Hey summer sounds rough. Agree with doing a proper plan I find it helps focus me and it's much easier to get something tasty together if you have it planned than it is if you're staring forlornly into the kitchen cupboards.

Also, sometimes a new recipe gets me excited (that might just be because I'm a bit of a saddo though!)

Back fro WI, lost 3lb so that takes me up to 10lb in total over my first three weeks.. Chuffed with that.

summerblonde · 02/02/2017 21:12

Thanks both.

Well done clash that's a fantastic loss, you must be so pleased. Yeah I'm going to do the buttwing chicken and chorizo for tea, so will get up early and get in the slow cooker.

Lunch a salad with some ham and cottage cheese, satsumas. Need to get back in the zone.

Off to bed now so I don't eat anything else... there's flapjacks and sausage rolls in kitchen 😐.

Groovester · 02/02/2017 21:13

1lb off for me tonight. Happy enough when I look at the last few weeks. 1lb away from 3 stone! Next week... Smile

LavenderRains · 02/02/2017 21:26

Well done groovester Star you will get your 3 stone certificate next week. I got mine last week Smile
I seriously need to buy some new clothes, mine are hanging off me which is such a lovely problem to have!

Well done fellow loses!

SpaghettiMeatballs · 02/02/2017 21:26

That's great clash

Good luck for this week Groovster

LavenderRains · 02/02/2017 22:21

*losers obviously!

OwlinaTree · 02/02/2017 22:31

Well done groovster!

Groovester · 02/02/2017 22:32

Thank you both kindly. I know that my speed hasn't been up to scratch this week and I've been skipping hex a too as stopped drinking normal tea and moved over to green teas. My plan for the week ahead is to rectify both of these omissions from the plan.
Just had cheese on toast for supper. Lovely!

Groovee · 02/02/2017 22:43

Well done Clash and Groovster x

emwithme · 02/02/2017 23:14

Veggies in a sauce, if speed, definitely count towards your 1/3 speed requirement. They don't suddenly cease being speed just because you've jumbled them together pre-cooking rather than after (in your mouth!)

I was astounded that I maintained this morning. I have been properly on plan all day and will do my usual prep at the weekend so that I'm not on the back foot again last week. I really missed my breakfast muffins this week!

WoozyWooo · 03/02/2017 00:50

Hi all. Looking for somewhere for support as I've made the hard decision that I must leave group. Fully down to money (or lack of!).
Anyway.... desperately want to stick to plan despite this and am hoping you'll let me join in 😊 Have received my 1stone award at group so want to keep up the good work.

Saying that .... Been off plan for a couple of weeks and line is drawn from now. Back on it tomorrow.

Groovee · 03/02/2017 06:40

Welcome woozy x

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2017 07:02

woozy well done for getting back on it. You can get your support here it's a friendly bunch!

I managed to go to the Wetherspoon last night and instead of Thursday night curry club I ordered the shanghai noodles (which were delicious) for 3 syns and had Diet Coke, water and a cup of tea whilst everyone else had hot chocolates with cream. Very pleased with myself.

On weds I also resisted my usual Chinese takeaway whilst DH is at a mid-week football match and made my own chow mein for 4.5syns so I'm feeling positively evangelical today.

00100001 · 03/02/2017 07:41

I lost 4.5lbs last week. Despite eating all food in sight. :)

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2017 08:17

Good stuff! Was that week 1 001?

That's the good thing about SW, do it right and you won't go hungry.

alibongo5 · 03/02/2017 08:41

Bit of a blip last night. I had made a Moroccan chicken casserole to have after my gym class. Got in to find that my adult son had clashed heads with someone and was briefly knocked out leaving him too groggy to drive home so I had to go straight out to collect his car. Upshot was that by the time I got home from that (getting on for half past nine), neither he nor I wanted to eat really.

So I had a couple of glasses of wine instead. I don't think it will have made a huge dent in my plan really as I hadn't had any other syns (saving them for the weekend just in case).

The chicken casserole will be eaten tonight.

muminthecity · 03/02/2017 08:55

I'm off to pizza express for dinner tonight. It's a catch up with friends and their children who I've not seen in a while so don't want to miss it, but don't want to mess up my weight loss either! I won't have any alcohol, but I'm not sure what to eat? Is a salad the best option?

Buttwing · 03/02/2017 09:02

Mum the salads are not great quite high last time I went the spicy chicken pasta (ask for no cheese) was quite low around 6 syns I think. It was a while ago though so not sure if they menu is still the same.

CurlY21 · 03/02/2017 09:40

Hello everyone! sooo happy to belong to this community!

I have heard about Slimming world couple of weeks ago. It seems to be great! and I think I would like to try the program after giving birth to my second child Charly (11 months old).

But I have few questions. Would you be nice enough to answer me pleasssse? Smile

I would like to know how it works and how I can try to do the program?
I have read that every consultant did the program before like I would like to do. Is it true?
It would be greaaaat!

Thank you so much everyone!

Curlyflooooowwwwerrr

muminthecity · 03/02/2017 09:53

Buttwing - someone else mentioned the spicy chicken pasta but unfortunately it is no longer on the menu Sad. I was thinking of ordering the superfood salad without dressing and maybe adding some salmon? Do you think that would be more than 15 syns?

Groovee · 03/02/2017 10:26

Welcome Curly

The plan is quite simple you can eat unlimited fruit, veg, meat, fish and beans & Pulses. Fat free yoghurts are normally free. You weigh fibre and calcium but there are grab and go options too. Lots of yummy recipes out there to try.

The consultant who runs the class has been a member who has lost weight on the plan. My friend has been a consultant for 5 years having lost 10st and has kept it off. She looks amazing.

Groovee · 03/02/2017 10:29

Mum the legerra pollo arribbiata is only 6.5 syns

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2017 10:47

curly my advice would be to get yourself along to a group and have the new members talk.

summerblonde · 03/02/2017 11:28

Managed to not eat anything else last night, I have been on plan all week apart from my blip on Monday. I've entered 6 weeks this week and this past week has been the hardest... Just have to get through the weekend now... DP out this evening and I am thinking of making myself something nice and SW friendly x

WoozyWooo · 03/02/2017 11:31

Thank you Basin. Reading through the posts I can see ur a friendly lot.

Goodish start to the day .... just about to sit down and plan my meals for the week. Found a minced beef pasta bake thing on Pinterest which is a contender for tonight's dinner 😊
