Lol Spaghetti my friend uses the lidl's sky r yoghurts as they are free and really creamy for serving with. Will try some as I have extra days off this week!

ALemonyPea · 14/01/2017 11:08

I love baked oats. They're like having cake for breakfast, feels naughty.

Trying a different HEB today, I can highly recommend it. Fruit ryvita (2 for HEB), jam and Philadelphia cheese (HEA). Bloody gorgeous.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I strangely manage much better during the week than the week days as I'm always busy.

B: jammy ryvita, fruit, 1 syn for jam
D: ham and egg salad, 1.5 syns for salad cream
T: paella, probably have chorizo, need to syn it

I think this week (week 2) is going okay but I went out for dinner with friends last night. I had decided in advance that I would have anything I wanted as we don't go out very often but I wouldn't eat or drink for the sake of it. I finished up having calamari with garlic mayo as a starter then grilled salmon with noodles plus a large glass of wine but I didn't have pudding or a second glass and we walked the 2 miles there and back so I class that as a balanced night out. Had a sneaky wi yesterday and thus morning just out of interest and don't seem to have put weight on but it might catch up with me later in the week???

mayathebee · 14/01/2017 11:12

Think I am going to try the baked oats this week. They sound delicious

LavenderRains · 14/01/2017 11:27

Baked oats are lovely and I am not really a cake person. Keep meaning to do them again.

Was treat night last night so had our weekly indian takeaway.

Back on it today.

Brunch. Beans and poached eggs on toast (Heb). Was lovely but didn't fancy any speed with it.
Tea. Steak, roast new potatoes, mushrooms, onions, roast meditation veg, drizzle of pepper sauce to be syned.

alibongo5 · 14/01/2017 12:51

Frouby "roast meditation veg"!! Gotta love spell checker!

Full SW cooked brekkie today
Probably skip lunch
SW burger and chips tonight with bun for HEB and cheese on top for HEA.

Then taking my husband to a localish pub to see a band he likes. I think I'll offer to drive so I'm not tempted by the beer! Wine for syns when I get back I think.

littlecupcake · 14/01/2017 13:04

Just found a box of Charbonnel pink Marc de champagne truffles Grin Before I get carried away, does anyone know how many syns they are? I can't find them in syns online. Trying to resist them until I know how bad they are!

TheImprobableGirl · 14/01/2017 14:31

Just managed to navigate a tricky birthday party at pizza express! Had the leggera pollo pizza and one Dough ball so hopefully all is not ruined! Under 600 cals anyway!

Just a quick one basin about your dinner (looked gorgeous!) I'm not sure that peas are speed food- something to do with carb content so you didn't have your speed on that one! Sorry Wink

ChessieFL · 14/01/2017 14:40

Peas are protein, not speed.

BasinHaircut · 14/01/2017 15:00

improbable my mash was mainly carrot and swede with just a splodge of potato so got my speed in that way!

Wasn't a lot of speed floating around yesterday as today is shopping day or would have had a bit more, maybe green beans instead of peas.

Sorry in advance for all of the photos, I find it helps for some reason. Love seeing everyone else's meals too.

Should have taken a photo of lunch today as it was immense. 3 egg omelette with just fried onions in and 3 syns of cheese sprinkled on top, spaghetti hoops and carrot chips roasted in a bit of spray oil. Counted 2 syns for the oil sprayed in omelette and chips to be safe so 5syns all in and tasted quite naughty.

Frouby · 14/01/2017 15:08

Yeah mediation veg is a thing.

It sits there in your plate and facilitates a discussion between your fat self and your thin self making sure your thin self triumphs. #trufact

TheImprobableGirl · 14/01/2017 16:03

Good plan basin! I really love peas and am v sad I can't use them as speed Sad woe is me

TheImprobableGirl · 14/01/2017 16:04

Also I love the pictures! Really helps me to get a grip on portion sizes and allows some really good ideas to develop! (I sound like a corporate training programme Grin)

BasinHaircut · 14/01/2017 16:12

For portion control we have quite small plates and I make sure we can still see some plate once all food is on there.

Saucy meals I've taken to serving in pasta bowls as it looks like more in them as they are smaller than plates. Will make sure I post a pic of tonight's dinner.

harderandharder2breathe · 14/01/2017 17:31

B a pear, HEXB wholeneal toast and 2 laughing cow light triangles part of HEXA
L omelette with pepper and ham, blackberries
D smoked haddock with broccoli, green beans and baby sweetcorn
S puft 3 1/2 syns (thanks to you lot I discovered them!) and I'll have my other HEXB with the rest of my HEXA later and some mikado

Groovee · 14/01/2017 17:38

Made fajita beef with garlic and paprika. Served with lettuce wraps and tomato and cucumber. Mushrooms and onion in the beef. The whole table loved it.

I've been out the house all afternoon, I was starving. On the drive home all I was thinking is 'I'm going to get a takeaway'. I've been on plan almost 3 weeks only using my syns - so I thought it was well justified. 😏

Anyway, I'd made the chorizo and chicken dish buttwing posted earlier in the month - it tastes so good, I think I'm going to give the takeaway a miss. I put it all in the slow cooker so lunchtime on high (then medium). Think I'll serve with rice, I need the speed I know, but i do not fancy any veg right now.

Other than what I had this morning, I've had one satsuma. I'll count 2 syns for the chorizo. And another 1 syn for sugar in cups of tea. 8.5syns. (Oh and about 4 chips I pinched off my DD chippy tea.) For some reason I feel so chunky today, if been feeling a bit more svelte these last few days. 😊 Maybe it's hormonal 😩

ALemonyPea · 14/01/2017 18:30

hoping to get back in touch with my inner sprout. 😆

Maya, baked oats base recipe:
40g oats
Tbs sweetener
One egg
Small tub 0% fat free yoghurt
Splash vanilla essence

Then add whatever else you want to it, remember cooked fruit is synned. I like to add blueberries and lemon curd, or grated carrot and orange essence instead of vanilla.

Didn't stay with my meal plan for dinner, as DH and I went looking at kitchens and took longer than we thought. So had a packet of ritz thngies for 5.5 syns at my mams when collecting the DC and scoffed some ham and salad around half 4 and also a banana. DH cooking paella, I'm starving.

Still only on 6.5 syns for the day, so will have something later. Still no chocolate this week as hoping that was what was restricting my loss.

Excited about tomorrow's dinner though, roast chicken with Yorkshire pudding and roasties. Discovered aunt Bessie's mini roasties are only 1.5 syns for 100g. I could do my own syn free ones but can't be arsed and they're not as nice as ones in real fat.

Looking at making a quiche for dh. Hoping it will be easy

ALemonyPea · 14/01/2017 19:21

Quiches are easy, better the next day as they firm up.

Currently cooking one for myself for tomorrow. Full of speed. Mmmmm.
