I'm on it 100%!

Have 3 stone to lose, aiming for 1lb a week so all going well I'll be there by September

Have lost 1 stone 8 so far but haven't been motivated recently but I'm completely in the right frame of mind now and I'm going to do it

I've ordered 2 new sw cook books (curry one & fakeaway) and bought the 12 week journal so I've got some new ideas to try

Just weighed my healthy extras which is something I haven't done in months.

Today's plan
A - milk in coffee/cereal
B- wholemeal bread

Breakfast - scrambled eggs on toast
Lunch - tuna jacket & salad (2 syns Mayo)
Dinner - porky light sausages (1), mash, veg, bisto (2)

cut up squash (medium) into 2cm cubes approx and put them in oven sprayed with frylight at about 180 degrees with halved and cored red peppers (2/3) on 2nd shelf on different tray. Take out squash in 25 mins but take out half way through (12 mins) to turn pieces. You might need longer if bigger pieces. Take peppers out when skin is blackened. Put peppers in Tupperware in fridge until cooled and peel skin off flesh then cut into strips.
Cut up courgette into 3 cm discs and then quarters and red onion and scatter on tray. Spray with fry light.
Cut up aubergine into discs then cut in half so they look like semi circles. The wider bit I tend to cut into quarters. Put on sprayed tray then spray with fry light and salt. Place in oven for 20-25 mins but keep watchful eye for burning.
Place cous cous in bowl and cover with water / stock and stir. Cover with cling film. I use ratio of 100g cous cous to 100ml water. It comes out on the dry side but when it gets mixed in with veg, it soaks up excess water from veg. If you make a wetter cous cous, it tends to be quite sloppy!
Put all in a bowl and mix. Mine keeps for 3 days in fridge. Mix in cheese if you want. I've tried a lot of combinations but this is the one I've settled on

Let me know how it turns out. Bloody starving today. Had a red bush tea whilst out with a friend. Not my usual latte. Having an SW brekkie now for lunch. Not sure what to have for dinner!

I think one of the hardest things about dieting is being organised enough to know what you're having and having the stuff in to make it. I've had fruit salad with a muller light for breakfast and a long walk on the beach with my kids. Off to Tesco now, dangerous on a hungry tummy!!

I know, I am also spending a fortune!

I just made a lovely syn free roast dinner. I live in the UAE so today is my 'Sunday'. It was so nice. I made a gravy from a recipe on Pinterest. I agree with others that the hardest thing is trying to be organized and plan meals in advance.

I try and batch cook a few syn free meals then I can just pop it in the microwave on days when I haven't planned well

That looks like mine. Glad you like the taste. Were the oven timings ok? I have some HE feta with it and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

That looks delicious, I've just had KFC chicken fakeaway for tea, first time I've tried it but it was really nice , feel like I haven't been very good this week so need to get my head back into it before Mondays WI

Timings were good Thingymabob didn't do the peppers for long enough so there was a bit of skin that wouldn't come off. Will take it for lunch best week if it survives the rest of the weekend, my 10 year old has her eye on it!!
KFC sounds nice, might have a go at that next. Was it easy Beckyr86?

Beckyr86 · 14/01/2017 17:21

Yeah it's was really easy, I used the smash recipe so I think it a tweak? Probably needs to be synned but not sure how that works yet, it was really nice though even my 9 year old enjoyed it

I've had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, rice and a quorn fillet thing for lunch and a jacket potato and beans with low fat cheddar as a healthy extra for tea. Found some wine extract things in Sainsbury's today. They were in slimming world mag and are to add to bolognese or any sauce you'd have wine in. Will save opening a bottle of wine when cooking. Looking forward to using one 😁

What happened Oren?

I've had an ok start to the week. I had beans in toast for breakfast (HE) and then I forgot my purse so my friend bought me (and her) lunch from supermarket. We made wraps with hummus, tomatoes, beetroot, cucumber and skinny cheese (HE) - it was 8 syns (hummus was 5 alone!!)

I'm going to make a free curry with rice tonight and plan a better lunch tomorrow. Weigh in tomorrow and taking measurements too. ☘️

Well done theresalways i find it really hard not to think ahh sod it I had a lot of syns for lunch so might as well eat all the chocolate in the house now. It's something I need to stop doing!! I had fruit for breakfast and have just had couscous with roasted veg and a yoghurt for lunch. I'm having bolognese with spiralised squash instead of pasta for tea.
I need to get out of the mindset that this eating plan isn't a temporary diet and that it needs to be how I eat most of the time forever. Not sure I can do it 🐷

Report
Thingymaboob · 15/01/2017 14:26

You can do it fat loser! Bloody rubbish though. Just been to Aldi and stood looking at the chocolate for way too long. Going home to eat melon now.

Report
Fatloser · 15/01/2017 14:37

I can do it for as long as I'm doing it if you see what I mean. It's after that when I let myself have a little freedom. I need to change that part of me that is still, in the back of my mind, seeing this as a temporary diet. This is how I need to eat now forever, being in control and mindful of what I eat. It is bloody rubbish!! (Although I am pretty much enjoying what I'm eating and I have moved in a notch on my belt 😬

Report
TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 15/01/2017 18:39

Moving in a notch is fab! That's probably a good inch you've trimmed off yourself a least! I think it's easier to stick to plan when you know it's getting you the results you want. How much are you hoping to lose?

Had a creme brûlée and half bottle of wine Friday, and the 1/4 portion of a Chinese take away and more wine last night. I seem to be 100% on plan during the week. I'm not making any plans for next week as I just can't say no if temptation is put in the path Blush

It's so hard. I'm planning nothing involving temptation for at least 3 more weeks.
I'm wanting to lose about 1.5 stone. That would mean me being a slim size 10 which I was 10 years ago before kids. I reckon by Easter I could be well on my way 👍

I'm so hungry tonight. Made little pots of sugar free jelly last week and opened it up and it was mouldy on top. Have settled for cottage cheese.
Would love some toast with butter!!

Report
Beckyr86 · 15/01/2017 22:13

I think night times are the hardest, it's when I would usually have toast, crisps, chocolate and drink lots of coke, I manage ok through the day but I could eat the world right now
