grovee looks good. I've got prawns to use. Was thinking of a stir fry with rice and peppers but yours looks good.
Good luck lemony I've had the dreaded cold, it's been hitting us one by one since Xmas. DS is on his second one!
Not weighing in again this week cos of work. Have started my 4 stone chart which feels good, still got 12.5lb to go thoGrin

zoka15 · 30/01/2017 13:27

Hi everyone! I desperately need some advice. We are off to Rome for a week and I really need to stay focused and try to stick to the plan - would be happy to maintain/ecstatic with any loss.... any suggestions.

ALemonyPea · 30/01/2017 13:51

TBH if I was going to Rome I'd enjoy the food and not worry too much. Lots of walking, try to steer clear of the bread, fried foods, pizzas and cheese, eat salads and lean cuts of meat, but make sure you don't panic about foods, you're on holiday after all.

Thanks em I'm definitely feeling much more positive now and thank you to everyone else it has really made me feel better about the whole situation.
I think I'm going to encourage her onto the computer a bit more rather than just the iPad. See if a bit of typing might boost her confidence a bit.
I'm making that soup for lunch! It's very simple but very tasty and filling plus you can add extra veg for speed if you want to.
Lemony last winter was like that for us I felt under th weather and run down for most of it and the kids just had one thing after another. I think I moaned about it on here a lot!! It really gets you down when you feel like crap constantlyFlowers

B-fruit,yogurt and nuts
L- soup
D-chicken and bacon casserole (aka poor mans coq au vinGrin) with green veg.

I ate a biscuit earlier, not sure why and I actually didn't really enjoy it! It was a foxes shortbread round, they used to be my favourite. Could it be that my tastebuds might actually be changing?ShockShockShock
Or maybe they've just changed the recipe!

ALemonyPea · 30/01/2017 13:56

Missed your post Em. Sorry you've not been having a good time SW wise. You can do it though, you know you can. Get back on that wagon.

I'm with lemony, enjoy Rome. A massive part of going to Italy is the food (says the fat italianWink) maybe stay away fro the pizzas and go for fish or meat?
Personally I would relax, enjoy it and deal with the consequences when I get back.

Frouby · 30/01/2017 13:57

Afternoon all

Good luck for tomorrow Lemony. I remember having Domino's the night before I went to have ds by c section. Must be a post op tradition!

We had Chinese last night. Chicken and mushrooms with boiled rice. Think it is about 9 syns. Boring but safe. The last few times I have had chinese food 'off plan' I have been ill the next day. So I tend to stick to either chick and mush or something in black bean sauce.

Feeling a bit fed up. Broke my toe last week and it's still really sore and woke up this morning with a huge stye on my eye which is pretty sore too. Plus my eye is all gunky and sticky and it's annoying me.

Todays plan
B. Coffee
L. Hm veg soup with a bit of grated cheese
T. Roast lamb and all the trimmings. Tons of speed. Fee syns for the gravy too. Hifis for b choice, milk in coffees.

laurieloo30 · 30/01/2017 14:37

Afternoon guys!

Been a bit quiet on here over the weekend boys have been poorly and feel like I have been chasing my tail with everything!!

Weighed in this morning and shocked as lost 3lbs! Lost my first stone and feeling more motivated than ever! My aim for this week is more speed!! And I am going to try and have 2 sp days.

Breakfast this morning was porridge. Lunch was crustless salmon and asparagus quiche with broccoli (see photo)
Dinner is yet to be determined!

Lemony/Buttwing - thanks very much.

randomer · 30/01/2017 15:29

Argh soup mix flop....I used a pack of ready diced butternut squash and onion......it its really horrible and there's loads of it! Can I save it?

like bitter and nasty

laurieloo30 · 30/01/2017 16:11

Randomer if it was me I would add lots of carrot to sweeten and maybe some curry powder as well to turn it into and curried butternut squash and carrot soup!

randomer · 30/01/2017 16:17

kind of wondering about cutting my losses and binning it.

