My consultant this week was talking about using syns in meals rather than using them for snacks, so I'm trying that out. Having speed for snacks instea, which is used to do, but bad habits creeping back in over the Christmas period.
Bread, Asda do lardons with no fat on, so syn free if you ever manage to get them. Part of the joy of lardons is the fat though.
Doing sticky pork stir fry tomorrow, another of my favourite, and so easy. Marinade pork/chicken/choice of meat in a tablespoon each of honey, oyster sauce and dark soy for a few hours, or overnight if you can. Cook the meat off, add whatever veg you want, add remaining sauce, and then I usually add some egg noodles as well. Delicious, serves2 and is 1.5 syns a portion, or 2.5 if you're hungry and eating it all yourself.
