Hello all, please may I join?
I'm back on plan after the fun of Christmas. I joined a group at the beginning of September and have lost 1 stone 10 pounds so far. I have been far from dedicated and this has to stop. I have 25 weeks until a big holiday and it has to be head down all the way!
Weigh in on a Saturday for me, aiming for 2 pounds off this week to finally get my club 10!

Well done all of you. em I will be happy with a 2lb gain but I'm afraid it will be higher. It's so easy to to fall off the wagon isn't it? We have dishes of sweets around and I just keep dipping in without thinkingBlush I've had toast pate and pringles this morning too.
I need to get a grip!!

Can I join please?

I waved a long goodbye to my lovely trim figure (8st 7lbs) after I had DD 9.5 years ago. I put on weight during the pregnancy and life as a single working mum with not enough time these past few years has seen my weight rocket beyond belief Sad Very guilty for snacking, eating huge portions of convenience foods and skipping meals/eating very late at night! Currently sitting at 12st 8lbs (I'm only 5 foot 2!) after an epic Christmas binge and I have just had enough. I feel disgusting, unhealthy and so incredibly sad that I've done this to myself. I can be quite an attractive woman when I get myself all dolled up and yet I've literally spent my 20's wearing baggy clothing feeling like a horrible, frumpy mess.

I want to change that. I'm turning 30 this spring and I want to look and feel fabulous. Goal weight would be 9 stone, though if I could lop off 2 stone for the big 3-0 in May I would be delighted! I can't afford to actually join slimming world atm (was made redundant right before Christmas), though I've got lots of SW recipe books and I've been putting together a plan at home. I'm hoping having tracked this thread down as well, that I can keep myself right until I can afford to join a SW group!

So...

Current weight - 12st 8lbs
Goal weight - 9 stone
Weight to lose - 3st 8lbs ShockSad

Welcome vino! Please don't feel sad and disgusting; weight gain can creep on without really noticing it. Draw a line under that now and think to the future. You can and will loose the weight. Start today. I kept putting it off and off and I felt the same after Christmas. I just thought I've had enough. I'm only on Day 2 but I feel my mentality has shifted a lot. I was trying to lose weight before my cousins wedding in December. Think I lost about 6lb (which I've put back on). Now I have no massive event looming. (A wedding in May and a holiday in August). The difference now is I'm doing it for ME! Hat I'm trying to say is slowly slowly we can make massive changes.

So far today...

HEA - 250ml semi skimmed milk.
HEB - 2 x 400g wholemeal bread.

Breakfast - Poached eggs on 1 x wholemeal. 1 syn for clover. 2 syns for sugar in tea.
Lunch - salmon fillet with soy sauce and chilli. Peas and sweetcorn. 1 x apple.
Dinner - SW Cheesy Broccoli Bake. - 4 syns.

Think I am going to order some new bathroom scales today. Normally I weigh myself on Boots scales but it's a faff.

Hello all and welcome to the newbiesSmile

I weighed yesterday, 4lbs on which I'm ok with. I've had pretty much three weeks off plan and it was the first day of my period so stomach like a beach ball. I weighed this morning and I'd lost 2lbConfused
Anyway I've still got loads on so I'm rolling with it til Monday then I'm back on it full force!

As we've got so many new people joining does anyone fancy a bit of a roll call? No weight needs to be revealed unless you want to.
I was thinking something like-

Butt wing age 37 with 4 dc
Weigh loss so far- 2 stone 11
Target loss- 5 stone
Target weight 9 stone 11 (happy with anything that starts with a 9 really!)

Or anything anyone wants to say really!

Welcome newbies!

Well, 1.5lbs on so not nearly as bad as I'd predicted. I got slimmer of the month for December so that felt good. Planning on enjoying some more naughties tonight before I start back on plan in the morning. If I don't get this 1.5lbs off again, I won't be happy.

Lost 2 stone so far. About Eleventy-Million still to go...

Can I join please? I've just joined SW online.

My weight has been creeping up and I did a post Christmas weigh in this morning. I was shocked to see I weigh the same as I did the day after I gave birth to my first baby. Blush

I have 2st 2lb to lose to get back to a healthy weight that I know looks good on me.

I have friends who have done really well on SW so hoping it works for me too.

Hello and thank you for very warm welcome!
I had good first day! I started off with weighing myself...10st 10lb much more than I thought! Id like to be 9st 6lb
For breakfast I made banana, egg and oat pancakes and had these with fruit, It was nice but on busy days ill have to stick with cereal.
lunch was salad with spinach stuffed mushroom and dinner was bbq pulled pork (slow cooker) with sweet potato wedges and coleslaw- my boys really liked that!
will have danone light and free yogurt for pudding
I did syn with smoothie but I was out shopping and got very hungry- I chose wisely it was one of those juicing stands, it was basically lots of fruits and fat free yogurt. Not ideal but hey! there was nowhere with loose fruit and I gave only banana I took with my to my son. Halo

PositiveAttitude I hope your dad will be ok!!!

I started SW in October
Loss so far; 2.5 stone

Total loss wanted; ideally 4 stone but haven't set a target

I'm 50 & have 3 DC. I've found it reletively easy and was totally 'in the zone' but Xmas has put a spanner in the worksGrin
I'm getting back on plan (strictly!) On Saturday

Hi spaghetti and welcomeSmile

Bloody hell lav I didn't realise you'd lost so much so quickly that's amazing!! Xmas is so hard food wise but just think where you would be if you hadn't started sw in October. A few pounds in the grand scheme of things isn't too bad.

Some massive losses, really inspiring.

So Cheesy Broccoli Bake wasn't a massive hit. I followed the recipe exactly, but it seemed to hold quite a bit of water. Probably wouldn't make it again. Full of veg though, I swapped some of the broccoli for cauliflower, tomatoes, spring onion, garlic. I had an activia yogurt with some blackberries for dessert. Finished the night with a Highlights hot chocolate with a little left over HEA milk. 12 syns today. Day 2 - success.

Thanks for all the good wishes for Ddad. Not heard from the hospital today. It's still on code black (no beds available) just sit and wait really. It's a draw back of living on an island when it is such a hassle to be hospitalised off island. DDad was in a better mood today, was quite bright and even pleasant to me! He knows things are not good and he knows he doesn't have long left to live, but he is so very sad that he can't see Dmum at the moment - she's in a nursing home with end stages of alzheimers. Life's a bit of a bugger at the moment!

If we are doing stats here's mine:
Age: 50 5DC and 2 Grandsons.
Started SW: June 14th 2016
Loss so far: 3 stone 8lb
Target: Not too sure, but maybe another 4 stone and then see how I feel.

Oooh, stats, yay.

Age: 39 (40 in February)
No kids, currently TTC No 1.
Reached target with SW in November 2016.
Total loss: 7 stone 3 lbs (101 lbs) - done SW on and off for the past 15 years. Did it so long ago that some of the recipes spell it "sins" so I don't take the bullshit that it's short for "synergies" too seriously
Loss this time: 4 stone 1 lb
Current loss: 3 stone 13 lbs

There's 8 years and just over 6 stone between the two photos...