Buttwing · 30/01/2017 16:28

Randomer it's not the Sainsburys one is it?
I've just made it and I'm hoping it's nice!!!!

SpaghettiMeatballs · 30/01/2017 16:53

randomer that's how i felt about the Waitrose courgette and lime soup pack. Disgusting.

I'd taken it to work too. I was so very sad that day!

randomer · 30/01/2017 17:07

yes sainsbos! I am feeling quite grumpy. may have been failure to sweat and then add stock.

I must say I usually make a good soup.
I do carrots, celery and spring onion as a base, then add butter beans or anything else tasty.

randomer · 30/01/2017 17:08

sweat the veg not me sweating

ALemonyPea · 30/01/2017 17:47

My op isn't until the 17th, means I've got just over 2 weeks of dreaming of pizza haha

Tomorrow I have WI, and I've done a week of SP, so if I haven't lost I will be so pissed off. Kept below 10 syns daily as well. It's not been a struggle, it's been ok. If I have a nice loss, I might do SP until I have my op.

Well done laurie and lunch looks nice!

Fx for tomorrow lemony.

1.5lbs off for me this week so 10lbs in 3 weeks. Well chuffed.

ClashCityRocker · 30/01/2017 19:01

Good luck for tomorrow lemony!

I'm also on a sp week, really good loss the first week of 6.5lb. Then only half a pound second week, so would like to see a bigger loss this week. Very much still getting to grips with the plan I think.

However, my last tax return has been submitted, hurrah! Normally that would mean a bottle of something to celebrate but am sticking to the water tonight.

Taster day at next group - what do people bring? I'm a bit stuck for ideas.

BasinHaircut · 30/01/2017 19:02

Just home from group, got bloody robbed of slimmer of the month! She awarded it to someone who lost 9.5lbs. I think she was having a mare tonight though as she also didn't realise that 2 other people had got awards. Or can't you get it in your first month?

I'm not fussed about being clapped in group or anything but I wanted a magnet

ClashCityRocker · 30/01/2017 19:35

Dunno about slimmer of the week in our group. I think it's the biggest loser who's also lost last week. I think, on balance, I'd probably rather not win it and have to cart home 800 mug shots, three peppers that are on the turn and a bag of lentils (actually, that was my contribution. I bought them in a fit of healthyness forgetting that I don't actually like lentils). I'd like a magnet though.

My half stone certificate has pride of place on the fridge though. I like to think it makes up for all the times DM refused to proudly display my ten metre swimming certificate or star of the week awards Grin

randomer · 30/01/2017 19:39

soup binned
lamb casserole binned
kit kat consumed

PositiveAttitude · 30/01/2017 20:01

Em what's the AAT news?? You've got me panicking now. I've looked on the website and can't see anything.

I also weigh in at 5:30 and have a bit of a ritual on what I eat and drink on a Tuesday. I always try to drink loads until 3pm.....then stop and no carbs during the day. I couldn't survive a day at work with nothing to eat all day!

Randomer I am sure the Kit Kat tasted better than the soup! Grin What was wrong with the lamb casserole? I do loads of veg soups and 99 times out of 100 they are lush, but occasionally I have had to throw one.

ClashCityRocker · 30/01/2017 20:12

Ooh AAT sounds like it's changed a lot from my day! Is it all computers now? We definitely didn't have a Decision and Control module.

I have lunch but not tea pre weigh in. I don't get back from work til 6.30 and groups at seven, so too soon for tea and before my normal weigh in anyway.

harderandharder2breathe · 30/01/2017 20:59

Meh, had a bad week last week which continued to this week. I had a perfectly decent sized dinner, followed by lean meat and a pear to snack on, and I'm still hungry but craving chocolate. Unfortunately the only chocolate in the house is a gift from someone else to another someone else so off limits (not easily replaced, which is good or it'd be long gone!) gone over on my syns already today. WI is Wednesday so I really need to be good and get some sort of loss after staying the same last week. I've decided to stop having crisps and chocolate at home at all, because I have zero self control. I have puft and kinder hippos at work where I won't eat them all in one go for fear of judging.
