through no decision still in a pile so he said he would raise why it hasn’t been looked at yet as I’m over 15 weeks and I explained a few struggles and he said he would make it a priority but because it’s so busy it might not go through I’m more confused than when I rang but he was really kind and helpful he told me to call back next Wednesday give him 5 days x

Aww, you see it wasn't that bad. At least he will put a note on cos it's been over 15 weeks for you. Wishing you all the luck and hopefully you get a decision within 5 days.

I'm hoping to get a decision soon after you

Hi, ladies 💐👋🏻❤️ Congratulations to all who have been awarded and good luck to everyone still waiting or doing MR.
I have been super busy with my boys lately of all the changes we going through, but have managed to put down mandatory reconsideration letter but waiting for someone look at it and do some additional checks, corrections. Good thing I have kept all my late husbands paperwork even hospital letters etc. Loads need to add like an evidence to prove. Hopefully next week I'm able to send it out to them and then 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

NimbleQuail · 04/07/2024 11:55

I’ve created an account just to post. 16 weeks today (SD 14/3) and the man on the phone said ‘the case is still open and the wait time is now 20 weeks. If you haven’t received a letter by then call back’ no offer or mention of a text. They really do all say something different! Not sure how likely we are to get it, my daughter is 12 and has long Covid, she currently has medical provision schooling at home as has only managed a few half days in school this school year and none in six months.

14/3 here too.
I saw someone up the thread say they were told that and then received a text saying they'd been awarded later that day so I wouldn't worry too much. I think there's a couple of 12/3 and a 13/3 been awarded in the last couple of days so we shouldn't be waiting long now. I'm planning to call tomorrow if I haven't heard.

NimbleQuail · 04/07/2024 12:33

i hope so. I haven’t had any subsequent letters or texts since the initial letter to say they’d received the claim. I’m preparing for a decline anyway.

Fingers crossed for you, that must be awful for both of your mental health as well, hope she gets the award she deserves and that her health improves soon. ❤

SD 12/03 New Claim

seen a lot of awards for around this date and after which is amazing. 🤩
thought I’d call again today, got straight through, went through security then had the same answer as the last 5 times I’ve called 😫 20 weeks wait and to call them if I haven’t heard anything by 30th July. The wait is driving me mad I am even dreaming about it now and worrying I haven’t written enough on the form! 🤦‍♀️

TheSnappyTurtle · 04/07/2024 13:08

@Kell85 ive received my letter today saying the DM has approved back paying. Not sure if youre aware but it’s not the DM who gives the backpay. They approve it then the case managers/work coaches who reply in the journal work it out and issue the money.

What date did you unsafe your uc? I updated mine on 7/6 and it was sent to dm on 10/6 still waiting

That was suppose to say update 🤦‍♀️

TheSnappyTurtle · 04/07/2024 13:25

@Crazyhouse4 i made the COC on the 22nd May. Verified 9th June. It took them 8 days to send to DM (their delay) so 17th June it went to DM. I asked for two updates from then. Put in a complaint yesterday (3rd July), got the confirmation letter for back pay from DM today. Now I’ve asked the case manager to work out the back pay and to send the 2nd letter which is how much I’m owed and when I’ll get the payment.

I hope that makes sense?

oh I may have to make a complaint to hurry them along then, what reasons did you put as your complaint? The wait times?

Are you rining the long way?. They seem to tell you more than 20 week wait.. options to pick are 1523

Yeah I am aware, it’s taken 7 weeks for the DM to make a decision and then UC said there’s no time scale on when they will pay the back pay. She said it could take months

Mumoftwo2024 · 04/07/2024 14:00

Im dreading making a claim for my daughter who has been diagnosed with GAD, she also has irlens syndrome and dyslexia. I don’t even know if it’s worth making a claim for her
