My thing is sugar. I could happily never drink again and not miss it and I hate cheese!

So I've really started to think I have a problem with sugar. In fact I know I have, once I start I really can't stop. I'm thinking I need to get rid of it from my life all together. But (how sad is this!) I'm scared to do it.
I did it for three days once then fell off the wagon but I think I need to have another go.

B-tomato, mushroom and ham omelette
L- ham and salady bits
D- not sure yet maybe a curry

Groovee · 06/01/2017 11:10

Thanks for the update. Will see if my consultant has an update.

alibongo5 · 06/01/2017 11:15

+1 for the "I use all my syns on wine" club.

buzzmoon · 06/01/2017 11:28

Summer, I'd do carbonara or risotto or something, very easy to make and tasty.

OwlinaTree · 06/01/2017 11:57

Morning all. Had a terrible night with the baby, up from 3 30 till about 5 30 getting to get her to sleep. She's sleeping better in the evenings but not so well at night at the mo. I've had breakfast, omelette with mushrooms and tomatoes and raisin wheats but my tiredness is making me want toast with butter Grin.

Off to my mum's for tea tonight, will be roast I expect, so not too bad. This will be my one day off plan I think. Need to get out and have some fresh air but would rather go to bed!

Groovee · 06/01/2017 12:00

Oh Owlina, I would have a rest. Nothing worse than being up in the night.

buzibuzi · 06/01/2017 12:13

new allowance is 40g Groovee

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 12:55

Oh Owlina, I remember those night too well. Yes try and rest and know it's easier said than done! You're doing well on SW I used to always reach for sugary snacks my DD was a baby, French fancies in particular!

Thanks Buzzmoon, think I'll have a google.

Groovee · 06/01/2017 12:58

Thanks Buz. My friend has sent me the new allowances pamphlet for it all x

breadandcircuses · 06/01/2017 13:21

Good to hear I'm not alone on the takeaway and wine front! DH already making noises about a Friday curry so I will have to head him off with something tasty, possibly a chilli or homemade curry. I do all the cooking etc so am in control theoretically but also like a rest from it, hence takeaways.

Day going well so far, fat free Greek yogurt and half banana for breakfast, then Pilates class followed by other half banana in small slice bread (half HEB). Soup for lunch with ham, loads of free veg and barley in it, delicious, with a muller lemon to follow.
Now to clean the house and then do intervals on treadmill ( weather horrid outside). Also must keep repeating to self 'I do not want a takeaway or wine tonight'

ALemonyPea · 06/01/2017 13:38

I used to have takeaways at least once a week pre SW, I think I've had 3 since I started, don't really miss them that much although could easily eat a creamy curry. When I have had one I've got a bad stomach the next day.

B: bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms
D: prawn salad, 1.5 syns for salad cream, HEA cheese
S: blueberry baked oats, 1.5 syns HEB
T: chicken, chorizo and bean stew, 3 syns, can't wait!

lemony funny you should say that. We had a couple of takeaways over Xmas and my stomach complained!
I occasionally have chicken and mushroom from the chinese (ours is very tasty full of chicken) 9 syns for the whole large tub.
butt I'm with you re sugar. The bags of haribo I used to demolish is scary! I can leave alcohol but sweets is much harder.
I made some sw jellies which are ok, cures the sweet tooth for a bit.
I also have a tub of mango or melon in the fridge incase I wasn't something sweet.
summer could you not have stew too? I make a stew with oxo and it's syn free.

I am not particularly bothered by sweet stuff. My biggest vice is alcohol, usually gin and slim as it's pretty good value syn wise.

Am doing dry January tho and am missing gin more than the naice Christmas food!.

Oriana when ds was tiny dp used to bring me a cup of coffee and a danish pastry up to bed in a morning before he went to work. Then I used to get up and have toast and butter, a sandwich and a bag of crisps for lunch, a mid afternoon snack of biscuits, a late afternoon snack of cake and then my evening meal followed by pudding.

I was absolutely famished constantly. So unsurprisingly didn't lose the baby weight very quickly.

We have a takeaway once a week. But I have a tomato based curry with boiled rice, no nan bread and if we have starters I have chicken tikka or something. I am usually over my syns that day because of the gin on top but doing dry jan so should be just under tonight!

Someone mentioned up thread their soup being a bit thin. Red lentils are ace for thickening soup up and don't really alter the flavour. I always chuck about half a small cup in with mine. They don't need soaking or anything and take about 20 minutes to cook through. Think they are possibly a P choice too.

B. Coffee
L. Hm veg soup with a smidge of mature cheese grated on top. Norty but very nice and makes the soup seem very luxurious
T. Chicken sag and boiled rice.
Syns in the curry and hifi for B choice. A choice in brews and cheese for soup.

After my huge December gain I feel a little less bloated again now thank God. Really noticed the extra weight. And I have more energy again and am sleeping better. Bowels taking a bit of time to settle back down tho. Confused

buzzmoon · 06/01/2017 14:27

Anyone know how many syns in an Aldi frozen spicy bean burger? Thanks!

Groovee · 06/01/2017 15:05

Is this it?

Slimming World Support 10, rolling into 2017
buzzmoon · 06/01/2017 15:24

Yeah that's it groovee thank you so much! They're really nice, I think I can just about justify the syns!

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 16:16

Oh so my dinner plans have been cancelled this evening... so I am having fish, chips and curry sauce. To feel less guilty I am just going to share a portion with DD6.

I've been so so good for 10 days and will enjoy this treat tonight.

Rest of day.

1 wholemeal (toast), banana. Tea 1/2 syn.
Mugshot, gherkins.
Sun bites 6 a syns.

Will be straight back on plan as of tomorrow morning.

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 16:17

And thanks Lavender, I will try a stew soon.

Groovee · 06/01/2017 16:18

buzzmoon · 06/01/2017 16:32
