Yet another great 9-5pm day.
Had two chocolate crispy cakes (teeny ones) and a baked potato with a huge leafy salad, mozzarella and beans...

And now have been talked into having Chinese for dinner and starting tomorrow Sad this has been going on a week now- my willpower just isn't strong enough to keep saying no to dp, but WHY is he still asking?!

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 09/01/2017 17:33

TheImprobable I'm the same, had one slice of birthday, that's turned into 3 and now DP said to have a takeaway too :/

harderandharder2breathe · 09/01/2017 17:44

theImprobable I find it hard to resist temptation and I live alone! Must be so so so much harder when DH is having nice food

Can you cook him a SW Fakeaway? I've not yet tried them but have a friend who swears by them and her kids love them too. Might help convince him you won't be having rabbit food all the time.

Groovee · 09/01/2017 17:50

Oh man that was gorgeous. Everyone had clean plates. Ds had the leftovers lol!

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 18:12

Groovee - that dinner looks delicious! I would have had the leftovers!!

TheImprobableGirl · 09/01/2017 18:36

Mmmm lovely food photos groovee I won't post a photo of mine later... definitely on it tomorrow!! Hopefully putting some more oomph into my exercise classes will cancel it out

OwlinaTree · 09/01/2017 18:38

improbable Iceland do ready meals that are like takeaways. They do sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, Indian style ones too like chicken jalfrezie. They are free! I try to keep one in the freezer so I can have one when we have a takeaway. Works quite well and still has the easiness of a takeaway.

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 18:42

Dinner was coconut chicken sweet potato curry, pilau rice and a whole bag of spinach, not a fan of spinach but forced it down. Confused

5.5 syns so far today. Might have a Freddo with a cup of tea later on. Will take me to
11 syns.

Groovester · 09/01/2017 19:01

Thanks summer and that's great frouby.
I have no before photos - just selfies of my head and shoulders or hiding behind my kids.
Put a coat on today that I'd not worn in a while and it's no longer tight across my fatty fat thighs. That felt good.
Paprika pork looks good.
Another good day here thus far:

B - Melon
L - leftover mince and tatties (SW friendly)
D - A cheat's paella with chicken and prawns. Enough leftover for lunch tomorrow (back to work after 2 weeks off...)
Snacks: 2 satsumas
2 hifis later with a cuppa for hex b.

Looking forward to weigh in on Thursday as this is the first week after the holidays that I've been properly back on plan.

summer I always tend to have a biggish loss followed by a smaller one the following week. You've averaged 3lbs a week which is bloody marvellous. Keep at it!

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 19:13

Oh thank you Groovester.

The magic 5lb was my first week on plan after an epic festive binge so I knew it was a 'one off'. I'll be happy with 1-2lbs from here on out (happier with 2lbs though Smile). Just got to keep focussed and this thread massively helps. I'm sure there will be weeks I maintain and possibly gain, just have to keep the end goal in mind.

BasinHaircut · 09/01/2017 19:41

Just been to my first group. There were 48 people there getting Weighed so it went on FOREVER. No 'normal' group bit, just new members talk. Seem like a fairly normal bunch and the consultant sounded like she knows her stuff.

Didn't realise until I came out that the car park that I parked in was pay and display so was lucky not to get a parking ticket. Could have been a very expensive first night!

dannyglick · 09/01/2017 20:03

Basin, it's a shame that existing members miss out due to the new members having their talk.
My Consultant takes the new members off to sit together and goes over the plan with them for the half hour when everyone is being weighed, buying from the shop, making coffee and chatting, etc.
Then the meeting lasts for one hour, no longer, with everyone included.
The raffle is drawn at the end, then the next group come in.

BasinHaircut · 09/01/2017 20:12

That's what I thought would happen danny, I would hope it's an anomaly due to it being an extremely busy week and the fact that she was a bit late

In other news, just had butt's casserole for dinner. O. M. G. it was delicious!

BasinHaircut · 09/01/2017 20:14

FYI they are charlotte potatoes cut up, not big ones! That pic makes my dinner look massive Grin

Groovester · 09/01/2017 20:44

WE had the same last week at group, Basin - there were so many new members they took all of the consultant's attention. Hoping it will be back to normal this week.

mayathebee · 09/01/2017 20:44

I have my first weigh in tomorrow and I've been on plan all week (I think) so hoping for a nice loss to get me started. The consultant said last week that she always does a new members talk to the group the first week back after new year but it's a one off so hopefully your group will be normal next time Basin.

ALemonyPea · 09/01/2017 21:13

Improbable, you need to tell your DH that there will be no takeaways, even for him until you get into the swing of things. Hope you manage to get on it tomorrow. Enjoy your chinese.

I've only had 3 syns today. Bit too late really to eat anything else.

Groovee · 09/01/2017 21:18

I just tried the SW curry sauce. It was not to my taste.

ALemonyPea · 09/01/2017 21:24

I don't like it either. There's not many of the SW frozen stuff I do like really, are mostly too overspiced.

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 21:31

I had a look at the frozen SW meals in Iceland on Sunday and I wasn't overly impressed. £3 is quite expensive for one meal. I would prefer beans on toast to be honest. Good to have in for an emergency back up I suppose.

LavenderRains · 09/01/2017 21:48

I've said it before but when I first started sw I bought some frozen sw meals and I didn't enjoy any if them. Either really spicy so you can't taste anything or very vinegary. Like a pp said I'd rather have beans on toast.
I've enjoyed cooking from scratch and meal planning.
I ended on 10 syns today which is good for me. A curly wurly and a chocolate covered rice cake from lidl (4 syns very nice!)

FaithAgain · 09/01/2017 22:00

I'm not one for ready meals. I'm limited to my choices anyway because I don't eat wheat so I tend to batch cook and freeze stuff. I did make a chicken tikka masala I found on the SW website for NYE and it was delicious!

Well I went to WI tonight and I lost 3.5lb! (I gained 1.5lb last week so I was chuffed overall). I got my stone and a half award tonight! Wink I'm really pleased.

Groovee · 09/01/2017 22:05

Well done Faith. That's a great loss x

LavenderRains · 09/01/2017 22:10

Well done faith that's a good loss right after xmasStar

FaithAgain · 09/01/2017 22:11

Thanks Grovee! I'm sure last week was water retention thanks to AF showing up that day but still, it was a big hurdle for me because I tend to be quite bridge burney so I could be (and was with WW) very I've gained, I give up! but instead I chose to start afresh and I've turned it around.
