Hi! I'm going to be starting Slimming World again in January, I am signing up for a 12 week Countdown. I start a new job in January and know I will be working 12 hour shifts. Just wondered if anyone else is planning on starting then and if you fancied supporting each other here with meal ideas and moral support :) I have around 4.5-5st to lose and this time I am determined to do it! I've treated myself to a 1950's photoshoot as a Christmas present and want to use that along with feeling happier and healthier as motivation.

Hey gals. Just joined Mumsnet and came across your group. I started back at slimming world on Jan 8th 2022.

SW 13.1
CW 11.8
GW: initially 11st but might adjust to 10.7!

Found out I'm pregnant yesterday (about 4.5wks) after a late miscarriage in November which caused me to gain a lot of weight via emotional eating. since I'm on SW and it's endorsed by royal college of midwifes i plan to stay on it....so far as possible whilst listening to my bodies needs.

Thanks for reading Smile

Has anyone followed whilst pregnant or how have y'all been doing in 2022.

Welcome @TTCIrishlass, I was about to direct you to the thread about SW while pregnant, but see you started it! Glad you've had some response there.

I'm going to group. Only because the thought of standing on those scales and gaining weight in front of a stranger scares the crap out of me. It really helps me keep focus. Yesterday my husband recorded me helping our 1 year old on his skateboard and my god I look so fat. Csnt stop thinking about it.

I am the same, all day no probs as the house quietens down for the evening and I flop in front of the TV I have gotten into the habit of having a G&T or 3 😮. If I try to what TV without it I get easily bored. I have even reached the point of trying alcohol-free Gin... 😢

Hi girls can I join please. I am starting back tonight for my 1st SW weigh in, in about 4 years - now I don't have a lot to lose but for myself I'd like to have 7-10lbs gone.
I am doing the exercise always have - I am good with making my own sauces etc no jars but I need to up my fruit and veg and lose alot of the treats. It will be hard for me I know as Iam kind of following SW loosely anyway since I was a member all those years ago!!
Thanks for having me xx

I started back in January and had about 2 stone to lose. Im about 2lb off that by now.Slow and steady wins the race.

My sis in law only had 11lbs to lose and lost 7 in her first week, but then bobbed up and down. She stopped followimg plan at Easter and has since put it on.

Just keep going, dont feel you need to get too jazzy with meals...i found thats where i failed before, having to put too much effort into prepping. I dont mind eating repetitively so usually have same old boring lunch then skip between spag bol, chilli, curries, salmon etc during the week.

I know you're not meant to, but i always have a treat night the day of weight in. I previously treated weigh in day as a free for all, but now restrict to one cheat meal and a few drinks. I still lose every week except week before period when i typically gain a 1lb due to water retention.

You got this!
