Best of luck @Blondeshavemorefun I had a meal out this week too and it wasn't sw friendly at all!

@JingleAndTonic how much parmesan / eggs would you use? We will have 500g of spaghetti. Does it not need any liquid?

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 03/02/2022 22:06

Wrong tag sorry, above question for @lechatnoir

lechatnoir · 03/02/2022 22:47

I did 350g of spaghetti for 4 of us and used 120g parmesan (saving some to sprinkle on top)mixed with 3 eggs. Cook the bacon and garlic first then when the pasta is cooked save about half a cook of cooking water take everything off the heat and add egg mixture and water and mix well. I also added some peas to the pasta water for the last 3 mins and served with salad.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 03/02/2022 23:33

Thanks will do it tomorrow there's 6 of us so will up the amounts slightly

Birthday yesterday so not entirely on plan Confused

B: porridge B milk A with banana and blueberries
L: cheese A and ham omelette with side salad 1 for dressing

And then it started to go a bit wrong (although have done FAR FAR worse when not on plan!):

Chocolate cake - average size slice lots of butter icing

Dinner: large shared sushi platter with miso soup & jasmine tea - probably not too bad but then we did have fried squid doused in some sort of lovely but no doubt v.high fat mayo and fried gyoza.

On a plus, no alcohol was involved!
Not even bothering to syn just hoping I can stay on track today as I'm at a conference all day with catered lunch so no idea what to expect there!

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 04/02/2022 09:54

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun 👍

Heres today....

Breakfast.....2 Weetabix so finally having my hex b 😂 with blueberries ontop

Dinner.... carbonara with brocolli on the side

Friday treats.....not sure on syns but have got m and s valentine's popcorn, app says chocolate popcorn is 5 syns for 25g and the pack is 250g between 4 so that's all my syns gone for the day 😱 it is nice though! JingleAndTonic · 04/02/2022 11:14

Hope you had a lovely birthday @lechatnoir

B - fruit and fibre with raspberries and a crumpet

L - spicy ramen noodles with two slices of toast

T - macaroni cheese with smoked sausage

Tomorrow going to be even worse, have ordered cocktails for a girly night and making a TGI fakeaway with jack daniels sauce Blush going to be getting a lot of walking in this weekend though which will hopefully counteract

Your dinner sounds nice @JingleAndTonic

Yesterday was....

Breakfast porridge hex b. Found a little tub that holds exactly 40g of porridge so don't have to mess about with scales now.
Blueberries on top

Lunch.... butternut squash soup (free) and 2 speedy tangerines

Dinner.... chicken fried rice. Was delicious. Homemade with leftover roast chicken. Microwave veg bag on side for speed.

2 of the kids chocolates

Today....

Breakfast.....banana and skinny latte hex a

Lunch... about to have it now. My go to lunch at th moment is roasted butternut squash I do a big batch to keep in fridge. Fry it to warm with courgette chunks, mushroom, spinach etc then make a hole and crack an egg in. Absolutely delicious and all free. Chilli flakes on top.

2 speedy plums

Dinner ... easy tea....trying the heck posh chicken Italia nuggets 1 syn each apparently. Ill.have 5. Got a pack of stir-fry veg to have with it. Children and husband will have frozen wedges.

Planning a little treat for tonight can't decide what. Maybe a hot chocolate with an options sachet

lechatnoir · 10/02/2022 18:13

@Wilma55 you've reminded me how low syn G&T is - I really must change my drinking habits when I'm out as my usual wine & fizz are soooo much higher it's almost impossible to track so I just go totally off-piste

Wilma55 · 10/02/2022 18:31

@lechatnoir must admit I really fancied a glass of red! I find if I have a couple of gins I can switch to tonic ice n slice for rest of evening. We are out at friends on Saturday night and I know plenty of red wine will be consumed! Wine
