Day 8. Stuck to plan.

HEA Milk.
HEB wholemeal bread.

So had salmon (again), rocket, tomatoes, salad cream - 1 syn.

Wholemeal bread and Princes mackerel mustard (not as nice as the korma one) for tea. 1 syn for marg.

activia, blueberries, strawberries and a banana.

I've walked 10,000 steps today.

I work full time and don't always have time to prepare from scratch when I get in on an evening. What I prepare for DD and DP is not always SW friendly. Carbonara, Pasta Bake etc. I plan on trying batch cook this weekend, looking to make a chicken curry, so SW and chippy style curry sauce. I'm craving a chippy so bad! Plus, if I carry on eating the same thing every day I'm going to fall off the wagon.

6 syns so far. Think I'm going to have a brew and a little chocolate. So will prob end on 11 ish syns.

meebles · 04/01/2017 20:57

Hello everyone, I haven't posted before but been going to SW for a while. I really need continual inspiration so thought I'd join you folks here :)

WI was today, and miraculously I lost 1/2 lb - I think it was the different clothes to be honest.

Have to share - no-one won slimmer of the week this week as no-one qualified Grin

Groovee · 04/01/2017 21:00

First day has gone ok. Was only hungry just before dinner. But as I suffer reflux, I take meds 30 minutes before my evening meal so can't snack in that time.

Breakfast: overnight oats HEB with raspberries and blueberries.

Snack: Honeydew Melon

Lunch: wafer thin turkey, cucumber, radish, pickled onion

Dinner: chicken fajita with spices 2 syns, rice, coleslaw salad (homemade) with 2syns of dressing, 30g cheese HEA

Snack: tea with 100ml of milk 2.5 syns. Natural fat free yoghurt with strawberries, blueberry and grapes.

6 glasses of waster, 2 cans of tango sugar free.

Groovee · 04/01/2017 21:02

Lol Meebles. Next week I'm sure it will be different x

AwesomeBadger · 04/01/2017 21:17

Hello everyone, Happy New Year!

Sorry I completely abandoned ship - it was so hectic over Christmas. I managed to only put on three pounds all of which are now back off so that is good news.

I wanted to say thank you to various people who recommended I try soup, pasta salad and cous cous salad for lunch. It's really helped me having something more substantial for lunch.

emwithme · 04/01/2017 21:40

I have worked out that I have been 100% on plan all year Grin

I am still not expecting a loss tomorrow morning as the cheese and cake fest from NYE is bound to make an appearance. But it is what it is.

I am now back into the swing of things and back to work, so it's my usual for brekkie and lunch (breakfast muffins and soup respectively) and then I only have to think about dinner (and we meal plan that before shopping - not only does it help SW-wise, it also helps DH who is Aspie know where he is!)

Although saying that I have my exam at college tomorrow night so it's fish and chips from the chippy afterwards and I am so looking forward to it (the chippy chips, not the assessment, I am not looking forward to that).

ALemonyPea · 04/01/2017 22:05

Ok, food successfully moved out of my view, that was after eating far too much of it Blush

summerblonde · 04/01/2017 22:36

Calzone - wow no syns that's impressive!

calzone · 04/01/2017 22:38

Well I had planned on having Oppo ice cream for 4 syns but I had a bath and fell asleep on my bed.

I just couldn't be bothered to go downstairs again!

summerblonde · 04/01/2017 23:06

Ahh fair enough Smile

alibongo5 · 04/01/2017 23:10

PostiveAttitude Yes of course. It's not very sophisticated and I'm still fine tuning it - yes, I am a sad, sad person. I'm pretty new round here so haven't a scooby how to send you a pm or file or anything though!

I've just realised I haven't had HexA or B today! And my son has taken my car out which has my whatsit thingy bars in the boot. Will have to think of something else to treat myself with!

Thingymaboob · 04/01/2017 23:23

Alibongo - have you got any cereal?

emwithme · 04/01/2017 23:26

ali no HEA and HEB at 11.25 at night screams CHEESE ON TOAST to me.

alibongo5 · 04/01/2017 23:36

Ooh Em - now you're talking!

mayathebee · 04/01/2017 23:39

Hi, can I join you all please. Had my first class yesterday and I'm feeling positive about doing this. I'm training to be a science teacher and I'm fed up feeling self-concious, especially when I'm teaching about healthy eating and exercise Sad. My main problem is snacking in the evening when I'm working. I'm going to try to cut it out but I'm hoping to get some ideas for low syn snacks and nibbles.

