Half a lb off for me, half a stinking lb. I am so upset abutnit all. Why is my weight not doing anything? It just seems to have stopped. I tohught I'd have at least lost the two I gained last week.

Buttwing · 13/12/2016 13:03

Oh lemony its crap when that happens. No advice really it's happened to me a few time s and I've found it hard not to fall snout first into a bar of chocolate.
Sunshine welcome that's a fab weightloss.
Badger try not to feel down when you weigh, just think you will never weigh that weight again cliche alert!

I had a peek on the scales this morning and despite a good week they have not moved as much as I would like, maybe miraculous things will happen overnight?!

B-banana
L- baked potato, beans, ham and salad
D- not sure maybe steak and salad

Buttwing · 13/12/2016 13:04

Oh and lavender I think a pint of blood must weigh at least a poundGrin

sandy70 · 13/12/2016 13:16

Good luck to everyone xxxWink

alibongo5 · 13/12/2016 13:31

Got WI tonight. Not feeling at all confident - two lots of eating/drinking out plus a beer advent calendar (shared with husband so not quite so bad). Just hope I haven't gained too much!

Frouby · 13/12/2016 14:11

Hello all

Not logging anything as I am off plan atm. Not completely losing it just yet but definitely not food optimising. Using christmas and a spate of birthdays as my excuse. Plus really cut down on food shopping the last 2 weeks so I can stuff the fridge/cupboard with lots of yummy Christmas food.

Got to wi tomorrow. It won't be pretty. But am fully prepared for a gain. Then am putting 2 holiday weeks in.

I must admit I feel a bit crappy with all the crap foods I have eaten. Tired and bloated and meh. A bit of indigestion and (tmi) my bowels aren't happy.

Will be doing a bit better the next few days just to avpid feeling rubbish I think.

ALemonyPea · 13/12/2016 18:12

I've had a good day considering I was so upset this morning. Not giving up, I want to lose as much as possible by next Tuesday, well by next Friday really, then I can relax for Christmas.

Finished my Christmas shopping as well. Woohoo! Just food to buy and that's it.

OwlinaTree · 13/12/2016 20:04

Hi all, a good week for me, lost 2lb! Very pleased as I had stuck to it except Sunday, so pleased it paid off!

Now I'm thinking I could get my next half stone before Xmas, only need to lose 1.5lb next week. That's quite a bit, but doable. I've not really got much on this week which involves eating so who knows?

OwlinaTree · 13/12/2016 20:05

Sorry it was not so good this week lemony. It's so hard to stick to when it's not going well. Do you think you can have a good week this week?

PositiveAttitude · 13/12/2016 21:09

Bugger Bugger Bugger!!!!! What the bloody hell is going wrong with me? Another week where I have stuck to plan. Not gone off for any meal, not gone over syns any day and all I have done is to lose the 0.5lb that I didnt deserve to put on last week. So pissed off with it now. Been doing it for 6 months and this is my first real brick wall. What can I do to get it moving again? Even more annoyed because so many in group tonight lost and then sat and said "oh, I went out for a Christmas meal......drank too much" I haven't been out (going out for my one meal off plan on Thursday, every other meal this month I plan to have on plan) I have not drunk alcohol (offered to drive on Thursday so I wont be tempted) and all do is put on and then just take that off again. Half of me knows I need to just stick at this and hopefully it will start moving again. The other half thinks sod it all, I may as well eat chocolate, cake, mince pies, cheese, pate and everything else. Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

ALemonyPea · 13/12/2016 21:18

You and me both PA. I've been beating myself up all day, luckily stuck to plan, but could easily have eaten all the chocolate I have in, and the Christmas cake I got given at the weekend.

I'm just hoping that once Christmas is over, and I'm no longer ill I'll be back to losing some decent amounts as 0.5lbs a week is just not cutting it.

Owlina, I've not been off plan, I've been fine on it, onthe reson behind my loss just doesn't add up. Apart from being ill, I've not really lossed my appetite. It's so bloody annoying.

Buttwing · 13/12/2016 21:22

Pa and lemony could you do the scan bran challenge next week? I did it once I could have shat through the eye of a needle but I lost 4lbs!

ALemonyPea · 13/12/2016 21:28

Haha Butt. I did the scan bran challenge last month and it made not one jot of a difference, only lost a lb that week irc.

PositiveAttitude · 13/12/2016 21:42

Lemony I'm glad I am not the only one that is struggling, but sorry that you feel the same as me. Tonight the consultant said so many times to other people things like "stick to plan and you WILL lose" and those sort of things..... I felt like screaming at her. Although she was really sympathetic when she got to me. The first time I did scan bran challenge I lost 4lb, but since then I do tend to have a few days each week of having wheatbran or scan bran as my HE b, which is supposed to help keep a steady weightloss. DD has suggested not using it at all this week as perhaps my body has got too used to it. I just dont know what more I can do, other than starve myself, which is certainly not sustainable and not the SW way.
I hope you feel better soon Lemony, anyway. Lets hold hands and get through this.

