TIG, your day looks fine.
And the extra burger is fine: I would have two.

ALemonyPea · 05/01/2017 21:06

Sounds fine TIG. I'd maybe swap one of the two daily snacks for speed foods rather than free foods, but other than that, fine.

I have two burgers, one is just silly. Don't usually have buns though, I cover them in fried onions and mushrooms with black pepper, and HEA cheese.

One pound a week adds up to 3 stone 10 lbs in a year.

I maintained this morning. Bloody thrilled.

I did my assessment this evening. Am still alive (Positive it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but I'll still be on tenterhooks until the results come in. That's all the Management Accounting done - we start Financial Statements on Monday)
Had fish chips and curry sauce for tea. Am stuffed.

Back on plan tomorrow (for the day, then away at the weekend for a family post-Christmas Christmas shindig). Five weeks to my birthday, I'd like to be at the bottom of target by then.

Bubbles07 · 05/01/2017 22:04

Hi. Can I join you all please? I joined my local SW group this evening and have too much to lose to get to my final goal to even think about it at this stage. I've set an interim goal of 3st by 31 July (when I head off on holiday) and am feeling really motivated to finally tackle the excess weight that has plagued me for most of my adult life.

Good luck to everyone on their weight loss journeys.

TheImprobableGirl · 05/01/2017 22:05

Well thanks y'all! Two burgers ahoy for me! Well done on the losses everyone Grin great inspiration!

buzibuzi · 05/01/2017 22:07

ill eat kale on my own than Sad

breadandcircuses · 05/01/2017 22:17

Hi all, can I creep in and join you? Have just joined SW online, I followed SW a few years ago from books and lost nearly 3 stone, since then put some back on and tried every fad going (5:2, Lean in 15, clean eating, no carb). Also since then have become a runner doing regular marathons.

I've concluded SW is the only option that is compatible with fuelling loads of running and losing weight at the same time! I need to lose just over a stone. DH needs to lose more, is resistant to diets but likes SW food so good from that POV too.

Anyway been lurking ages and you all seem lovely and inspiring! I think I am going to need to check in as at the moment I can't stop drinking wine and eating Xmas chocs....not a good start. I need to draw a line but wine is my downfall sadly.

Oh and by the way I love kaleWink

Thingymaboob · 05/01/2017 22:32

Wine is my downfall also. I'm still on annual leave and my friend has just broken his wrist and first thing I said to him was "lunch time pub session?". Habit! Need to get back to work pronto.

breadandcircuses · 05/01/2017 22:37

Wine is sort of my/husband's relaxing together thing. We don't go out much as our daughter has complex needs so it's our treat (well that and takeaways). And I am weak as water if he suggests opening a bottle. Last time on SW I basically used all my syns on wine so I might have to do that again!

breadandcircuses · 05/01/2017 22:38

Did you go to the pub in the end thingymaboob?

buzzmoon · 05/01/2017 22:51

TIG, looks fine! That's why I love SW you can eat so much and still lose weight, I still don't actually know how sometimes!

Had the yummiest risotto for dinner tonight, chicken, chorizo and mushroom with salad. So tasty and easy and made enough for freezer portions too :)

icklekid · 06/01/2017 06:15

@northerngirl these fishcakes from morrisons are amazing and low syn highly recommend

SpaghettiMeatballs · 06/01/2017 06:33

breadandcircuses takeaway is a weakness here too. 4 and 2 year old means we don't go out much. Friday night Indian is our long standing 'date night'. We are going to cook something SW friendly tonight instead but in all honesty I'm going to find it hard because a takeaway also means no cooking and clearing away! It's just what I usually need after a week of partly looking after DCs and partly doing my long commute.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 06/01/2017 06:34

Thank you to the posters with advice about being disappointed with WI. I'm going to stick with it but looking forward to there being a bit of distance between start weight and now. It's always nice to feel efforts are being rewarded!

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 09:44

Ooh icklekid thanks for that. I don't know there was such thing as low slim fish cakes. Smile.

My friend is coming for tea tonight, I've got the kids a stew on in the slow cooker. What can I make for us that's SW friendly, plus quick and easy to make? Any ideas would be great?

HEA milk
HEB Wholemeal bread.

So far I've had a slice of toast. We were in a rush this morning so haven't had my usual poached eggs and I can feel it, I'm starving!

summerblonde · 06/01/2017 09:44

*low syn not low slim.

buzibuzi · 06/01/2017 09:45

red wine, cheese & crackers is my thing :o
We dont go out much either atm as we have 2 kids and no family near us to babysit so we only splurge on babysitter or ask my friend for help occasionally so it deffo feels like we deserve a treat! poor us staying in again! Wink Wink Wink
and as im main cook& cleaner I toddaly get no cleaning factor when ordering food in! :o
Next time we order ill make it sushi or something healthy but staying clear from alcochol for now, its gotten a bit of an unhealthy habbit, feeling rubbish and lazy next day, not getting any excercise and craving crap food

anyway todays plan
b: mini full english with poached eggs (he b for toast)
l: probably salad
d: chicken tikka curry with rice and saag aloo
s: fruit salad or yohurt

speak soon!

TheImprobableGirl · 06/01/2017 10:02

I really fancy that fakeaway book- I might have to sign up to slimming world for a week, buy a heap of books and hifi bars and then never go again Grin
I got a little fakeaway brochure with this months slimming world mag and it's got some really good ideas in- also good food sub should be coming at some point so got that to look forward too!

I'm trying to make one new thing every day, yesterday was overnight oats- I loved them! im allergic to one of the proteins in full fat milk/cream/some cheeses, so hoping the muller light doesn't bring on a reaction - but nothing bad so far! Today I'm going to try a hoummus (chickpeas and roasted red pepper blended?)

Anyway, plan is:
B- overnight oats with blueberries and raspberries
S- speed fruit
L- homemade leek and potato soup (already made in the fridge! A bit thin though so might have to add more potato or less stock next time)
S- hoummus and carrot sticks
D- fajita chicken with onion and peppers, couscous, chickpeas and salad leaves

Lots of tea, lots of water and starting Vicky Pattinsons workout DVD with the 2 year old Grin

Thingymaboob · 06/01/2017 10:18

Nah didn't end up going to pub.
Going to stay away from alcohol for now. It's much harder than I thought!
I ate 12 syns yesterday. Oooops. I know I can have 15 but 9 of them were me scoffing the rocky road bars on way back from meeting! Was so hungry.
Today I'm going to have
B two small bread HE covered in quark with smoked salmon and 1/4 melon
L salmon salad
D some sort of curry - got a nice chicken, carrot and lentil one in curry. Might whip up a saag aloo from curry book too.
10 mins on spin bike - building it up so I can do 30 mins a day without having a heart attack

Thingymaboob · 06/01/2017 10:47

Curry in freezer

Groovee · 06/01/2017 10:58

Question about overnight oats. The recipe says 40g of porridge oats but my book says 35g is the HEB

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 06/01/2017 10:59

Does anyone know how much the fakeaway book costs at the meetings? Might treat myself next week Grin

TheImprobableGirl · 06/01/2017 11:00

Vicky went well! Ended up doing a 15min davina too as I skipped the gorilla bits on Vicky Grin
Jogging leggings were very a bit tight though, and there was an ominous ripping sound when I donned them!

Saag aloo sounds delicious thingy and bizz might do a Saturday night curry tomorrow before dreaded inlaws trip.

TheImprobableGirl · 06/01/2017 11:01

It changed groovee its 40g now, we had a new insert for ours last time I went!
