Probably been asked before but I'm a newbie... On the online sas log, is there a way of viewing the food log for previous days? It's brilliant for sorting potential downfalls e.g. Unplanned syns, not measuring etc, but I can only see the current day.

Also, how do i get to the sas log from the SW homepage? I've had to keep a tab open because I can't see how on earth to get to it again!

ALemonyPea · 10/01/2017 23:24

Great losses PA and Maya.

PA if only I listened to my own advice.

Well done on the will power Summer.

Little cupcake, sorry can't help as the online page is different to the group page.

Ah Lemony, how disappointing. Wish I could help with suggestions but I feel too much of a newbie to really understand/help. It seems like you've stuck to plan well so it must be really frustrating. The only thing I can suggest is the obvious really - have you been weighing out your As and Bs? Our consultant says it's the most common reason to slip up - that and not always remembering eating odd things besides meals etc. I'm sure you'll find that it all starts going right again if you stick to it.

I had to laugh at group today when one long time member said "you remember I was going to draw a line under last week? Well I rubbed it out!" She had had a bad week with leftover goodies in the house.

I was pleasantly surprised at losing 2lb this week - can't help wondering what would have happened if I hadn't had all that booze and curry (not to mention non-sw friendly fry up for breakfast) at the weekend. Determined to do better at sticking with it for the whole of the week this time instead of up to the weekend!

Come on everyone, we're all doing so well, let's keep at it!

Frouby · 11/01/2017 06:59

buzi I have just switched to aldi after either using tesco or ocado. Both used to cost around £130 for 2 adults, 2 dcs (12,3). That did include cleaning stuff and toiletries tho.

But I spent £70 at aldi on monday and that included a load of fresh fruit and veg, 3 lots of chicken breasts, stewing beef, mince steak. Then the rest was cupboard or a few bits for freezer plus loo rolls and bleach and wet wipes.

I have always found aldi ok for a few bits but the quality of fruit and veg let it down. Since buying the Christmas veg there I have been very impressed with the freshness and quality tho. And the meat has been good too. Probably meat abd veg better quality than tescos. Will still be a few bits I get from somewhere else like washing powder but am happy so far and nearly halved our bill.

Wi this morning. Gulp. Need to have sgift3d some of the December 9lb.

LavenderRains · 11/01/2017 07:51

Well done on losses everyone. And summer for that willpower. It's so hard to resist sometimes most if the time
Alemonypea it must be frustrating to be stuck on that number but flippin heck woman you've lost nearly 6 bloody stone!!🎉🎉 I can understand that you want to reach that 6 but maybe your body has reached its level weight now?? Don't beat yourself up, that's some achievement and you give us all hope!!Star
As for me....weigh in today. Need to lose something to claw back the maintain then 2lb gain over Xmas. I've been on plan this week so fingers crossed. I want to reach my 3 stone loss by March. Have lost 2 & a half since October, put 2 on over crime so onwards and upwards Smile
Feeling ill tho with a sore throat. Will probably get the cold that everyone seems to have!
good luck all weighing in today.

Also, shopping wise, I get all my meat and fresh fruit and veg from Lidl. It's so much cheaper and good quality.
Right, I will shut up now!!

LavenderRains · 11/01/2017 07:52

*crimbo not crime Confused

BasinHaircut · 11/01/2017 08:53

God yes Aldi is so much cheaper and when DS starts school in September I will switch back but right now I'm paying more to use Tesco online for shopping because I just don't have time to go to the supermarket and I can do my online shop on work time

Online also helps me to stick to the list. I meal plan and stick stuff in the basket at the same time. I never look at deals etc unless it's something on the list. When you go into the store they are shoved in your face. Although Aldi don't really do deals on food apart from the super 6 stuff.

Frouby · 11/01/2017 09:19

Back from wi. 3.5lbs off.

Thank fuck lol.

Plan for today

B. Coffee
L. Hm leek and potato soup
T. Stew and a fuckton of veg.
Syns in stew gravy, dunno what else yet. B choice either museli or hifis.

alibongo5 · 11/01/2017 09:30

Plan today:

B: Weetabix and milk from HeA and B
L: Spicy scrambled eggs cooked with onion, chilli, curry powder, spinach and served with mushrooms for speed
D: Leftover risotto from Monday (it was one of those dishes that just grew and grew as I cooked it and I think I could have fed most of you lot on here with it as well)
Snacks: Fruit - apple, pear, banana
Syns: Wine at the cinema tonight - I love our independent cinema, wine is so much nicer than popcorn!

So hopefully all on plan for another day!

TheImprobableGirl · 11/01/2017 10:34

Good start this morning with just a cup of tea, but off to Tesco to buy a pregnancy test- could scupper the diet one way or another! Grin

We've been trying but put it to the back of our minds until Christmas etc was over, just realised I should've came on a week ago give or take, just didn't think about it- we'll see in a couple of hours I guess !!

