Welcome everyone.

WI this morning, lost a lb, so I'm back to the 4 stone loss and sitting precisely on target. It's such a lovely feeling. My consultant has asked me to do a write up for her with photos for promoting the group (which I will do this weekend).

Feeling so pre-menstrual today though, not due on until Monday so have meal-planned for the weekend with that it mind (lots of carbs!) because if I get hangry when I'm hormonal it's bloody carnage!

BasinHaircut · 13/01/2017 08:36

Nice one em, you are amazing! 4 stones!

How do you maintain? Are you still on plan or do you have extra HE's or syns etc? Or a day a week off plan of something?

I've not even had my first weigh in yet so I don't know why I'm worrying about these things yet! Grin

Today I am using all of my syns on lunch. I work next to an amazing street food market and my favourite thing there is this chicken wrap. The filling is completely free stuff but the wrap is quite big so I'm assuming it's gonna be 15 syns, maybe even a bit more to be honest but seeing as I didn't have any dinner yesterday I'm going to overlook that Blush

Rest of the day will be:
B - porridge (HEXA AND HEXB), pear
Snacks - satsuma and banana
D - LM sausages (the free ones) mash made with potatoes, carrots and swede, peas and syn free gravy.

BasinHaircut · 13/01/2017 08:37

P.s. I know that's light on speed but it's the day before the grocery shop

alibongo5 · 13/01/2017 08:44

Today:

Breakfast: Weetabix and Milk (hexA and B)
Lunch: Leftover cheesy coated chicken and sweet potato rosti
Dinner: No idea - husband STILL hasn't decided what he wants to do for his birthday (which was yesterday) so might be eating out or might not!
Snacks: Usual (boring) fruit
Syns: Alcohol of some kind.

On a plus note, half a bottle of wine was sitting on the table next to me saying "drink me, drink me" - I had a glass. And stopped. So I have got willpower. It is just usually very well hidden.

emwithme · 13/01/2017 09:31

Basin I tend to have more Healthy Extras (usually 2 of each but sometimes 3 - it's nice having milk and cheese again) and one meal a week where I have whatever I (or DH) wants, usually for Friday or Saturday night tea! This week it's pie and chips (although the chips will be done in the actifry as usual) and I will enjoy every pastry-filled mouthful. I've also started having a graze box delivered to work once a week which is a really nice treat (I go to college two evenings a week so it's a nice afternoon treat on those afternoons). I'd say that 80% of the time I'm on plan, and if I need to I can pull things back to 100% to make up for a big weekend (like this week where my scales were showing a 2lb gain on Monday morning but I got it back to a 1lb loss by Thursday).

It's a lot harder than I thought it would be though. I gained three pounds the first week I was at target Blush

Today's plan:

B: Eggy muffins
L: Leek & potato soup, iceland meatballs, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Spaghetti bolognaise
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

buzibuzi · 13/01/2017 10:23

todays plan
b: porridge with cinnamon and lots of plums that were going to go off so needed eating
banana
l: tomato soup (because its snowing in london!!!) or a salad with salmon and boiled egg..or both?!
d: turkey, meatloaf, beetroot, french beans
have a nice day everyone

ALemonyPea · 13/01/2017 12:04

I'm scared of getting tomtarget and maintaining. I guess it's just finding what suits you and what works once you get there. You're doing fab Em.

Anyone else got snow? No driving for me, lots of walking, getting that body magic in.

Having an SP day because it's pizza Friday. Love me some pizza.

B: courgette, tomato and mushroom omelette
D: chicken salad
T: pizza baby! Using both B choices and A choice.

I've just had a delicious experiment omelette Grin

Mushrooms, courgette, leeks, tomato, sweet corn, peas fried with fry light spray and then covered with egg whisked up with a couple of tablespoons of quark

I've never used quark before but it turned out really tasty and very filling (and free too I think)

Made soup with onion, carrot, broccoli, green beans, courgette and some lentils. Having for lunch.

