Well done Faith!

breadandcircuses · 09/01/2017 22:47

Well done Faith ! Some delicious looking food on this thread today, I am very proud of my totally on plan day with no wine (we will gloss over the weekend which was, erm, not so good).

I find it much easier when DH is away with work as I am unlikely to have wine on my own and can eat exactly what I like! Tonight was spicy prawn chow mein.

Tomorrow and the rest of the week frankly will be trickier as it's my daughters birthday. She will be 20! But has significant special needs and really won't understand if I don't eat her celebratory food (Dominos and a meal out on Friday). So I'm just going to make good choices the rest of the time and try to minimise the damage!

Hope everyone has a happy Tuesday.

QueenofLouisiana · 09/01/2017 23:17

2 3/4lb this week. Quite pleased as I had a buffet lunch on Saturday (syns disaster) and wasn't much better on Sunday,

Thanks for the first week everyone. I've found lots of help on this board.

alibongo5 · 09/01/2017 23:40

WI tomorrow. Pretty good week.....up until the weekend when it all went tits up! Spent the weekend with my sister and there was much food and booze partaken! We'll see what the damage is tomorrow. Today has been totally on plan (too little, too late methinks!) Tomorrow I'm planning on an SP day or whatever they're called. You know know free, only S and P stuff.

alibongo5 · 09/01/2017 23:40

No free, not know free!!

Groovee · 10/01/2017 06:40

Weigh in tonight. Working this afternoon, so will prep tea for tonight and do a nice brunch to get me through the afternoon.

Groovester · 10/01/2017 07:17

Well done on the losses everyone. Have a great day!

OwlinaTree · 10/01/2017 09:02

Yes £3 is quite a lot for a meal from Iceland but a lot cheaper than a takeaway!

LavenderRains · 10/01/2017 09:33

owl tastes nothing like a takeaway tho! Grin better off making your own or using 6-9 syns on chicken and mushroom or chicken in oyster sauce with boid rice from chinese.

Groovee · 10/01/2017 11:11

Working in an hour. So turkey rashers with beans and SW chips with mushrooms and spinach for speed. Hoping it keeps me full til home time x

BasinHaircut · 10/01/2017 11:43

Looks good Groovee

I need to get SW chips on the menu soon.

Anyone got an airfryer/actifry? Is it worth it for chips? I know if would make them synned with the oils but only a few syns?

emwithme · 10/01/2017 12:20

I bloody luffs my actifry. It is the BEST THING ever. I use oil (1/2 tbsp for 750 grams of potato aka two fat bastard portions) so it works out at 1.5 syns for chips that taste like proper chips used to taste. (I got mine for £99 from Groupon)

Well I managed to stay on plan yesterday and am hoping for the same today, having an SP day.

B: Porridge and berries
L: Carrot & coriander soup, Iceland meatballs x 4, apple, pear, satsuma
D: Salmon fillet, roasted mushrooms, peppers, onion, courgette
HEA: Milk
HEB: Porridge, hifi bars
Syns: Extra milk (as I've had porridge and my usual vat of tea!)

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 10/01/2017 12:23

Just back from my first weeks weigh in and I've lost 4lbs so I'm really pleased with that Grin

Bought some hifi bars to try and the fakeaway book too, just hope I can keep the losses going as someone I was talking to said that the second week is usually harder than the first and lots of people don't lose anything that week?!?

dannyglick · 10/01/2017 12:29

I use Frylight in the Actifry instead of oil, so the chips are free.

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 13:30

Well done dave that's brilliant.

Yeah that seemed to happen to me. I lost 5lb in my first week and the 1lb on my second week, everyone is different though. So keep positive. Well done! bask in the glory of a 4lb weight loss this week. Smile

summerblonde · 10/01/2017 13:34

So far today....Day 15. 6lb loss so far.

BasinHaircut · 10/01/2017 14:16

Buttwing · 10/01/2017 14:37

Basin-left over butt casserole does not sound the most appetisingWinkGrin I'm glad you liked it!

After a rubbish day yesterday where I ate a ridiculous amount of chocolate I've had a good day so far.

L-chicken and bacon salad
D-chicken, baked potato and veg

BasinHaircut · 10/01/2017 14:42

Was bloody gorgeous butt, I ended up using breast and cooking in the slow cooker instead of oven though due to shopping balls up and chaotic day!

I'm also really enjoying the app today. Is making life so much easier!

buzibuzi · 10/01/2017 15:05

Checking in quickly before I leave to get DS from school
Have been on plan had 9 syns (1/2 avocado in salad and hi fi for pudding)
today is going well so far also altho im feeling stressed fancy chocolates as have been waiting for this frustating woman to let me know when our new house will be finished, she was supposed to let us know yesterday, following her meeting but no..i waited all afternoon checking my phone and email every 5 minutes no phone-call, doesnt answer her phone, doesnt respond to emails
I'm not happy just left in the limbo, landlord, school, new school applications and moving company waiting for me....
so yes deffo in snacking mood im trying to keep myself busy Confused God help me

ALemonyPea · 10/01/2017 15:51

Half a bastard lb on. Honestly don't know what the bells going on. Don't think it's food related, possibly hormonal. Plodding on though as don't want to give up.

I have PCOS which makes my body cling on to every last sugary carb, so going to cut back on all sweet things, no chocolate for me.

Got an appointment today for my anaesthetic appointment for the end of the month and I want my 6 stone award for then. 4.5lbs to get there. Hoping the gym will give me a boost.

Well done on everyone's losses, it's great when you have a loss.

B: 2 hifi bars and a satsuma at group
D: quiche and salad
T: pasta bolognese, or maybe bolognese with potatoes as have some left over from last night
S: pufts 3.5, salad cream 1.5, 0.5 quark in quiche so 5.5 so far, might have another packet of pufts later

OP posts:
harderandharder2breathe · 10/01/2017 16:45

Mushy pea curry is on the menu for tonight, bunged in bits of leftover fresh veg, mushy peas, kidney beans, and quorn pieces. I don't even like mushy peas! When I had it made for me it included mushrooms and celery but I don't like mushrooms and I can't be arsed faffing around with celery.

Weigh in tomorrow, so of course I've been hungry all day but I am resisting because I've been shit enough this week already

Frouby · 10/01/2017 16:45

Ah Lemony I feel your pain. It's so frustrating and your food plans always look fabulous.

Maybe try to completly swap your food around? So new recipes, new a and b choices and new syns. Might confuse your metabolism a bit. Enough to drop a little. You might have flat lined a little but you have done so well. Don't get down about it. Maybe tell yourself you are happy with maintaining until after your op. Am sure that will help a little anyway.

Well done on the losses everyone. My wi tomorrow.

My December gain of 9lb has obviously been flagged up by my consultant. For the first time since I joined back in may she has sent me a keep going! txt lol.

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Hm veg soup with a smidge of grated cheese on top. Really makes it a treat rather than a chore.
T. Shepherds pie, fuckton of veg.

Syns in pie for gravy and butter in mash, not many though. Probably 2. B choice will be hifi or museili and ff yog and fruit. A choice in coffees. Might have a bit of dark chocolate later.
