I'll have to go to m&s and take a look - I think they have quite a few SW friendly stuff in there, saw some mention of skinny burgers and sausages which will be handy for when you just want to bung something in the oven after a busy day on FB.

Yes woozy I find it really motivating. Can't wait until the lbs down target is more than the lbs to go target.

I've eaten two punnets of mushrooms today Blush it may be speed, but it's certainly rather windy at chez clash tonight...

summerblonde · 04/02/2017 21:04

Thanks basin 🌸. I'm back in the zone now. Onwards and upwards. Love reading everyone's posts. Some great meal ideas. X

ALemonyPea · 04/02/2017 21:25

M&S skinny burgers and meatballs are free, the sausages are 0.5 each. They are all delicious.

That pie looks delicious. I'd give anything for proper pies to be free foods.

Just remembered I forgot to do corn on the cob 😢

TheImprobableGirl · 04/02/2017 21:52

Can confirm the cottage pie was BEAUTIFUL. So much so that dp has just polished off 2/3rds so lucky I got in first!
It's the slimmingworld cottage pie (contains a bag of kale which sounds odd but is delicious!) with a swede and potato mash top and cheese on top of that! Feel a bit of a porker now though...

Not sure how I'm going to fare on Monday- week 1 to club I lost 3.5lb, but I have had 120 syns this week... I know I can do tomorrow without any and have wedged in so much body magic (inc. yoga DVD, davina DVD, walking 9hrs+ and swimming) so I'm hoping for one or two pounds.

Feeling really good about myself though, I think coupled with the exercise I can actually see a visible tightening of tummy!

That paprika chicken looks delicious by the way and I will definitely be trying the wrap but maybe a chicken Esque kebab!

gooseygander88 · 04/02/2017 21:52

Evening all, how's everyone?
First proper day on it & quite pleased with myself and the amount of meals you can make, syn free & still taste yummy!
B - ham and mushroom muffins with beans
L - ham on toast, oranges
T - chicken tikka and rice with a mini naan 6syns

Excited for tomorrow tea of chicken pizza nom nom

emwithme · 04/02/2017 21:55

M&S skinny burgers are indeed delicious (and free); we had them tonight (DH with chips and beans, me with roasted mushrooms and salad as it's an SP day).

We're having sausages twice in the week...one night is the M&S skinny sausage (1/2 syn) and one night is the reduced fat sausage (1 1/2 syns) to see if there's any difference. DH is very much looking forward to it. I will report back!

Have you tried porky lights yet Em? They're the best sausages I've had apart from the M&S ones.

are they high welfare?

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 04/02/2017 22:28

Hey all, just been catching up, some gorgeous looking meals posted! lemony that's an amazing loss, fantastic! Think I'm going to try freezing the mousse to make an ice cream, sounds lovely!

Had my first weigh in on Thursday and lost 4.5lb, was a little disappointed to be honest! Had heard so many people rave about their 'fabulous first week' and higher weight loss that I was expecting to have lost more! I stuck to plan rigidly and it was in such stark contrast to what and how I was previously eating I thought I would have been a bit her loss!

But, have had another good few days since WI and am getting more creative in the kitchen so hopefully another loss this week again! DH is loving all the meals too which helps me feel supported!

Will keep checking back, love reading posts on how you are all getting on as well as meal ideas!

muminthecity · 04/02/2017 22:29

Your meals all look delicious! I've had a good day considering I had some bad news yesterday and all I've wanted to do is comfort eat!

B - banana and satsuma
L - large sushi pack (2.5 syns), muller light fruitopolis (0.5 syns), mango and pineapple
D - 3 porky light sausages (1.5), root vegetable chips, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes, tomato relish (1)
S - hula hoops puft (3.5), 2 hifis (HEB) and another satsuma

9 syns in total

emwithme · 04/02/2017 22:33

Not been able to get a sniff of a Porky Light...I think the person who stocks the shelves at Asdawls keeps them for their mates Grin. We have tried literally every other sausage out there, DH is a bit of a sausage snob, and so far we (he) has poo-poohed everything except the Heck 97% pork ones (which are 2.5 syns but so big I only need two) and the Waitrose Extra Lean ones (which are smaller but only 1.5 syns each).

OwlinaTree · 04/02/2017 22:55

Yes lamb is quite fatty I suppose. Steak has syns, 2 syns per 100g.

Chanandler that's a brilliant loss! Well done.

TheImprobableGirl · 04/02/2017 23:05

Steak doesn't have syns if there's no fat on it? It's just beef!

TheImprobableGirl · 04/02/2017 23:09

That was shock and incredulity rather than rudeness btw Grin I didn't mean any offence! All steaks are free to my knowledge

FaithAgain · 04/02/2017 23:11

I don't syn steak! I cut the fat off....

emwithme · 04/02/2017 23:27

I'm a steak snob. I only eat fillet so there's no fat to be seen and it's totally free. I've never liked fat on meat, even as a kid.

Chanandler 4.5 lbs is excellent. I've never lost that much in a week (over the 17 months it took me to lose my 4 stone to get to target, I averaged 0.75 lbs a week). I've now been at target since mid-November and stayed within range since, including over Christmas

Groovee · 05/02/2017 08:05

Chandler I only ever seem to loose 3lb in my first week. I do see some big losses of 5-8lb in my class.

ClashCityRocker · 05/02/2017 08:35

I also don't syn steak - it says it's free with the fat trimmed off in my book.

As others say, chandler 4.5 lbs is excellent. I lost 6.5 lbs in my first week, then only 1/2lb in my next. Human bodies are funny things.

BasinHaircut · 05/02/2017 09:14

chanandler 4.5lbs is great! And you are really getting into it trying new things etc by the sounds of it so that's really important too.

OwlinaTree · 05/02/2017 09:47

Lol that was a reaction! I don't eat the fat, I assume it's because it is cooked with the fat on so some gets on the meat as it cooks. We tend to have rib eye which is quite fatty. It's on page 74 in the book.

ClashCityRocker · 05/02/2017 09:49

Just did a rather frantic search and can confirm that steak with all visible fat removed is indeed free.

Owlina, don't scare me like that Grin

Grillsteaks are synned but think that's the processed Birdseye stuff.

dancemom · 05/02/2017 10:33

3rd weigh in, lost another 2lbs! That's 10lbs in 3 weeks - yippee!

OwlinaTree · 05/02/2017 10:48

Well done dancemom!

summerblonde · 05/02/2017 11:37
