Since starting slimming world, I have occasionally had weetabix for breakfast but never combined it with fruit as I thought it sounded a bit eurgh. (I could just about imagine it with banana but as that isn't speed it didn't really help).

This week I have been having it with thawed frozen berries. What a revelation! Absolutely delicious!

Sorry, just had to share that!

WoozyWooo · 03/02/2017 12:32

Yh but does it make the weetabix taste any better?!! Grin

alibongo5 · 03/02/2017 13:05

Lol! Probably not if you don't like weetabix!

Frouby · 03/02/2017 13:14

Working from home has its perks, made myself a delicious lunch of spaghetti in tomato sauce with feta and salad. (3.5 syns for the feta).

Emmageddon · 03/02/2017 17:02

Oh I've only just found this thread

I joined 3rd Jan this year and have so far lost 13.5lbs so am quite delighted with myself. I have a LONG way to go yet though, but am concentrating on getting the next half pound off so I get a certificate Grin

My aim is to get away from leggings and tunics and into skinny jeans and t-shirts, and I am going to a festival in August and am determined to be well on the way to being slim by then.

I work 3 nights a week and find the day/night transition difficult, I never know whether to count the food I eat at work as lunch or dinner or inbetween.

Off to work tonight with noodles, ham, tomatoes, chopped peppers, FF yoghurt, and 3 portions of fruit, which keeps me going for 12.5 hours.

ALemonyPea · 03/02/2017 17:31

Welcome newbies and well done losers, well done on the maintain Em.

I'm struggling to remember my A choice at the moment. Gets to the end of the day and I'm having a slice of cheese as it needs to be done. Don't drink milk, so therein lies the problem. It's cheese or nothing.

Alternating SP and EE days. Hoping I get my 6 stone award next week, 0.5lb to get it.

Emma, I was a leggings and tunic girl last April. Today I have skinny jeans, a vest and a jumper on. I look fab if I do say so myself. Gone from a 22'to a 14, some stuff, like leggings a habit I don't kick are a size 12.

Welcomeemma and well done!

lavendar might be able to help with the night shift thingy, I'm clueless I'm afraid!

Just had my big shop delivered and batch cooked a spag Bol for the freezer. Need it in my back pocket for next week as we might have dinner guests one eveing and want to make sure I can feed us all on plan.

What are we all having for dinner tonight? I'm trying a carbonara/alfredo type dish with leftover gammon from Monday and courgette.

Lunch was bad planning, pasta 2 times in 1 day!

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2017 17:35

lemony I hope you get your 6 stone too!

Groovee · 03/02/2017 17:36

Welcome Emma, I joined the morning after you. Definitely feeling a difference.

Emmageddon · 03/02/2017 18:32

Thanks for the welcome guys! A friend has just posted that it's 17 weeks until June the 1st, and a weight loss of 2lbs a week = 2st 6lb off. Now wouldn't that be fab?

ALemonyPea I am in awe of your 6 stone (almost!) loss, that's fantastic, is that in less than a year?

FaithAgain · 03/02/2017 18:45

Welcome Emmageddon!

Lemony I'm hoping for my 2 stone award on Wednesday (1.5lb away!).

Dinner here is steak, SW chips and salad. DH is just doing DD's stories. So far:
B- gf weetabix with milk (HEA) and a drizzle of agave nectar (1/2 syn).
L - out but had tuna mayo jacket - syns will be an estimate!! - with salad.
Snack: apple.

alibongo5 · 03/02/2017 18:51

Oh wow! I've just had the Moroccan chicken casserole I made yesterday and it was absolutely fabulous (even though I say so myself). I served it with Moroccan cauliflower cous cous and broccoli (I only thought as I put the broccoli on that it might be a bit similar to the cauli but it didn't seem to be),

The recipes were from here if anyone is interested. I loved it. www.slimmingeats.com/blog/moroccan-chicken-casserole

OwlinaTree · 03/02/2017 19:27

Hi all, welcome emma. I'm feeling really low today, the lack of sleep is getting to me. I'm going out tonight for a colleague's leaving do and I really don't feel like it. Got my going out clothes out and most of my dresses are still too tight round the tummy and hips. One I couldn't even zip up! I felt like I was doing really well losing the baby weight but it's just reminded me how crap I still look and that I've still got loads to go. Meh.

We are eating in an Italian, I'm having some sort of tomato based pasta with veg and chicken, so that should be ok. No booze as I'm driving.

summerblonde · 03/02/2017 19:32

Feeling more in the zone today. Thank god, I was about to throw the towel in.

Reading about everybody's experiences really helps. Very motivating.

I'm not doing bad really, 4 weeks of losses and a maintain. I've learnt the key to a good week is meal planning. It's been a long week! Happy Friday all x

Groovee · 03/02/2017 19:38

I need help. Dh has lost 3lb this week but is whinging about his lunches. He struggles as he's a tradesman and tends to eat on the road. He doesn't like my quiches. Looking for some better choices for him x

summerblonde · 03/02/2017 19:40

Oh Owlina, don't be hard on yourself. You've said you feel like you're doing well and that's because you are. I know exactly what you mean, sometimes I try something on almost expecting to slink into it because I feel so good... and it still tight. It takes time and you have a baby as well, disrupted sleep played havoc with my eating habits when my DD was a baby, I was so tired I just wanted sugar, French fancies in particular! so the fact you're sticking to SW and losing weight is amazing.

Enjoy your Italian!

FaithAgain · 03/02/2017 19:51

Owl I had a moment like that. I took a photo of myself in something I tried on and hated a few weeks after I started. I really should try it on now, I think it'll be too big! Keep focused on what you've started, the changes you've made. Suddenly you'll find it's weeks later and you hardly recognise the person in the mirror!

ALemonyPea · 03/02/2017 19:59

A little over 9 months Emma. Struggling now I'm near target, but hopefully won't be too long. 14.5 lb to go.

I've found a new thing with quark. Quark. Lemon essence and some sweetener. Delightful!

Hugs Owlina. It's horrible when things don't quite fit. But you are doing so well xxx

00100001 · 03/02/2017 20:27

groove my dh is a gas engineer and is here there and everywhere.

He has a selection of stuff like

Carrot sticks and peanut butter

Massive salad with tuna/salmon /ham/eggs

Boiled eggs

Pasta salads (tomato nd Tuna)

Mug shots

Fruit

Yoghurt

Leftover Casseroles /stews /soups/curries/chilli in a thermos

It's all in separate boxes and he eats through the day.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 03/02/2017 20:39

owlina you're being way too hard on yourself. You've just had a baby and your weight is going in the right direction.

I hope you're having a great night out.