AwesomeBadger · 13/12/2016 22:01

Sorry to hear you're unhappy with your losses Lemony and PA, it must be so frustrating. I did recently read though that after a period of weight loss the body plateaus for a few weeks as it adjusts to its new normal and then starts to drop off again. Hope that will be the.case for both of you.

Glad you had a good week Owl

Hi Frouby I'm new but have been lurking for a while and seen some of your messages. Sorry to hear you and your family are having such a tough time at the moment. It's no wonder you've been a bit off plan - just keeping on going at the moment is amazing in itself and you have far more urgent things to be thinking about at the moment.

Hello Sandy and congrats on your loss so far.

I went to my first meeting today and blimey you weren't wrong about all the clapping! I weigh pretty much what I thought, which is horrible but at least not a surprise. Not quite sure how I feel about the group (it was much bigger than was entirely comfortable, but will persevere for now and see how it goes once I start to get to know some people.

LavenderRains · 13/12/2016 22:16

badger the groups are cheesy! I had the giggles at my first one as u felt like I was living a parallel universeConfused
I now try the afternoon group which is much quieter.
PA and Lemony I felt the same as you when I stuck strictly to plan and only lost half a pound. But the week after, same foods, I lost 5.5lb makes no sense!
Not expecting much tomorrow as have eaten out but had jackets instead of chips. I hope you're right about the blood butt

AwesomeBadger · 13/12/2016 22:34

Lavender definitely cheesy!

OwlinaTree · 13/12/2016 22:55

It's so frustrating when you stick to it and don't lose. I've had a couple of weeks when I've had only 0.5lb loss (like last week) and it's taken all my will power to stick to it the next week. Often I've had a good loss the following week. The only thing I can suggest is to up the speed?

Frouby · 14/12/2016 09:25

Hello all

Thanks AwesomeBadger. It's been a tougg couple of months. We did think all the poorlies were getting better. BIL with heart attack is home and recovering slowly. It's a blessing he is even here tbh. Sister with thyroid cancer has her radiotherapy treatment first week in January. And mum has her angiogram next week. BIL with MS has the progressive version so it's going to be difficult for them. He also has some issues with his blood clotting function which requires some further investigations. But no one is critical right now which is good news.

Just been for my first wi after nearly 3 weeks off plan. 1/2 lb on which I will grab with both hands lol. I deserved about 3 on I think.

Now booked holidays in until the new year. Going to be sensible but really relax over Christmas. Then start afresh in.January.

Bizarrely I feel in control about it all. I know the plan works and I know I can follow it. So know whatever goes on will come off during January.

I then have 8 months to get to target as we have a big holiday booked in August and the family we are going with are skinny minnies and I am determined to not.feel uncomfortable round the pool.

Lemony and PA hugs. It's really difficult when you are sticking to plan but not getting losses. I think this time of year our metabolism slows down a little to compensate for the winter coming. In days gone.past we would need fat reserves to get us through winter.

Maybe have a little break from it all for a couple of weeks. Put a line under it and start again in January. I know when I have come back from a break the losses speed up. And I lose more than what I would have for a good month iyswim.

Buttwing · 14/12/2016 09:41

Morning all, I've just been to group and the scales where broken, they showed everyone had lost huge amounts of weight I lost 6.5lbs!! But I didn't I lost about 1.5lbs. One of those things I suppose just a bit annoying. I didn't stay because I've got someone coming to fix my fire, I'm out for lunch today with dp which I'm looking forward to.

ALemonyPea · 14/12/2016 11:34

Thanks everyone for your support. I'm doing this until Christmas Eve, then having a few days off, and have taken a week holiday between Christmas and new year.

Frouby, I think you've done amazingly well dieting and having to deal with all of that. You're amazing.

What's happening wrt to WI then Butt? Do you have to discount the losses for this week?

alibongo5 · 14/12/2016 15:34

Well I was quite content with maintaining this week. Hoping to lose a couple of pounds if I can before next WI on Tuesday.

As far as the clapping etc at the groups, I keep feeling I'm in a sitcom! I must rewatch the Little Britain sketches!

LavenderRains · 14/12/2016 17:04

2.5lb loss for me today, maybe giving blood does help!! Or maybe the countless jacket potatoes instead of chips works.
I got my 2.5stone certificate and shiny stickerHmm Took me 11 weeks to reach this target. I'm thinking maybe 2 more stone might be doable.
Been really naughty today. Went to wetherspoons with a friend. I had;
Chicken breast and ribs
jacket potato
onion rings
coleslaw
elli's salted caramel cheesecake
Goodness knows how many syns???

Buttwing · 14/12/2016 17:34

Ha ha lav told you it wouldWink
Lemony I suppose we just ignore it, I didn't stay so I'm sure what she would suggest but her figures are going to rubbish next week!

Bad bad day today, we went for tapas at lunch had too much bread and gorgeous food probably with about half a pint of olive oil!
