Hi

I joined last week. First time I have done SW. Anyone want to join me?

I weighed in (Tue) at 11 st 12.5lb (5'7" tall). I set my target for 1 stone, but would really like to get back down to 10 stone. Not sure this is doable before Christmas.

I started a new job 2 years a go and have put on 2 stone.

I am amazed how much free food their is. I don't think I have eaten so much fruit, veg or eggs in years!

Today I have had:

Breakfast: Branflakes and milk
Mid morning: A banana and 6 strawberies
Lunch: Rocket, sweet potato and feta salad with an ostrich steak (2 for £4.49 from Lidl, 157 cals and 2% fat), fat free yoghurt.

(Never had an ostrich steak before, it was delicious. It was in a Moroccan marinade)

Will probably have an omelette for tea.

Gutted... Only half a pound off.

I have been so good this week and have done loads of exercise - swimming 40 lengths, walking (running some of it) for an hour everyday.

I have weighed myself every other morning and today was down to 11 6.5lb, however SW scales said 11 10lb Arghhh!!!!!

I have eaten quite a few eggs this week and have not been to the loo for 3 days (sorry for too much info). Could eggs be a problem as I can't think of anything else that will be a problem?

Not going to hit the chocolate, off for a swim instead. I am determined to do this!

Too many eggs do that to me too oldowl!

What does everyone drink? I would normally drink a lot of fruit juice which are now a no-no, along with my usual fruity water innocent thingies, and I don't like fizzy drinks- it just seems to be thinks like diet coke or water that are free. Am I doomed to only water from now on?

I did an hour of HIIT last night in the dark and accidentally squashed a slug with my hand while doing press-ups. Determined this will not put me off exercise Confused

No but its put me off exercise. Not that I need an excuse to avoid it Wink
Well I'm incredibly happy because I've lost 3.5lbs this week! Gobsmacked! However I did put on 1lb last week so I've lost a total of 4lb in 3 weeks. I'm happy with that as I'm only aiming for 1lb a week loss.

Hairq · 20/09/2017 12:41

I'm 4 weeks in and have lost 8lbs. It was 9lbs but I had a massive drunken blowout weekend and put a couple back on and they're slowly coming off again. Why is it so easy to put weight on but so hard to get it off?

I'm at a frustrating point at the moment - a few lbs over 11 stone and I want so much to be under it, and still half a stone to go until I'm in the normal BMI range. I know how much better I'll when I've achieved those things but it still seems to far off. And they're just my mini interim targets.

Yukbuck · 20/09/2017 12:49

Decided Wednesday will be my weigh in day as the scales in Tesco were out of order. I don't find home scales very good in general but going to use the ones at work again (I work in a house) so will use those every Wednesday. So I am today 11 stone 3.

m0therofdragons · 20/09/2017 23:48

I'm feeling despondent. Weigh in is tomorrow evening and I've stuck to plan all week (and really enjoyed the new meals) but scales currently say 1lb loss. I know I've got another day but it's not going to rise much I'd it. I know 1lb off is better than nothing but for a first week it seems crap. If I got that week 3 I'd be less disappointed but in week 1 I'm going to struggle to motivate myself to stick at it.

Last week at group everyone was having 5lb losses with 2.5 being a small loss. Okay a couple stayed the same but one had been to New York and the other a birthday so that made sense.

I'll be sitting scowling at everyone tomorrow with their smug big losses (I realise this isn't really the ethos of group).

christmasunicorn · 21/09/2017 07:14

I only lost 1.5lb in my first week. Though I joked it was only because I'd switched from wearing jeans to leggings. But I know I'm a slow looser so that's ok with me. Don't be too upset, any loss is a great loss.

My group makes me laugh as having a loss generally puts you in the minority. I swear most people there treat it as a social club with some good diet intentions throw in.

Flutterby81 · 21/09/2017 07:29

Don't know why I sabotage myself like this Sad but had a terrible couple of days eaten rubbish but still have four days to pull it back in before Monday's wi.

ElizabethS22 · 21/09/2017 09:39

I'm joining today.
Have put on so much weight since having my second child.
Need to lose around 7 stone!

headinthecloud · 21/09/2017 11:38

👋hi can I join you. I'm having my first weigh in tomorrow. My starting weight was 11st 11lbs.

m0therofdragons · 21/09/2017 13:05

Hi headinthecloud , it's my first weigh in tonight after a week on plan. I started at 11st 5.5 but I'm not feeling optimistic. Fingers crossed 🤞

caoraich · 21/09/2017 13:18

Sorry about the slug comment christmas !
I had been sooo good but then an old friend turned up last night with a pizza. I ate 19 syns Sad really disappointed with myself and trying to have no syns today.

Flutterby81 · 21/09/2017 13:19

Good luck for your first wi mother of dragons Smile

headinthecloud · 21/09/2017 15:09

Good luck for tonight mother of dragons 🤞

raisedbyguineapigs · 21/09/2017 18:53

I lost 2 lb which I'll take as I went a bout slap dash this'd week with the weighing, went out with some friends and scoffed some crisps. I need to take a proper look at the app. It looks like it has some handy tools on it.

christmasunicorn · 21/09/2017 19:09

Dh and I ended up going out for dinner and I've estimated my syns at 30, based on options from the app. So I've decided to limit myself to 10syns per day for the rest of the week to make up for it so hopefully not too much damage done. Was so nice though, it was worth it

christmasunicorn · 21/09/2017 19:09

Well done raisedby

Flutterby81 · 21/09/2017 19:32

Well done on the loss raised by Smile

Christmasunicorn sounds like it was worth the Syns.

raisedbyguineapigs · 21/09/2017 20:22

Thanks Grin

m0therofdragons · 22/09/2017 07:53

I lost 3lbs which is good but hard to feel it's good when others are losing 5lbs and one even lost 8lbs in her first week, but I guess my body is just slower and sounds like she only ate soup which I couldn't stick to (without a loaf of tiger bread). I'll keep going. At least it's going downwards.

Flutterby81 · 22/09/2017 08:08

Well done motherof dragons 3lb is a fantastic loss Grin

headinthecloud · 22/09/2017 09:07

Raisedby and mother of dragons welcome done!!

headinthecloud · 22/09/2017 09:56

m0therofdragons · 22/09/2017 11:19

Well done @headinthecloud now we just need to stick with it. I usually last 2 weeks on any plan so this time needs to be better!

Flutterby81 · 22/09/2017 13:31
