About to attempt a risotto. Primarily a vegetable one, but bacon too and have prawns for me and Dh to have.

LavenderRains · 11/01/2017 16:01

5.5lb off for me today! Makes me feel better about the maintain and gain at Xmas. 3.5lb to go for 3 stone Smile

I have used vanilla quark mixed with a sachet of options hot chocolate, it's lovely, like a mousse.

alibongo5 · 11/01/2017 16:15

Wow! Well done Lavender! Brilliant loss.

Groovee · 11/01/2017 17:04

Groovee · 11/01/2017 17:06

Based on the quick veg risotto recipe from SW site. Added bacon and prawns. Has carrots, baby sweetcorn, courgette spring onions, green beans and broccoli. Added cabbage for extra speed

Ooooh yum groovee I'm having the slimming world cottage pie (with the whole bag of kale used up!) as soon as dp gets home... can't wait! I used half potato and half butternut squash on top, so hopefully not too bad and going to have carrots with it for a speedboost!

Well done lavender! Hoping for a good first week here... anyone else extra cold with not eating so much??

LavenderRains · 11/01/2017 19:13

ThanksSmile I do feel the cold more, I thought it was because of the fat I'd lostGrin lots of hot cups of tea does the trick! (No biscuits tho! )

summerblonde · 11/01/2017 19:27

Checking in for today. So many brilliant losses on here this week.

HEXA 250ml semi skimmed milk
HEXB 1 x 400g wholemeal bread

B - 2 poached eggs on 1 wholemeal bread. 1 syn for marg. 0.5 syn for sugar in cup of tea.

L - homemade butternut squash & sweet potato soup. 1 apple.

S - pasta mug shot 2 syns.

D - salmon with soy sauce and chilli, rice and fried (Fry light) tomatoes and red onions. Salad cream (full fat) tbsp 2 syns.

Will have a Freddo and a brew later and finish on 11 syns.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 11/01/2017 20:11

Wow Lavender that's ace! I WI tomorrow. Eeek.

I was so busy today I only had one cup of tea which means for the first time ever I have synned milk and used my hxA for milk!

B: Muesli, melon, yoghurt.
L: pasta with lots of veg. 3 syns for half jar of M&S tomato and sweet garlic sauce.
D: cheese, tomato and mushroom omelette, 2 x Linda McCartney sausages and tablespoon of beans.

Going to have a freddo and cup of tea later so ending on about 10 syns to allow for a bit of milk in tea.

OwlinaTree · 11/01/2017 20:14

Exciting improbable! Is it a retest in the morning situation? Waiting for //Smile from you now!

Some lovely meals there, looks Yummy.

I had weigh in last night, lost 1.5lb! Got my 1 1/2 stone award too. Only 7lb to go till I hit normal bmi. Loads of newbies obviously, but I liked that, brought some new energy to the class. The leader suggested to someone to try the Iceland meals instead of having a takeaway, made me lol as I'd made the same suggestion on here!

Has anyone tried the Skyr yogurts? The leader had some on the table and I've seen them in Morrisons. They are not free but low syn. Are they worth a try? The flavours sound lovely.

Groovester · 11/01/2017 20:34

Some amazing losses this week. Well done! Lavender, you rock!

Weigh in for me tomorrow evening. Been on plan all week. One day where I snacked a lot but only up to 10 syns (It was mainly salt and vinegar jumbo snack a jacks!) It did make me feel really guilty though.
I'm really hoping for a good loss after the last fortnight. I know it was only a 1.5 gain over Christmas but I wanted to lose that last week and only lost a pound of it. I want the errant half pound gone along with another hefty chunk!

BasinHaircut · 11/01/2017 20:43

Evening all! Some impressive losses today!

Day 3 on the plan today:
B - weetabix and milk (HEXA AND HEXB), pear
L - SW falafel, sweet potatoes and salad, light cheese triangle (1.5syns), satsuma
Snack - muller bliss (4syns)
D - chick pea and sweet potato curry (4.5syns), micro pilau rice (1syn) and cucumber

So ending the day on 11 syns again. Might have a glass of milk with my remaining syns.

Groovee · 11/01/2017 21:12

Loving the food ideas. I need to plan next week soon.

Went to the brownie planning meeting with my hifi bar. Didn't touch any of the biscuits.

BasinHaircut · 11/01/2017 21:22

Just had 2 caramel snack a jacks with my remaining 4 syns. Feels naughty to use them all up! Have to keep telling myself that it's ok to use all 15.

Just wondering what to do about tomorrow night. Have got drinks after work (which is fine, I'll have Diet Coke and water) but I'll need to eat something for dinner. Think I need to try and hold out for beans on toast or something when I get home.

LavenderRains · 11/01/2017 21:26

Thanks groovester Grin well done owlina I think my bmi is still pretty high but it's slowly coming down. What is normal??
Good luck for all those WI tomorrow.

D; bacon and egg sandwich (hexb bread)
T; chicken breastfeeding, rice, mushrooms
Also had melon, yogurt , satsumas

Buttwing · 11/01/2017 21:42

LavenderRains · 11/01/2017 22:34

breastfeeding chicken GrinGrin what is my phone thinking!! I'm sure breastfeeding a chicken would prove very painful (but think of the calories it would use!)

SpaghettiMeatballs · 12/01/2017 07:32

Lost 2lb so 4lb so far. 21lb to go!

Was disappointed last week with 2lb because I was hoping I would get the dramatic, big loss lots of people seem to get in the first week or so but I think I've accepted that isn't going to happen so I'm happy enough.

Still weigh more than before Christmas though. Arghhh!
