oh forgot to say every time I go to kitchen I get myself glass of water and drink it straight away, seems to be working much better thank having 100ts abandoned drinks around the house!

peeing frequency is very annoying tho

alibongo5 · 12/01/2017 14:46

Lemony - is the quiche with quark (sounds like a duck to me!) recipe on the SW site or can you share it - sounds worth doing!

ALemonyPea · 12/01/2017 14:56

I just chucked everything together and hoped for the best Ali. I've been doing this one recently

5 eggs
100g garlic and herb quark (1 syn or use plain for free)
Mushrooms
Courgettes
Cherry tomatoes
80g reduced fat cheese (2xHEA as lasts me two days)

Put mushrooms and courgette into your dish. I've sprayed mine with fry light to stop sticking
Mix quark, eggs and cheese together and pour over veg.
Put tomatoes on top
Cook has mark 5 for roughly 30 minutes or until all cooked. Might be wobbly in the middle so cook a little longer.

thank you for recipie lemony this would be lovely with salad for lunch

TheImprobableGirl · 12/01/2017 16:01

Was a bfn this morning folks/ not too disappointed because I wanted to get on terms with SW a bit more first- and we have two already, so if it doesn't happen at all then it's really no big thing!

Days gone fairly well, but need to have a healthy dinner because breakfast was atrocious!

B- 3 bacon medallions, 3 reduced fat sausages (6 syns), some beans, two crustless toast, four tomato halves and two eggs Shock
S- (2pm) a satsuma
L- (4pm) leftover cottage pie mashed together, with 1/2 HEA mozzarella and green pepper
D- not sure. Something healthy with chicken.... maybe couscous and chickpeas, roasted vegetables and marinated chicken? Does that sound healthy enough?!

alibongo5 · 12/01/2017 16:20

Cheers Lemony! I think that all the Asda cooking quark is free - I think that's what our consultant said? But I thought the garlic and herb one tasted a bit synthetic anyway so would probably rather use plain and put my own garlic in. Will definitely try that at the weekend. (If I can remember to get some quark!)

Improbable - bfn? I take it that means you're not pregnant this time? Sounds like it was no biggie so glad to hear that you're ok with it. Only thing wrong I can see with your brekkie is probably not quite enough speed but four tomato halves is pretty good anyway. But just maybe eat some more fruit and/or veg and you're fine I think.

Buzi - As far as water goes, I don't remember anything being said about this - should we be aiming for a set amount per day?

TheImprobableGirl · 12/01/2017 17:03

Ali- I couldn't physically fit in any more fruit and veg Grin I had to roll to do my yoga afterwards!

Frouby · 12/01/2017 17:13

I just used plain quark.

Did 6 eggs but one was a double yolker from my lovely chickens.
1 small tub of quark from aldi
A slided up red pepper
Some left over gammon I found in the freezer
2 tomatoes

I fried the gammon of for a minute or 2 as it was still slightly frozen, added the pepper for a minute to soften. Chucked them in bottom of sprayed tin.

Whisked eggs, added quark and salt and pepper. Poured over ham and peppers and jiggled it about a bit. Placed sliced tomatoes on top. Baked at 180 for about 30 minutes.

It was lovely and I have over half left for tomorrow. Until dp comes home and sees it lol. I usually have salad with quiche but I don't have any in so had it with a blob or brown sauce. Worth the syns for the sauce.

ClashCityRocker · 12/01/2017 17:55

Off to my first ever meeting tonight! I'm a wee bit nervous, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

Buttwing · 12/01/2017 18:02

Had a crap day with the kidsSad the have been little sods all day I'm exhausted. My mum popped over and took pity on me and is babysitting for a couple of hours while dp takes me out for dinner and feeds me wine while I rock in a corner

Some days things just HAVE to be doneGrin

Buttwing · 12/01/2017 18:05

Clash good luck I'm sure they will be a friendly lot.
Improbable oh well if/when you do get pregnant your body will be in tip top condition!

BastardGoDarkly · 12/01/2017 18:17

Hello!! Had my very first meeting Tuesday!

I'm all inspired, and cooking aloo gobi, I'm veggie, but there seems to be loads of recipes 😊

Also started the shred Monday (god my arse aches); and doing dry January too.

