I use quark to make a chocolate mousse. dead simple. Quark, fat free fromage frais, little sweetener, options sachet of choice (favourite for this is white chocolate.) Mix and eat. Great to have with some speed fruit for a yummy filling dessert and I dont feel as if I have missed out on anything.

Oh yes, chocolate mousse is a good one with quark. I see mint chocolate options, yum!myou can even make a faux cheesecake with a hifi bar as the base.

I've struggled to stay on track today, but I've managed it somehow. Went to a wrapathon at the local police station, helped wrap some of the 3000 presents donated for underprivileged children. Mince pies, chocolates, crisps and baked goodies being passed around by police officers in Santa hats every 5 minutes. Didn't have anything.

Then went to my Nana's and she was offering chocolates every 5 minutes as well. Had to have one so she wouldn't get upset. 2 syns for strawberry cream.

DH did bring me a naked burrito home though, so all is good.

Having fajitas for tea, using lettuce leaves instead of wraps for myself, everything else will be free.

You have been very restrained lemony Halo DH went to the shop last night and I asked him to get me a tub if fresh mango and some clementines. He said what happened to the "buy me loads of chocolate" person I used to live with Grin
had a good day yesterday
B poached eggs on toast
D yogurt and grapes
T homemade chicken stew (bloody lovely )
2 hifi bars as syns

What is a naked Burrito? I had Chinese takeaway last night and although I sneaked a couple of crispy chicken wings I had boiled rather than fried rice and chicken with cashew nuts, no sweet and sour, no orawn crackers. Also stood next to a plate of mince pies for an hour match without eating one.

On Friday night we went out and I decided to dig out an old pair of black jeans. I last wore them this time last year when I remember them being cripplingly uncomfy to sit down in. Put them on and they were all loose and baggy! So pleased.

Quark is a good cheese substitute for cooking. I've used it instead of cream cheese in banoffee pie. I use it with chicken wrapped in bacon (yummy). It's not great on its own e.g. On crackers but it's useful.

Yesterday was challenging. We had tickets for a special showing Star Wars which included a bag with popcorn and share bag of chocolate! I had half the popcorn (then gave it to DH!) and resisted the chocolate. Then we had dinner at the ultimate burger co (yum). I hardly had any bread and only had a few chips (restraint!). Hoping the 2 mile run I did in the morning will be enough to offset the indulgence?! I really want my club 10 on Wednesday and I need a 2lb loss for that.

Lemony that was very restrained and what a kind thing to do, wrapping the gifts Smile

A naked burrito is just a burrito minus the wrap, but as long as you get no sour cream or cheese, no nothing in oil it's all free. Bloody lovely it is. Certainly fills you up.

Is anyone else's group having a Christmas party this week? No idea what to take it for mine. Want to do something festive.

Buttwing · 18/12/2016 20:44

Lemony-mine is but I can't stay. Off topic but did you get a hatchimal?! They are going on eBay for less than in the shops now too many greedy people have put them on and now they are not fetching the moneyGrin

Haha no I managed to persuade DS2 that they were crap and he now wants a furby, which I managed to get straight away, stress free. I don't think I could have coped with trying to find one. I wouldn't have resorted to getting one off EBay, hope all those sellers are well out of pocket, bunch of idiots.

Well I've had a really good week until this evening, we went to harvester and I had ribs and chips! Was delicious!

Was going for 1.5lb off this week, will have to be good the next two days and keep fingers crossed...

Oh that's good lemony! Dd was adamant she wanted one so I got one a while ago. Last night she told me she had changed her mind and wanted a furby fan-fucking-tastic!!!!

ALemonyPea · 18/12/2016 21:16

Oh no! Are you able to swap?

Report
Buttwing · 18/12/2016 21:21

Possibly I'm going to look into it, she will probably change her mind again tomorrow!

You could try local FB selling pages. It'll get snapped up if you're just wanting what you paid.

Report
Buttwing · 18/12/2016 21:24

That's a good idea I definitely would only want what I paid for it. I need to sit down with her tomorrow and get her to make a final decision (or as final as a six year old can be!)

Yes, we're doing a taster this week. If I have the oomph on Thursday morning, I shall be making fruity santas (grape, slice of banana, strawberry - optional mini marshmallow on top - on a cocktail stick). If I don't, I will take some M&S mini lemon meringues.

I am not going to be at the bottom of my target for Christmas. This week has just been chocolate after chocolate after chocolate (and then some ice cream at the cinema watching Rogue One) and I've got pie tomorrow because it looked delicious in the shop. I did SP today, and will do it again on Tuesday and Wednesday to try and claw things back though!

I bought lidl mini mince pies...cos I have so little time this week that I'm struggling to fit in sleep, never mind making stuff.

They're only 3.5 Syns though.

I can't stay to our party as I have to work so will have to go to the 9.30 meeting for a quick weigh in on my way to work.
Had a lovely roast dinner. SW roast potatoes, pork, carrots and sprouts.
And 7 syns for 25g of crackling. Worth every syn!
Those santa grapes are very cute!

Report
ALemonyPea · 19/12/2016 13:52

Oooo crackling. Love the stuff.

I've had a horrible cough for the last two weeks, really doing my nut in now. Was hoping it would be gone by Christmas, but not looking good.

Also thank you em
I bought the M&S mini lemon meringues today. Yum!! I was restrained and only ate one. Also bought some mikado. Hoping that by having sensible sweet treats in for Christmas, that I won't stray too far from the path. I can hope, anyway..
