Tinned tomatos in curry too

B banana
L potato wedges, quorn sausages and a tin of carrots and a kinder hippo (6 syns)
D mushy pea curry and rice
Snacks 2 alpen bars so far, might have crisps later when I get home from guides or I might be good and have baby bell and boiled eggs

Groovee · 10/01/2017 17:04

Well done on the losses. About to head along and see how I have done.

Groovee · 10/01/2017 17:58

Lost 3lbs x

ALemonyPea · 10/01/2017 18:20

Awesome, well done Groovey.

Frouby, I usually try one or two new things a week. I have cheese as A choice as don't really like milk. Going to lay off the bread (always the bread) and not have the same B choice every day. Usually have oats or hifi bars, occasionally apricots. What else is good to have? Half a tin of the soups listed doesn't seem like quite enough, I'm a full tin sort of girl.

Great day on plan today! Feeling really motivated as despite only being 1/3 to 1/2 on plan throughout the week (I.e. Not at all) I have lost 1/2 an inch from each thigh and each upper arm! Must mean my exercises are making a big difference and when I DO get on plan then I'll see some real weight loss hopefully.

Im considering joining a group, but it's tricky to get to- hoping you guys will motivate me! Great news on the 4lb and 3.5lb losses, and well done on your maintain alemony it most probably is hormones so please don't be too disheartened.

Pre- B Snack- Alpen bar
B- egg white omelette with ham, tomatoes and pepper
L- beef and noodle stir fry
S- satsuma
D- sausages with couscous ratatouille

Planning on cheese on toast later to mop up a couple of Healthy extras but only 6 syns for the day in sausages so quite happy with that

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 19:16

Well done in the losses!! Lemony keep up the good work, I agree your food looks amaze.

D - salmon with soy sauce, chilli and carrots. Might have an apple later on for speed.

Just made a butternut squash and sweet potato soup for lunch tomorrow. Not sure how it will taste, think the squash was on the turn Confused. I added some chilli to give it a bit of kick.

May have a Freddo later on. Rock and roll ✌️. Will take me to 9 syns.

Frouby · 10/01/2017 19:27

I only have bread once a week Lemony. Even as a B choice it affects my losses.

I either have museli or hifi as a b choice. Because as you say half a can of soup is pants. What about trying ryvita or even scan bran for a week? I occasionally have ryvita and they are nice for a change.

Do you make soup? I find if I have a lot of hm soup with loads of veg in my losses are better than if I have had salad or eggs for lunch. I do a big pan full and I get 4 massive portions out of 1 pan. I freeze it in those takeaway style tupperware boxes and microwave to reheat.

You could scrunch a couple of ryvita on top as croutons for 1/2 a b choice and save a hifi for later. And I like a bit of grated cheese on mine and loads of salt and black pepper.

It's rubbish when you don't lose what you deserve to. Makes me want to dive into a bottle of wine.

Groovee · 10/01/2017 19:36

Made pasta bolognese bake for tea. Served D's a his as he was the only one home. Left Dd and dh's in the kitchen and salad as speed! So came home and they had eaten my whole salad. The pasta bake had tomatoes, onion, mushroom and carrots. But I was looking forward to my salad!

Had a huge bowl of melon.

And the feckers have eaten the rocky road hifi bars!

ALemonyPea · 10/01/2017 19:48

Now you see, I've had lots of homemade soup lately, and I think that hasn't helped. Nothing in it that's not free, and don't have gallons of the stuff either.

I'm just so frustrated. I honestly don't think its food related other than eating chocolate for syns and more fruit than veg. Might be the sugar, my body doesn't process sugar very well, turns it straight in to lard. I have PCOS and insulin resistant clings on to those carbs.

So, to motivate myself I've measured myself, and compared it to what it was 6 months ago (wish I'd measured myself when I first started, had lost almost 2 stone at this point) and since then, I've lost 7 inches from my waist, 9 inches from my hips, 2.5 from my thighs and 4 from my boobs. That's a lot of inches!

I want 4.5 lb gone by the end of Jan, well, in the next 2 weeks, so I'm powering through.

Sorry to moan on, feel like it's all I've done lately. I used to enjoy this diet, now it's annoying me.

Alemony..... 6 stone?? That's AMAZING!

Well done to the losers! My WI in Thursday and I've resisted peeking at scales so far.

On plan:

B: Dorset Cereals Muesli (hxb), Greek yoghurt and melon.
L: chicken and brown rice salad with 1.5 syns for dressing
D: jacket potato, beans, salad, 1.5 syns for dressing.

Snack: pear.

Will have a curly wurly later with a cup of tea to finish on 9 syns

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 20:24

Lemony I agree I can't believe you've lost 6 stone! That's takes an unbelievable amount of commitment and willpower. It's inspirational. And I don't mean that on a cheesy way, it actually is!

Buttwing · 10/01/2017 20:29

Lemony you've lost Victoria Beckham in weightWinkGrinShock

That's truly amazing, you may have a really big loss next week

Groovee · 10/01/2017 20:36

Lemony that is amazing. Have you tried some SP days?

