northerngirl71 · 06/01/2017 17:00

Summerblonde * whoops

ALemonyPea · 06/01/2017 17:02

It's the one Butt mentioned upthread. I've never used cannellini beans, so hoping I like them. I like most beans somshould be fine.

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 17:21

Thanks northerngirl. I sure did enjoy!

Had half a fish, a handful of chips and my beloved curry sauce. DP got chip shop style and not Chinese style (one was a teeny bit disappointed!).

I don't feel massively full, so only are what i needed and didn't go back in for leftovers. So I feel a bit less guilty. Nothing else this evening... hopefully.

breadandcircuses · 06/01/2017 17:40

Summerblonde that sounds lovely and very restrained!

Must try the chicken and chorizo stew soon it sounds gorgeous!

Well I have swerved the takeaway in favour of a beef stifado I had in the freezer. A few syns as lardons are in it but much better than buying a curry! Used other syns on some Brazil nuts so none left for wine really. We shall see...

Enjoy Friday evening everyone!

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 17:50

Thanks Bread, it was nice! Restrained for now but the night isn't over yet....really need to keep up with the willpower!

rjr75 · 06/01/2017 17:53

Thanks for the code spaghettimeatballs. I havent used it as a friend has given me her books so im hoping to follow the plan at home - Iv'e been trying really hard all week and then today I ate a whole bar of green & blacks and 3 mince pies - left overs from christmas. Now currently feeling really sick Blush..... So, back on it and 1.5 stone to lose!!!

the chicken and chorizo recipe looks good - think i'l try that.

Does anyone have any breakfast recommendations? I don't eat eggs. I usually just have fruit salad with greek yog and a bit of granola sprinkled on top but its boring having it every day

Groovee · 06/01/2017 19:09

I'm allergic to eggs. Have done over night oats and yoghurt with fruit.

In the past I have had beans and mushrooms on toast, cereal from HEB, cooked brekkie without eggs.

I could do with some more egg free suggestions x

buzibuzi · 06/01/2017 19:29

Im closing off on 7 syns (1/2 avocado and 1 tablespoon of mayo in salad at lunch)
doubt will eat anything else tonight, my dinner was delicious and very filling & going to bed early my little one has been getting up at 5 recently so I need my sleep!
I had muller light skinny cappuccino yogurt for pudding ( free) it was surprisingly nice, I usually really dislike muller yogurts, its limited edition

Night ladies!

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 19:31

That looks like a very good day buzi, well done!

Groovester · 06/01/2017 19:44

Just made a curry using prawns, a bag of stir fry ready vegetables and the mayflower curry sauce. Am I right in thinking it's 4 syns for that?

BasinHaircut · 06/01/2017 20:34

Let us know how he casserole goes lemony, im having it Monday!

I won't tell you what I just had for dinner because it was so far off plan, the plan wasn't even on the horizon. But DH and I are starting on Monday so its our last few hurrahs using up the naughty food.

I'm really looking forward to starting now. Think I'm going to go to a group this time.

ALemonyPea · 06/01/2017 21:13

The casserole was amazing. Thank you Butt for bringing that into my life.

My consultant this week was talking about using syns in meals rather than using them for snacks, so I'm trying that out. Having speed for snacks instea, which is used to do, but bad habits creeping back in over the Christmas period.

Bread, Asda do lardons with no fat on, so syn free if you ever manage to get them. Part of the joy of lardons is the fat though.

Doing sticky pork stir fry tomorrow, another of my favourite, and so easy. Marinade pork/chicken/choice of meat in a tablespoon each of honey, oyster sauce and dark soy for a few hours, or overnight if you can. Cook the meat off, add whatever veg you want, add remaining sauce, and then I usually add some egg noodles as well. Delicious, serves2 and is 1.5 syns a portion, or 2.5 if you're hungry and eating it all yourself.

pinchofnom.com/recipes/syn-free-hash-brown-pizza/

Anyone tried? Think I might give it a try this week.

Buttwing · 06/01/2017 21:27

Oh thank goodness lemony! I was worried I wouldn't be able to show my face on the thread againWinkGrin

I've had a good day but I've eaten a lot but all good and loads of speed and I'm finishing the day on 11 syns.

I so glad it's Friday, I've found it so hard to get back into the routine after Christmas. I'm knackered so I'm get an early night also to stop me eating

ALemonyPea · 06/01/2017 21:31

Hehe Butt, it was very yummy, wish there was some leftover.

That looks inte sting Groovster, might have to give it a go. Love pizza.

OP posts:
Groovester · 06/01/2017 21:51

Me too. I miss it!

breadandcircuses · 06/01/2017 22:28

Lemony thanks for the lardons tip and also for the sticky pork idea, it sounds lovely!

Pizza is a big fave of mine/DH so might give that potato one a go too, so many tempting ideas! Used to make Smash pizza once upon a time but would prefer fresh spuds.

Well I resisted wine tonight so I feel good! Had a quark and options thing instead. I reckon I'm on about 13 syns so not too bad!

Already finding this thread so helpful and supportive, thanks all!

LavenderRains · 06/01/2017 22:38

lemony I use all my syns on chocolateBlush sometimes butter or dressing.
I think I would find it hard to go without my syn treats.
I seem to have eaten a lot today but all been on plan
B mullerlight yog and cup of tea
D beans on toast with cheese (hea&b)
T beef risotto with a ton of veg, all free
Also; melon, satsumas, gherkins.
Syns; hifi bars, choc options and vanilla quark

Does that sound too much? I can't seem to get back into it confidently since Xmas.

TheImprobableGirl · 07/01/2017 07:19

Thanks for that recipe groovee haven't tried it yet but thinking of giving it a go this afternoon!

buzibuzi · 07/01/2017 08:10

Ok I lied - ended up finishing pot of hummus with celery sticks, my excuse being that hummus was going to go off :o
I doubt it took me over the syns, but to be honest I didnt measure how much was in there
Also I didnt drink enough water! I keep catching myself on this !
todays plan
b:eggs, bacon, toast WATER
l: leftover curry with spinach WATER
d: steak, mash, asparagus& fine beans WATER

snacks: fruit salad, WATER, yogurt, WATER oh and i made sugar free jelly so that will be lush with berries!

We are having relaxing & quiet weekend, taking little one to park and going for walks and cosing up at home, Ill do yoga later but thats about it :)

breadandcircuses · 07/01/2017 08:56

With you on the water buzi . I used to be much better at it but have fallen out of the habit, seems much less appealing in winter.

Everyone here woken up late which is nice and looks like a lazy day here. Not sure about breakfast but might try some baked oats? Soup for lunch and chilli for tea, made it yesterday, yum.

Weighed this morning and 3.5lb off since last Sunday! I know it's just the Xmas bloat disappearing, but motivating nonetheless. Enjoy Saturday everyone!

calzone · 07/01/2017 11:05

I'm so happy being back on plan!!

I've been good all week and hoping for a reasonable loss on Monday. I just need to get through tonight....

Dh is cooking for friends and it won't be very sw ish....

JustKeepPaddling · 07/01/2017 11:14

Hello, I've recently joined slimming world and would really appreciate your help please. I am planning my dinner for tonight but can't seem to find green beans in my book somehow. Are they speed food or not?

Thingymaboob · 07/01/2017 11:37

They are super free
