B omelette with mush, toms, cheese and raisin wheats
L soup, fruit, yoghurt
S ryvita, cottage cheese, apple

LavenderRains · 30/01/2017 22:42

Good luck for those weighing in tomorrow!
Just remember, a small blip is allowed and sometimes one day off plan doesn't make much difference and as we know from other posters, life is too short and we all need to live our lives!
sermon over Grin

Today's plan
B yogurt and grapes
D ryvita, ham and gherkins
T gammon, mashed potatoes, baked beans.
homemade tomato soup, melon and satsumas for speed.

I recently tried to join a slimming world group with my mum but as I got to the door I started having a panic attack and crying resulting in me leaving.
I think it was due to my fear of joining, are there any ways to get over this?

OwlinaTree · 31/01/2017 06:10

Maybe join on line becky?

Lulooo · 31/01/2017 06:25

Basincut, I'm also at 10lbs loss in 3 weeks after weigh in on Monday. Grin

SpaghettiMeatballs · 31/01/2017 06:37

Do you know what your specific fears are Becky?

Groovee · 31/01/2017 06:42

I dreamt that I forgot about weigh in and only made it by the skin of my teeth having eaten steak 😂

PositiveAttitude · 31/01/2017 06:48

Hi Becky could you contact the consultant and explain what happened. She may let you in before everyone else so that you were not faced with other people in the room. Have some Flowers and be easy on yourself.

ALemonyPea · 31/01/2017 06:52

Slimmer of the week, you have to gave maintained or lost the week before, then it's whoever has lost the most that week. Slimmer of the month is who has lost the most in a month.

Becky, I agree with PA. Contact the consultant, they may invite you to come earlier. One big step, it'll be good.

Nice one lu!

Becky yes give the consultant a call. Ours is lovely, as are the group TBH. can you identify what aspect of it you are anxious about?

randomer · 31/01/2017 09:16

re lamb casserole...its that slow cooker lingering smell plus the consistency of food which is doing my head in. A lot of stewy, soupy things.

Enough already with the soup! Might go for fruit breakfast and Ryvita lunch to mix it up a bit.

wiltedflower28 · 31/01/2017 10:23

This is a great thread. I don't have time to go to the classes so I'm doing it alone. Already lost a stone but really struggling with motivation now. And finding I'm spending double on groceries.

TheImprobableGirl · 31/01/2017 10:25

What about potato based things randomer or if you are getting bored with cooking, use your syns for something freezer friendly (I like the youngs gastro fillets for 7 with mashed potato and greens) or something like marinated chicken with noodles/ rice stirfry. Tonight I'm having nandos marinated chicken with roasted veg and couscous

wiltedflower28 · 31/01/2017 10:27

I'm a Slimming World consultant if anyone needs to know anything. I lost 5 stone myself on the diet but put two stone on. Lost one more now and have another one to go. So I'm on the plan myself now but happy to answer any questions.

TheImprobableGirl · 31/01/2017 10:31

wilted have you tried changing the bulk of your food to a more vege diet? Things like quorn and other meat substitutes are much cheaper and fill you up just as much. Eg when I do a cottage pie (usually takes 750g of 5% mince £5) then I use a tiny £2.50 pack (250g I think) and half a bag of asda quorn type mince 70p and half a bag of kale 30p- making a saving of £1.50 and still having some left over iyswim?

Aldi in particular have lots of speedy veg for cheap, and chicken breast for £1.85- bulk out stews and soups with lentils will make it go further, and we always have 'fridge tray soup' at the end of the week which uses up all the odds and ends hanging about!

Also- I lost 3.5lb this week Grin two and a half bottles of wine and a Chinese, and one dinner that ended up being burgers in real white buns, mccains skinny chips covered in cheese and not a speed food in sight! Not bad!

TheImprobableGirl · 31/01/2017 10:32

Surely you have to find time to go to the classes if you are a consultant??

charity29 · 31/01/2017 10:36

I presume she meant she was one and cannot do it anymore due to time constraints.

TheImprobableGirl · 31/01/2017 10:39

Oh... good point well made Grin

randomer · 31/01/2017 11:27

imp....nice ideas.....will follow up!

BasinHaircut · 31/01/2017 12:27

randomer knock the stews and soups on the head! You can have some really nice interesting food and be totally on plan. We are on week 4 and have only repeated 3-4 meals so far.

Have you looked on 2chubbycubs or pinch of nom etc for inspiration? Some lovely stuff on there.

randomer · 31/01/2017 13:34

yeah that baby food needs to go.

ALemonyPea · 31/01/2017 13:34

I stopped having soups as found I either not lost half a lb, didn't lose, or put on when I was having them. Strange.

Lost 2.5, that'll have to do. Can't say I'm not disappointed after the hard work I've put in this week, but hey ho, onwards and downwards. 14.5 lb to target.

randomer · 31/01/2017 13:59

bloody hell 2 and a half is brill

BasinHaircut · 31/01/2017 14:23

Well done Lemony, it might not be as much as you wanted but whatever you have done this week might be enough to kickstart the losses again.

I've just had a bag of Walkers Max for 13.5syns. Just needed them as I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself and wanted something I could actually taste (bloody cold).

Got 1.5syns left for dinner which is all I need so no damage done but it feels naughty to have such a high syn treat.

Got lamb madras from the SW curry club book for dinner, hoping that blows my head off and clears my nose!