Thingymaboob · 12/01/2017 18:45

Lost 3lb! Very pleased. Not had any syns today so eaten a twirl

harderandharder2breathe · 12/01/2017 19:25

B apple and 2 alpen light bars HEXB
L 3 egg omelette with pepper and ham, a pear and mullerlight
D quorn low fat sausages (not as nice as the normal 1 syns ones... will be switching back with my next shop) with mash made with light laughing cow HEXA and green beans and carrots. Followed by s kinder hippo and mikado

Are green beans classed as speed? On the sheet I have they are, but in the online diary they're not?

dannyglick · 12/01/2017 19:43

harderandharder2breathe, yes, green beans are a speed food.

summerblonde · 12/01/2017 20:10

Thanks lemony, Faith and Lavender, I'll carry on happily munching my syns.

So today...

HEXA - 250ml semi skimmed milk
HEXB - 1 x 400g wholemeal.

B - 2 poached eggs on wholemeal bread. 1 syn for marg, 0.5 syns for sugar in tea. 1 apple.

L - homemade butternut squash and sweet potato soup.

D - slimming world carbonara. 1.5 syns. Wasn't a massive fan to be honest. I added garlic and mushrooms. I've seen another recipe for carbonara using light Philadelphia so think I'll try that one next time. 1 syn on another brew. 4 syns. Will have a Freddo later taking me to 8 syns today.

Probably not had enough speed food today. Will try and eat more tomorrow but I am getting a sore throat. 🤒

Well done to everyone who has lost the lbs this week, some brilliant loses. Hopefully I'll lose more that a 1lb on Monday! X

FaithAgain · 12/01/2017 20:21

Well done Thing!

buzibuzi · 12/01/2017 21:12

alibongo my usual intake is well below recommended 6-8 glasses of fluid a day hence why Im working on it
Drinking water definitely helps with weight loss, I dont know what is SW reccommended amount as I dont go to meetings

buttwing I HEAR YOU GIRL! Homework with DS 1 (10) tonight took all my patience and restraint (not that I had much left from spending all day indoors with DS2 (2) )

ending day on 10 syns,(avocado and hummus) just munched some carrots with hummus after yoga, off to shower and bed with book! Have a lovely low syn evening ladies!

buzibuzi · 12/01/2017 21:12

Well Done Thingymaboob 3lb whoop whoop!!

harderandharder2breathe · 12/01/2017 21:17

Thank you danny

Groovester · 12/01/2017 21:25

Only half a pound off. I'm honestly really disheartened. Been on plan all week.

Feeling glum xxx

alibongo5 · 12/01/2017 21:29

Well done Thingymaboob!

Feeling very virtuous - went to a weight class at the gym which was hard work.

Today's food:
Breakfast: Muesli (hexB), berries and yoghurt
Lunch: Leftover spicy risotto, followed by pear and apple
Snack: Banana
Dinner: Cheese and breadcrumb coated chicken (hexA for the cheese) with sweet potato rosti topped with leek and onion served with courgette in tomato sauce

Syns: ginger cookie (4 I think), bit in breadcrumbs for chicken, probably wine later.....

Will try drinking more water - do more in the summer but don't think of it in winter, though I am drinking some now.

BasinHaircut · 12/01/2017 21:43

Evening all. Went out straight from work so I've had no dinner yet and aren't going to be home until almost half 10 so I probably won't have anything.

I ate 2 weetabix and milk (for 9 syns) before I left work though so I have had something. I am very proud of myself for drinking only Diet Coke and water at the pub though so I'm still 'on plan'.

Rest of day was:
B - weetabix and milk (hexa and hexb), pear
L - chick pea and sweet potato curry and rice (4.5 syns), banana and satsuma

So ended the day on 13.5 syns.

ALemonyPea · 12/01/2017 21:52

Ali, flavoured quark is 1 syn per 100g, not sure why it's not free.

Butt, hope you enjoy your night out.

Going to have pizza tomorrow, can't wait.

Buttwing · 12/01/2017 22:11

Thank yes my night was lovely and I showed a tiny bit of restraint by not having any dessert!
The rest of what I had wasn't great and I had a glass of prosecco and a big glass of red. But I feel much better and more able to cope with my hormonal 11 year old who text me to say she can't find her pe kit, my stroppy 6 year old who's fed up at not going to McDonald's tomorrow night because she's been so naughty today and my 3 and 2 year old who we have re christened the kraysGrin
