Well done to all losses, your posts are so inspiring.
I am so ready for a successful weight loss journey. Tomorrow is a brand new start for me. I have made a real effort to think positive this last week and I really do think it is starting to work - I can be prone to anxiety and negative thinking - not many people would guess as I am so 'bubbly', but the struggle is real at times. I have just checked the weather tomorrow and I intend on taking my DD to the park to use her new scooter and get me off my fat ass. I feel huge!!!

on Thursday I shall start again and face the consequences at weigh in.

Thanks Lemony. My MIL was saying she's starting again from NY (fair enough!), I was thinking 'Well I've made such good progress in the last few weeks, I don't want to undo it now'. I've had on of my note standard SW breakfasts (cereal with a sliced banana) which I feel is a good start to the day.

PA a loss Christmas week is amazing! Well done! Smile

summer, glad you feel inspired. Getting exercise definitely helps. Will you joining a SW group?

Faith - no I won't. I have done many times in the past, but usually only stay for the WI. I joined last Feb so I have all the books etc. I have DC6 and work full time - so it is just finding the time really. But I am going to set myself a weigh in day of Sat morning.

Good loss pa! Well done! Interesting reading how you are all getting on. I've had Xmas eve, Xmas day, boxing day off plan. Managed to just about stay on plan yesterday and hoping to today although I am going out for lunch later.

Realistically I can't have put on that much, but I did feel very bloated yesterday, feel better today. I've booked two weeks holiday from sw, should have weighed in yesterday and then on 3rd, but I know I'll be really disillusioned to see a big gain! Decided I'll be properly back on plan by the week after the 3rd so my next weigh in will be 10th Jan. By then hopefully there will be less damage! I'm sticking to plan when I can so fx this will work for me....

I have a SW booked in this week for the same reason Owlina. I know an official gain will make me feel crap, and I don't want it recorded.

Back on it as of yesterday and I have to say, I'm feeling very positive so far. Going to my sisters tonight for a curry evening, I've bought SW ready meal one and won't have any of the sides.

Only have New Year's Eve left to go, just having a quiet one at home with a few family over, doing pulled pork, crusty bread and coleslaw, with a few buffet things. Will make myself some SW friendly things.

Long shot as they are 'new' but does anyone know the syn value of Tilda Edamame spring onion and wasabi pouches? 140g 152 calories per portion.

FaithFromTheRealmsOfGlory · 28/12/2016 17:47

No idea sorry summer. Have you tried searching for syn calculator online?

Well I braved the scales and weighed in! ....and....I maintained! I'm delighted Grin I enjoyed Christmas but didn't go crazy. Definitely worth the starter/dessert sacrifice yesterday!

summerblonde, the Tilda product you asked about is 3 syns for the 140g pouch.

Well done Faith!

dannyglick - thank you.

So my first day has ended on 7 syns, I had Salmon for dinner with the Tilda thing. I had some baked beans earlier as a snack. I probably wouldn't rush out to buy it again. I used the remainder of my milk. I am tempted by a Freddo - but I have had more than enough chocolate this week. I will survive without it!

Well done pa and faith

Weigh in tomorrow. Been out for dinner today (didn't choose sensibly) and tonight have eaten crisps and maple glazed nuts.

Make me stop!

Start with a vengeance again on Friday morning!

Going to guess a 5/6lb gain... Blush

Well done Positive and Faith and welcome Summer , Buzi and anyone else I've missed.

Groove I am in a similar position to you, WI in the morning. I am roughly 70% cheese and 20 % chocolate. Think it's going to be about 5 lbs on (last Christmas was 6.5 lbs but I've been sober this year due to antibiotics). Was 1 lb under target last week so have 4 lbs to the top of range so should be OK with the grace week!

Have got the next few days meal planned already, and there's not much naughty left in the house, so should be fine to get back on plan.

Now if only my studying was going as well (Positive if you have any tips for making variances and all the ratio equations stick then I'm all ears!)

ALemonyPea · 29/12/2016 07:49

70% cheese Grin If you've gained Em, at least you enjoyed it. I had cheese and crackers Christmas night, was bloody amazing.

Off to an open air museum today, looking to and lots of walking involved so hoping to burn off a few lbs.

Thanks em. Good luck with WI.

I caved and had a Freddo last night - taking me to 12 syns.

I was about to go in on the Kettle chips - but didn't and went to bed.I was very happy about that this morning.

So here's to Day 2. I am going to make SW Cheesy Broccoli Bake for dinner this evening, as I think it will be something my DD6 will enjoy as well. I am also trying to have my cups of tea without my half a sugar.

Em those variance equations are evil!!! I think I have it, then do another question and its all wrong! When is your exam? Mine's 17th. I think, for me, I need to do a sort of square "picture" of the numbers to "See" where they all go and the variances between them, IYSWIM. That has worked for me for the fixed overhead ones, so today I am going to tackle the variable ones in the same mode.

Mega stressed again here as Ddad is very unwell and should be in hospital, but there are no beds Hmm so Dsis and I are running around like mad things. Dad needs an urgent amputation of at least toes, maybe foot within 48 hours we were told yesterday, so sat here waiting to see when he needs to get to the hospital today. It takes 2 of us an hour to get him sorted at home for going out, then into the car and the 10 minute drive to the hospital. We are very doubtful that he will survive a general anaesthetic.

After my elation of the weigh in on Tuesday I went a bit OTT on Tuesday evening and then found yesterday very difficult and ended up way over on the syns once again. Today I need to kick myself up the bum. I really dont want to go in next week with a gain after it going so well last week.

Summer 12 syns is fine. You are supposed to have between 5 and 15, so don't deny yourself those. I found that if I stuck to around 5 syns I didnt lose the weight as much as when I have around 10-15. Enjoy them! That's what they are there for.

Report
summerblonde · 29/12/2016 08:54

Postitive - thank you. I agree, when I have done SW in the past and cut back on syns as much as I can, my weight loss has slowed.

I hope your Ddad is ok, it is awful that he can't get a bed, hopefully they will get him one very soon. Sending my thoughts.
