And Frouby ouch ouch ouch! there is no pain like a stubbed little toe! Hope you get to the hospital tomorrow.

BasinHaircut · 23/01/2017 20:06

Thanks guys I'm well chuffed. I don't know why but I was convinced I'd put something back on.

Group was better tonight, lots of useful chat and the consultant had loads of packaging with the syn value written in them out on the big table which was quite useful. I also bought the curry recipe book and it all looks amazing.

Dinner tonight was pastitsio with beetroot salad. Big portion seeing as it's a week till weigh in Grin

X-posts Frouby, ouch. I (am a nurse) would suggest RICE - rest, ice, compress, elevate - for your toe. Unless it's at a weird angle (?) all A&E will do is neighbour strap it. You can buy stuff to do that at a pharmacy (just need gauze between the toes and tape to strap it). Arnica is good to bring out the bruising too.

That looks nice Basin, well done on the weight loss!

I made a stir fry tonight. Super lazy, bought a frozen stir fry veg bag from Tesco, it was really nice! Curly Wurly for pudding I thinkWink

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 23/01/2017 20:24

Thanks everyone! Basin that looks delicious!

Frouby · 23/01/2017 20:56

Thanks Faith that was my thoughts too. Have been strapping it to other one. Swelling going down a bit and it's turning back into the other one. Will keep doing that and see how I go.

Got much better things to do than sit in a and e for 3 hours. Plus I have to be literally dying to go. Have been once in about 20 years for me I think and that was for suspected renal colic. And I couldn't get off the floor with the pain.

Had a bit of an off plan tea. Some filled pasta and cheese sauce but I had a tiny portion. Not even half a cereal bowl really. Really couldn't face cooking a chicken dinner.

Rescued a little dog today. She was running around our estate with a degloved lower jaw and a 2 inch laceration through her lip. Sweet little girl. Managed to get vet to take her in, and a local lady has got a rehousing charity involved who will pay for her treatment and then rehome her. Unless some owners come forward which I don't think they will.

Vets seem to think she has been used for badger baiting. Poor little girl.

LavenderRains · 23/01/2017 21:05

Well done all you losersGrin hopefully I shall lose something on Wed. Couldn't go last week cos of work.
I need to lose 3.5lb to get my 3 stone certificate.
I've over run on syns tonightBlush I had 2 lovely chocolate covered rice cakes thinking they were 4 syns, but have since realised they were 4 syns each
Oh well, lesson learnt!......
Had omelette for breakfast with baked beans.
yogurt and fruit for dinner and chicken risotto with loads of veg for tea. Plus 18 syns!

littlecupcake · 24/01/2017 07:42

Thanks for the baked oats tips. Tried adding sweetener and it was so much nicer. I'll definitely be doing them again.

One Indian takeaway on Saturday didn't wreck my week - hurrah! I was strict with as few syns as possible on Saturday and Sunday which really helped.

Week 1 - 2lb loss Grin
Week 2 - 1.5lb loss Grin

Aiming for another 2lb loss this week.

All planned out in my SW planner/diary from www.foxmoon.co.uk which is really helping me reflect on what went well (and what didn't!).

laurieloo30 · 24/01/2017 07:44

Morning!

Had a bit of a bad day yesterday after weigh in in the morning.
Had a work lunch at wagamamas then I had an m&s ready meal for tea (under400cals but still completely off plan). Then I had 2 Freddos and a rolo mousse!!

I hope I haven't done too much damage!!

Going to try and have my first sp day today to try and compensate!!

Well done frouby for rescuing the dog. Poor little mite!

emwithme · 24/01/2017 09:17

You're all doing so well! I'm just here, plodding along in my little groove.

It's weird but I'm struggling more with the whole "being at target" now than I was in December. I think it might be that I'm stuck in a bit of a rut; because of work, and me having college two nights a week - plus extra studying needed, and DH work and volunteering etc, we're eating the same thing (or very nearly) on the same nights each week (Monday is cajun chicken and rice (DH cooks), Tuesday is salmon and roasted mediterranean veg, Wednesday is something-with-mince-that-leaves-leftovers-for-Friday (DH preps, I cook), Thursday is freezer surprise, Friday is leftovers from Wednesday, Saturday is DH's choice (he cooks), Sunday is a roast) but I haven't got the brain space to actually plan something new, shop for it, and then cook it (and hope that we actually like it).

Oh well, I just need it to not be winter. I think I may well need to increase my vitamin D level...

OwlinaTree · 24/01/2017 09:20

Morning all! Well done losers! Weigh in for me tonight. It's tasting night, can anyone suggest a really quick and easy recipe I can make this afternoon? I forgot about it yesterday when I did my big shop.

Baby up again at 345, but a lot calmer although awake. I think she thinks it's playtime!! Agghh.

SW must be singlehandedly keeping freddos going. It's basically the only chocolate I buy now.

Anyone had any good nsvs recently? I feel we haven't talked about these for a while. I had to throw away a pile of knickers that had got too big and buy some a size smaller. I've still got a pile that I can't get into yet sadly, fx one day! Anyone else had any recently?