Thingymaboob · 05/01/2017 00:35

Yes! Cheese on toast! I just caved and had a free low fat supernoodles as only had two meals today and was hungry. Feel sick now. So obsessed with food!! Lay awake thinking of meals and food combos

LavenderRains · 05/01/2017 07:35

Hi all the newbies🙋our morning group was very busy with newbies yesterday.
Feeing more positive this morning after staying on plan yesterday.
Xmas stuff still around so I'm trying to ignore it!!

Has anyone got any ideas what I can do with this tub of quark I've bought??........

LavenderRains · 05/01/2017 07:37

And I'm definitely gonna have cheese on toast this morning before work with my Hexa&b!!

FaithAgain · 05/01/2017 07:42

Mmm love cheese on toast!

I started a new job this week. I'm pleased to say that it's not so tempting to go to the shop (have to get changed). There's sweets in the cupboard and I've refused so far! I explained I'm doing SW. Several have said they are too/are staying back this week which makes it easier to refuse. Definitely aiming for a loss on Monday after my gain this week!

PositiveAttitude · 05/01/2017 08:56

Em Good luck with the exam tonight. Remember all those variances and lines of regressions. You'll do fine. This is our last big exam - the other 3 this year are all far smaller, so I have been told. And enjoy the chips afterwards. Grin

Ali if you go to the blue line above this post - on the far right hand side it says message poster. click on that and you will be able to send me it.

Lavender I find Quark very thick and a bit urgh in my mouth (the texture), but it is filling and syn free, so what i do is:
50% Quark, 50% Fat free fromage frais, options sachet of choice,
mix together - hey presto a filling chocolate mousse. This is a regular dessert here, so quick, easy and only syns are the options choice.

I did well yesterday on the whole, but went a little off track head first into biscuits when I got home at 9pm after college and being out all day since 8.30. I went slightly over my syn allowance for yesterday, but I knew yesterday would be hard, so I dont care. Back on it all today.
Still waiting for Ddad to go into hospital. If he was an animal his owners would be prosecuted by the RSPCA. I have 2 meetings today to try and get things sorted a bit for him. (day off work today) At the end of my tether with it all. I can do no more.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 05/01/2017 09:33

It's my weigh in day and I've lost 2lb. Can I admit to being a bit disappointed? I'd be thrilled with that normally but you expect a bit more in the first week and when you've eaten so little compared to all the crap the week before for Christmas. Oh well, onwards to next week.

I'm sorry about your Dad positiveattitude. I hope you get something sorted today.

I'm supposed to be taking DS to the park later for a long walk but he's just refused to leave the house to go to library after the freezing cold school walk with DD. I can see his point if I'm honest.

Bexta147 · 05/01/2017 10:40

Hi ladies I hope you don't mind me joining you all.
I did slimming world over a year ago now and lost around a stone before I ended up leaving due to work commitments. In that time I have had my third baby 9 weeks ago and I am ready to get back to it.

My first group is going to be on Monday morning and I am going with a couple of work friends which I think will help Kew me motivated as I'm super competitive and won't want to be the one who has put on/maintained!

Had a look at my old book last night and was pleased to see that I am almost a stone lighter than I was when I started last time.

Feeling anxious this time around because I know this is it for me. I have no more excuses now. I always used he excuse that I still wanted another baby so was gonna get 'fat' again anyways, but now I've had my last I don't have that excuse any more.

I am also quite tall so I can go a stone up or down without noticing much difference or changing clothes size etc which ends up in me getting disheartened and giving up as I think what's the point when I'm no different. I know I need to get rid of this mindset and push through it if I want to see any results.

I'm not sure how much I want to lose at the moment but i think around 4-5 stone in total but I will reevaluate once I get to 3 stone and see how much more I think I want to lose.

I'm going to end here coz I'm rambling now Grin

Frouby · 05/01/2017 10:43

Morning all

I had 2 roses chocolates after tea last night as I had most of my syns left. Wtf have they done to them? They taste really odd. Was very disappointed.

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Either salad or hm soup
T. Beef stew and a fuckton of veg.

Anyone know the best way to cook kale? Bought some from aldi yesterday as it's on the super 6. Do you just treat it like spinich or does it need longer like cabbage?
