Welcome Penguin, and good to see you back Calzone.

My weight loss was very slow when I started. I had a good two weeks, then from May to July I only lost 0.5 - 1.5lb a week. For some reason, after I had a little holiday the beginning of August, my weight loss has been much faster. I think my body just realised I was doing this for real, or maybe my portion sizes got smaller, or maybe I twigged that the third speed should replace your food, not added onto it.

I have bad days, days where I want to face plant a huge gateau, but I am determined to get to goal, I'm fed up of being fat.

Positive, your weight loss is good for 4 months. The stress may have affected your weight loss. Have a cake, and hopefully your loss will show next week.

I'm nowhere near 12 Stone let alone 11......
Although the sw leader said she was surprised at my weight when I first got weighed. Although I am tall which helps deceive the eye i think!

How frustrating PA. I'm half expecting to maintain tomorrow, having been out for two meals at the weekend. I'm nowhere near 12 stone either, although I weigh in kg so I'm not sure what I am in stones, about 14.5 probably. I'm doing a rough conversion to lb when I post on here to be in line with everyone else.

I've saved 2/3 of both my HEs today so I'm off now for a bit of toasted rye bread and laughing cow extra light, I know how to live!

Hello everyone I lost 1lb this week which I'm happy enough with. Got 5lbs left to lose to get to my pre giving up lowest weight and 17lbs to target. I think because my BMI is in the healthy range (albeit on the higher side) and has been since I first started, it's a struggle to get particularly big losses. That's my excuse anyway!

Positive I sometimes maintain and lose more in the next week particularly if I'm retaining water. Hopefully you'll get the results next week to make it worthwhile.

Thanks for all your encouraging words.

I am heading off to London today again and will be eating at Yo Sushi on the way. Can anyone advise me what to choose? I have never been to one, so very unsure on syn values and the only thing I can find online appears to be from 2009, so I am concerned about it being out of date.

Well done Ninny.

Just weighed - lost 0.6kg (1.3lb), so pleased about that Smile.

Funny you should mention sushi positive
Someone at group asked about it yesterday.
They said as long as you stick to the rice and seaweed /veg roll type things they are about 2.5 syns per 150g
Dumplings etc are lots more, like 15
I've never had sushi so don't know what she was talking about reallyGrin
I had my apple crumble last night and it syned at 14 which was good as that's the only syn I had yesterday.
I was quite pleased with the sw chips although they were a bit dry. Might try sweet potato ones.

Sushi coincidence here too. I looked up the supermarket ones yesterday, 2 syns for the 150 g packs of fish/rice ones, which are quite substantial (and very nice). I have these for supermarket lunch instead of a sandwich now. So yes, avoid fried things and pastry, go very easy on any sweet chilli sauce etc and you should be ok.

Xmas, we are not overweight, we're just undertall 😉

Lavender if you can afford it, an air fryer is a must. I make chips, sweet potato chips, jacket and roast potatoes in mine. They're lovely.

Made this for breakfast this morning. Absolutely delicious. Would recommend it.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 20/10/2016 09:49

I've only tried SW chips once so far, they were very hard, but tasted ok. No space for an air fryer here though. We aren't big potato eaters in our house in any case, only have them about once a fortnight if that.

Hi all, could I pick your brains please?

Since starting on Tuesday I feel as though I have been eating loads! Obviously it is all good stuff but I have found I am really sluggish, more tired than normal and legs feel heavy. Is that normal? When will it go?

Also, I have one cup of coffee a day with a tbsp. of milk. Where do I include it??

Thankyou!

Report
dannyglick · 20/10/2016 13:56

HWF, a dash of milk in a cup of tea or coffee is half a syn.
Don't know about the sluggishness and heavy legs: that's just how I feel when my period is due ("star week" in SW lingo).
Might be just time of the month coincidence and not diet-related?

LavenderRains · 20/10/2016 16:00

HWF I'm on week 3. I felt awful for the first 3 days, I had a thumping headache and felt hungover. I was told this was withdrawal symptoms. I ate so much chocolate my body was probably in shock! I feel much better now.
lemony is everything cooked in the actifry syn free? How much oil does it use?

Report
ALemonyPea · 20/10/2016 16:08

I use frylight, but you can use a small measure of oil and syn it. I do it occasionally.