Buttwing · 11/01/2017 10:45

Maintain for me this week. I need to stop eating chocolate and forgetting about it as my body is obviously not forgetting!!!

Another aldi shopper here it saves me about £80 a week! I do have a big family and animals though. I spend about £160 a week in aldi but recently I've been doing on line Sainsburys as I've been a bit lazy but rather than spending the £240 I used to spend I've been spending £160 like I do in aldi. I hardly get anything I'm not due to shop til Friday and already my cupboards are bare!!!

Buttwing · 11/01/2017 10:54

Ooh good luck improbable how exciting! I'm so broody at the moment but dp has said a big fat no to number 5. I know he is right but it doesn't stop the broodiness!!

ALemonyPea · 11/01/2017 10:54

Well done on the losses everyone

Gym done 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼Feeling completely in control.

I usually shop at Tesco, it's around £110-120. If I shop at Aldi I spend around £80. I prefer Tesco fruit and veg though. I do like the lack of choice in Aldi, don't get myself into such a tizz, and no junk food goes into my trolley.

B: yoghurt and an orange after the gym
D: quiche, green beans and sprouts or a salad, not sure yet as I'm freezing
T: Salmon, brown rice some sort of veg

Not sure what I'm using syns on yet.

lemony you are good with quark aren't you? Have some in the fridge and am unsure whether to use it in a quiche or as a sauce with mushrooms and garlic. If I do it in a sauce will it just take the flavour of the mushrooms and garlic?

Am doing chicken breasts in parma ham and don't want to spoil them by chucking a dodgy sauce on them lol. And I got about a billionty eggs yesterday from the chooks so need to use them up.

Have done soup for today so it's more for tomorrows lunch. If I don't use the quark in the sauce I will make a normal white sauce with mushrooms which I can syn.

So much angst is caused by quark here. I want to try it but it scares me. Have bought numerous pots but always ended up eyeballing it for a week then throwing it away.

This little bastard tub won't beat me this time. #feelingdetermined.

summerblonde · 11/01/2017 11:44

Well done on the losses everyone, so motivating. Oooh improbablegirl how exciting! Let us know how you get on! X

buzibuzi · 11/01/2017 12:09

mayathebee
I cook 40g oats with water, on hob..probably 1 cup of water? I add more if necessary, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and once all cooked, take off heat stir in apple or blueberries and serve
Kids love it with teaspoon of agave or homey on top
summerblonde
that makes me feel like our spending is excessive, would you mind sharing what dinners you cook?do you buy a lot of fresh stuff? any tips? I really want to curb our overspending.

Thingymaboob · 11/01/2017 12:55

I love quark. Asda quark is so think like a cream cheese. Use it with eggs and smoked salmon

Groovester · 11/01/2017 13:10

Quick post. Just made this for lunch. It's one of my favourite soups. Delicious. Highly recommend!

www.slimmingeats.com/blog/syn-free-spicy-carrot-and-lentil-soup

Groovester · 11/01/2017 13:11

P.s. I'm scared of quark too. And cottage cheese. I fear it's a texture thing... Confused

harderandharder2breathe · 11/01/2017 13:16

WI today, week 1 done and I lost 4lbs. I had a few bad days so I'm happy with that

B alpen bars and banana
L mushy pea curry and rice
D omelette with ham and peppet

TheImprobableGirl · 11/01/2017 13:28

It's an inconclusive I'm afraid! A possibly maybe yes and a possible maybe no Grin
On the plus side, yummy homemade soup for lunch 🍜

Groovee · 11/01/2017 13:30

Aww improbable!

Sounds some good menus

Frouby · 11/01/2017 13:45

Soup looks nice Grove, might try that next week.

Mine was a bit meh today. Think I am bored of soup and need to jazz up lunchtimes again. I really wanted ham and eggs on toast but didn't want to use my b choice so early. Wish I had now.

Going to have an apple and dream of a big fat chippy lunch. Sigh.

buzibuzi · 11/01/2017 14:26

Thank you everyone I think Ill give aldi a go and report back! I wish you could order online !

I also love quark

  1. mixed in equal measures with natural yogurt to substitute mayo in coleslaw
  2. to thicken muller lights yogurts
  3. mixed with egg to make ''carbonara'' type pasta sauce
  4. on toast with salmon or ham and poached egg

on plan today
b: eggs, bacon, toast
snack pineapple
L: buckwheat with natural yogurt and dill (polish thing)
D: fish, chips, mushy peas, salad I CANT WAIT im obsessed with mushy peas!

ALemonyPea · 11/01/2017 15:57

Frouby, make a quiche, it's lovely with quark. Try make it the day before youth, give it time to firm up. Yum.
