owlina I have a 5 year old in reception and a 3 year old who is at home with me on my days off. I work 3 days a week. He will be starting an extra session at nursery after Easter when he goes up into the pre-school. It'll just be 3 hours one morning but I'm looking forward to that as a chance to do some regular exercise!

Think I'm going to use my guest gym pass to take DS to the children's swim session this week. If he likes it I could justify joining in basis any classes I fit in are a bonus because I'm also starting to teach him to swim iyswim?

basin most of the classes at the gym I'm thinking of joining are Les Milks virtual now so they run every hour through the day which makes squeezing it in a little bit easier. Might be worth looking into that? Depending on your injury spinning is maximum burn but quite gentle on some joints.

Just had a massive breakfast.... 2 rashers bacon, 2 eggs, mushrooms and HEb toast with 2 syns butter.

Needs to last me until about 4 when I can have some homemade soup. Got to get through soft play (WITHOUT CHIPS 😱) mini gym and school run first.

Groovester · 09/01/2017 10:17

Back to school. Back to work. Back to the monotony of routine. Blue Monday indeed here...
Still on it though. Seems daft but caught sight of my reflection in a full length mirror the other day whilst in ikea and had to do a double take as I didn't recognise myself. Woo hoo!
Anyway, off to toddler gymnastics. Have a great day everyone Grin

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 10:28

Ooh Groovster it's great when you notice the changes. Makes it all worth while.

I have to weigh in a day early today, does anyone think it will make a massive difference?

Frouby · 09/01/2017 11:06

Morning all

Groove my dp took some photos of me and the dcs yesterday at the park. Even though I had my big coat on I felt happy enough when he put them on fb. 6 months ago I would have been upset.

Today has been a pita already. Dd fecked off to school 2 miles away with my car, house and yard keys. The spare car key doesn't have a battery in it so the alarm went off when I tried to use that. Was all set to go washing ponies so am pissed off I have had to stay home. Did walk ds to nursery though which he enjoyed and will be walking back up for him shortly.

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Hm soup
T. Chicken and beef fajitas. Have a load of left over roast beef from yesterday so going to wang that in the pan as well. Will do some rice and have mine as a stir fry with rice instead of wraps.

Hifi or museili later for b choice. A choice in coffees. Not sure on syns yet.

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 11:50

Weighed in early and only lost a 1lb - why do I feel disappointed?!

Groovee · 09/01/2017 12:50

Summer when were you due to weigh in?

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 13:05

Groovee - tomorrow.

Buttwing · 09/01/2017 13:11

Summer what did you lose last week?

Hi basin glad to see you back!

B- fruit and ff Greek yogurt
L-chicken pho from eat
D- I'm thinking chilli or spaghetti Bol

LavenderRains · 09/01/2017 13:13

summer don't be disappointed, have you seen what a pound of lard looks like??? That's come off your body! If you lost a pound a week for a year that's over 3 stone!!

I'm busy in and out today,
Had overnight oats for breakfast, the first time I've had them and all I can say is yuk😷
I'm sorry but it was like eating cold vomit.
D; homemade tomato and basil soup (really tasty)
T; will be chicken breasts with SW potatoes and lots of veg,

Got some new muller lights to try as I take them to work for a snack, black currant and licorice! Treacle toffee and bakewell tart.

Groovee · 09/01/2017 13:16

Just reposting

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 13:24

Thanks Lavender you're right.

Buttwing - I lost 5lb last week. Which I think is sometimes a kiss and a curse, because I think it's easy to expect big losses every week and be disappointed by the small ones. But yes. I need to get over it and look forward.

I bloody love this thread it keeps me so motivated when no one else wants to listen to me wittering on about SW all day x Smile

Buttwing · 09/01/2017 13:31

Summer that nearly half a stone in two weeks, that amazing! Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture, it would be unrealistic to expect a 5lb loss every week.

I've just eaten loads of chocolateConfused I've no idea where that came from?!
Anyway I'm just going to pretend it didn't happen!

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 13:42

You're right Buttwing - I was hoping for 2lb, I wouldn't expect to lose 5lb every week, where would be the fun in that Smile. And yes, what chocolate?! Never happened.

Thanks Groovee - I actually forwarded that on to my sisters last week so I need to practice what I preach...

Well onwards and upwards. WI is only another week way.... x I look forward to hearing about everyone's losses this week.. x

ALemonyPea · 09/01/2017 13:57

Well done on the losses everyone.

I'm always disappointed when I only lose a lb. but all those lbs count towards a bigger goal.

Back to the gym today. Wasnt as bad as I thought, just did low impact stuff as back is still twinging.

B: orange, banana, melon, yoghurt
D: quiche made with quark, salad, orange and carrot baked oat muffins
T: sausages, new potatoes, a fuckton of veg

Weighed myself this morning, and I've gained a lb. so frustrated, think my body has hit the reverse switch. Official WI tomorrow, so we shall see.

My first SW meal out today! Weatherspoons lunch after swimming, I went for steak with jacket potato and salad

icklekid · 09/01/2017 14:16

Only lost 1.5lb which was a bit disappointed with. Going to be good again this week and hope for big loss next week.

B: overnight oats and fruit
L: bacon cob with spinach and tomato
D: chicken and butternut squash curry eith rice

Syns: ketchup 1, digestive biscuit 4

Had homemade chocolate mouse yesterday so going to keep syns down rest of the week

icklekid · 09/01/2017 14:18

Moose not mouse 😂

summerblonde · 09/01/2017 14:31

alemonypea - so I'm not the only one who gets disappointed by a 1lb loss! I'm just thinking ahead to next week. Thing is I would be happy with a 1lb then because it would total half a stone weight loss.

Well done on the gym, I need to work on the exercise and yes, fingers crossed the SW scales show different! Smile

Groovee · 09/01/2017 14:34

One of my previous consultants (ours left and we had others stand in for months) brought a pound of fat to class. I was amazed how much it actually was.

OwlinaTree · 09/01/2017 14:41

Hi all, congrats on losses! I have weigh in tomorrow, havn't been since before Xmas. I'm hoping for a stay the same since before Xmas! I've been looking in the mirror trying to work out if this is going to be likely, my jeans seem to fit OK. I've been on plan all this week, and have had on plan days over the other weeks in between celebrating, so who knows?

So far today
B spinach, cheese and tomato omelette, raisin wheats.
L Gallo porcini rice and pepper, orange and apple.

Plan to have
S cottage cheese on ryvita
D salmon, spuds and veg, berries and Muller light. Maybe a freddo!

Groovee · 09/01/2017 14:42

I'm trying the Paprika Pork Recipe from the website. Substituting peppers with Mushroom as peppers trigger my reflux. I'm anxiously waiting for 4.15pm to start cooking.

BasinHaircut · 09/01/2017 15:22

Just took some 'before' pics. Going to try and take them each month to track progress.

ALemonyPea · 09/01/2017 16:57

I've made the paprika before, it's lovely. Really enjoyed it.

Starting to regret the crunches I did, my stomach is going to ache tomorrow.