Groovester · 24/01/2017 09:33

Some ideas for tasters on chubby cubs, owl.

randomer · 24/01/2017 09:50

hello folks.....does anybody find they dont always want a big old plate of say chicken and roast veg.....what they'd really like is a small scone?

Its the bulk thing sometimes.

emwithme · 24/01/2017 09:56

We're having a taster too. My standby taster food is either the M&S mini meringues (£1 per box, 7 syns for the box of lemon, 7.5 for the box of coconut) or some Iceland meatballs cooked and chilled down. Lots of people take variations on breakfast muffins/crustless quiche (we're a 9.30 group). For the pre-Christmas taster I took mini-Santa-fruit kebabs.

Hi! I've been reading forever to get motivation from you guys, who are all doing brilliantly, but figured its about time to crack on myself!

I joined (for the second time!) last week, first weigh in tonight. I am really Grrrr as I've been bloody brilliant all week, no going over at all, and I started my period on Saturday, which will no doubt mean I hold on to weight! Going to drink shed loads this morning, so I can wee the weight out this afternoon 😊

I started at 11s 2.5, my ultimate goal in 9s10 but if I can get to 10 again I'd be happy! Just slipping into overweight BMi, and I feel frumpy in all of my clothes so I guess it's time to do something!

Trying hardest to avoid the comfort food today. I have a cream bun waiting for me after weigh in, trying to make the thought of that get me through!

KnobJockey · 24/01/2017 09:58

Bugger, it's taster night here too, forgot about that! Is it supposed to be syn free stuff?

Groovee · 24/01/2017 10:09

Good luck everyone weighing in today.

I went to the theatre with Dd and had my 2.5 syns on popcorn and had a chink of her galaxy choc bar which was 1 syn.

I find green tea helps with my period. I don't often get my periods now but when I do, green tea seems to get rid of any retention.

Groovee · 24/01/2017 10:09

I might do baked oats for a taster night.

Groovester · 24/01/2017 10:47

Knob, you might be surprised. I always seem to retain water the week before my period arrives. Fingers crossed for you.

BasinHaircut · 24/01/2017 10:59

Welcome knob, you may find that even if you are a bit bloated due to period, that as it's your first week you will still have a big loss. Any bloating you will see as a loss next week which will be nice so every cloud and all that Grin

Fingers crossed for everyone how is weighing today.

em if you need a new meal try that Mongolian beef from chubby Cubs if you haven't before, it's straight forward to make and oh my word so delicious. Feels like a takeaway treat. Double up on meat though, but not the other ingredients so it's still only 2.5 syns. I also used half the soy sauce and topped up with water as I'm quite sensitive to salt.

Frouby · 24/01/2017 11:00

Morning everyone

Just spent 2 hours doing paperwork and filing stuff for our business. My main goal for this year (as well as hit target) is sort out the 70 billionty pieces of paper we have for it and get them all into order. I know roughly where everything is but not exactly and it's taking uo so much space at home.

But I hate paperwork so it's very meh.

Anyway. Todays plan.

B. Coffee
L. Salad probably with tuna
T. Chicken dinner with a fuckton of veg. Few syns in gravy.

harderandharder2breathe · 24/01/2017 11:42

I've been MIA for a few days but still plodding along. Not much speed food yesterday but got Asda delivering this afternoon.

OwlinaTree · 24/01/2017 11:58

Thanksgroovster and em. I've been meaning to try eggy muffins for a while so I'm going to try the chubby cubs recipe, I've got all the stuff in for those!

alibongo5 · 24/01/2017 12:23

Been a bit busy so have been reading but haven’t been commenting. Suffice to say I have been following the thread avidly but can’t really go back now and comment appropriately to everyone!

Yesterday:

Breakfast: Egg, tomato and mushrooms
Lunch: Spicy Veg and lentil soup
Dinner: Chicken and veg stirfry with noodles
Snacks: Fruit and hi fi bar
HexA: Bit of milk in coffee but probably not enough
Hex B: Hi fi bar

Today:

Breakfast: Melon, berries and yoghurt
Lunch: Prawn salad
Snacks: orange, kiwi fruit – need something else! But hope to last til WI
Dinner: Dunno – maybe steak and sw chips
Hex A: Dunno
Hex B: Dunno

WI tonight – can’t decide what to expect. I have been on-plan for most of the week and my weekly syns are just about ok but spread over only about 3 days (yes, alcohol was involved!).

Fingers crossed anyway!

MargotsDevil · 24/01/2017 12:31

Can I join? Have joined online (weigh in on a Sunday) and in week 1 I lost 6lb :-)

Can I just ask - is it okay not to use all my syns/HEXs? I'm needing to be really strict until the end of March (big event) but then want to move to a steadier rate of loss after that. Any advice welcome!

ALemonyPea · 24/01/2017 12:32

So I stayed the same this week 😡

I'm so frustrated with the whole thing, so excuse me if I'm quite the next day or two. Need to have some time to think about things. My mind is all a muddle.