Groovee · 13/01/2017 12:48

Forgot I put loads of mushrooms in too. It was lovely. Was that busy enjoying the taste I forgot about the bread 😂.

alibongo5 · 13/01/2017 13:01

I think I'm going to make a big pot of soup tomorrow. I'm sure I have loads of veg getting to the tail end of their life which I can make use of!

Buttwing · 13/01/2017 13:08

I've just gone to back soup with the roast chicken left from last night and fucking dp has given it the dog and cats. Grrrrrrrr!!!!

Groovee · 13/01/2017 13:43

Aww typical Butt

harderandharder2breathe · 13/01/2017 14:07

Started to get slight annoyed at the differences between the sheet of foods and the online diary. On the sheet, red kidney beans and quorn pieces are both P but not on the online diary. And geeen beans are S on the sheet but not the diary.

ALemonyPea · 13/01/2017 14:09

LTB Butt.

I find the online thing is quite crap, you really have to search sometimes for something. There must be an easier way. You can't even narrow things down.

OP posts:
alibongo5 · 13/01/2017 14:29

Tbh I think the whole SW website is a bit crap. You can't browse recipes easily - only by words in the title. So for instance you can't look at all pasta dishes, you have to search for "spaghetti", "penne" "pasta" etc. They need to set it out like a good recipe book and group recipes better. The whole site needs a good overhall. I find I don't really use it much.

BasinHaircut · 13/01/2017 14:42

em that sounds sensible. Do you find yourself slipping on speed or have you found it important to keep that up?

I think any weight loss I've achieved before is totally ruined by portion sizes. I've got smaller plates now though. Some old ones that belonged to my DH's gran and are 30-odd years old. So much smaller than modern ones. The bowls are excellent for controlling cereal portions.

alibongo5 · 13/01/2017 14:45

Even the fact that it doesn't keep you logged on but you have to click twice in different places to log on annoys me!

summerblonde · 13/01/2017 14:52

So far today...

HEXA - 250ml milk
HEXB - 2 x wholemeal bread.

B - the usual. 2 poached eggs on 1 x wholemeal. 1 syn for marg. 1 syn for sugar in 2 cups of tea.

L - Princess Mackerel, Korma. 1 x wholemeal. Satsuma.

D - I'm going to make Baked Vegetable Frittata and have with salad. I need to ramp up the speed food.

harderandharder2breathe · 13/01/2017 15:07

Having an SP day today which I struggle to do often.

B apple and 2 alpen light HEXB
L smoked haddock, broccoli, green beans and baby sweetcorn and a kinder hippo (6 syns)
D (will be) mushy pea curry (no rice) mainly cause it needs using up and I have no room in the freezer. It's full of speed veg plus kidney beans, mushy peas and quorn pieces for the protein
Snacks: puft 3 1/2 syns, 6x finns rye thins HEXB with laughing cow light HEXA and ham.

Buttwing · 13/01/2017 15:09

Lemony that was my first thought when he told me!

summerblonde · 13/01/2017 16:19

Baked Vegetable Frittata - about to go in the oven 😋. Lets hope they taste nice when done.

ClashCityRocker · 13/01/2017 18:05

Hello all!

My first meeting last night was good, everyone was dead friendly, although it is a wee bit 'happy clappy'.

Must admit I was surprised by how strict they are on holidays! But I suppose it's all for the good, means I can't dip in and out.

So starting weight is 13 stone 2 Sad with a target of 9 stone 7lb.

Think I get the concept though and it seem like it will fit in really easily to family life.

So today

B: muller light and some mixed berries
L: scrambled egg with smoked salmon and a load of spinach
T: Home made Koftes with 95% lamb mince, salad, tomatos and some quark with crushed garlic mixed in.

I've got friends over so will use some Syns on vodka Blush

ClashCityRocker · 13/01/2017 18:10

Oh and used hex a for milk in scrambled eggs.

I'm struggling with hex b. Can't stand the taste of wholemeal, don't like nuts or ryvita. I don't want to syn milk to have some cereal so I think I'll skip it...is that ok?

SpaghettiMeatballs · 13/01/2017 18:16

Clash would you like the Dorset Cereals Muesli? It's lovely with a dollop of fat free Greek yoghurt and a few berries.