Frouby · 10/01/2017 20:37

Oh lemony don't apologise for moaning.

Maybe it's a problem with your health issues for your body to deal with carbs as you say. The problem with winter is we crave carbs and the sneaky fuckers are everywhere. In fruit and veg as we know which can probably cause issues if your body can't deal with them.

What about maybe doing a lower carb approach but allowing yourself some more good fats? So maybe having 2 a choices of cheese but no b choice or only 1/2 a b choice? And up the protein and green leafy veg but reduce the amount of simple carbs like pasta and also the more complex carbs like root vegetables and fruit.

I know thats a bit complicated and sw is supposed to be simple but you have done so frigging well it would be a shame to give up with it now. Maybe try it until the end of January and see how it goes? The extra fat should keep you fuller for longer and replace some of the 'sugar' calories you would have been having with carbs.

BasinHaircut · 10/01/2017 20:55

lemony do you need to lose that 4.5lbs by end of Jan for your OP or is that you just wanting to? Maybe it's the pressure of that deadline? If it's just your own deadline maybe cut yourself some slack! You've lost 6 stones!!!!!!

I know this sounds crazy too but how about a few days off plan to shock your system?

ALemonyPea · 10/01/2017 20:59

Thanks, but I've not lost it yet, need the 4.5lb to get my 6 stone weight loss. The op has been agreed, I have my appointment with the anaesthetic nurse end of January, so would like it by then.

Definitely cutting out on the higher carb stuff Frouby. Didn't think of root veg as carby but it makes sense. Will cut back on the pasta potatoes and rice, only have it once a day as it is, and the. It's not a huge portion. My body is fighting against the weight loss, it will not win.

Pretty sure I should have been a hedgehog, hibernating in the winter and storing fat for it.

PositiveAttitude · 10/01/2017 21:06

Happy bunny here. 3.5lb down tonight. Into the next stone bracket and now only 1.5lb to my next mini target. Grin

Lemony sorry you are feeling so frustrated. In December I had 2 weeks when I put on, Sts and was totally fed up with it. I am sure it was you that encouraged me to keep going. I have done nothing different since then, but even over Christmas week I lost 1.5lb, so just keep going. You know it works and you have done so well. I am sure that your body will make up for it in the coming weeks.

mayathebee · 10/01/2017 21:12

Wow Lemony, 6 stone is amazing! I hope you get the lose you deserve next week.

Congratulations on all the great weigh ins today. I have lost 4lb which is fab for my first week, I'm really pleased. Now I just need to stick with it.

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 21:41

Well done PA and May - both amazing losses. Smile

buzibuzi · 10/01/2017 21:45

Lemony I feel your pain!,
especially when you have been on plan
Buttwing does she really only weigh 6 st Thats such a funny way to put it PMSL
I'm really scared of weighing myself this week I had a peek in sunday and I didnt lose anything! But it was that time of the month so perhaps it was afected by it?
ok today
b: awesome 'apple pie' porridge 40g oats cooked mixed with chopped apple and cinnamon LUSH
l: spinach pasta he a for cheese
s: skinny cappucino muller light (asda didnt deliver these tonight, are they discontinued already?)
d: jacket potato with beans and salad, no cheese but I didnt mind
s:fruit salad

Guys where do you shop? I always plan our meals and we never waste food , if by accident i cook too much we will have it for lunch next day
this weeks asda food shop (just food, no cleaning, toiletries, nappies stc food only) has cost me 120£ there is 2 adults 10yo that eats adult portions and 2yo Is that in line with what you spend? it seems a lot

I cook SW meals only Im not prepared to cook different meals I see no point in that- at weekends ill prepare kids lunch that may be different from mine but essentially dinners are SW
Im planning to go to aldi next week because I heard on FB thats much more cost effective but it will be a pain having to drive there and im used to convenience of on line ordering

btw. we got move date! yeyyy

mayathebee · 10/01/2017 21:56

Hooray for move date Buzi. The apple and cinnamon porridge sounds lovely. How do you cook your porridge? Do you (or anyone else) make it in the microwave? I used to eat the sugar laden oatso simple sachets but I've never made 'normal' porridge in the microwave and fancy having it a go. How much milk do you use for 40g of oats and do you stick or apple in at the same time? Can you use frozen fruits? How long does it need?

Buttwing · 10/01/2017 22:15

Buzi in all honesty I'm not 100% sure but it can't be much more!!

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 22:24

We spend about £80 per week with 3 adults and 1 DD. Usually a mix and match of food, cleaning products and toiletries depending on what we need. I order online from Sainsbury's. Probably spend another £20 on bits in the week, bread, milk, cat food etc.

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 22:33

I do nearly had a wobble then.

There is some delicious tuna pasta left over from DD and DP dinner (a real comfort pasta bake with lots of melted cheese).

I've just had last one of my 15 syns on a Freddo 5 syns and a packet of sunbites 6 syns. I was really tempted to have a bowl or eat more chocolate but I've brushed my teeth and come to bed.

These are the times I need will power - but it's so hard sometimes! CakeWine
