Like you, Molly, I've saved my syns for GBBO!

Lemony - I just walk! I have a fitbit and set my target for 10,000 steps a day, which I do most days...planning on starting my Charlotte Crosby DVD again soon though...

I've just got a Fitbit flex and aim for 10,000 steps a day. I can't fit much more exercise in at the moment.

chough · 07/09/2016 20:30

Lemony, I like dog walking for my body magic, and have also started going swimming recently, 2 or 3 times a week: I go early in the morning, with the other old 'uns ( it's like "Cocoon" in the pool).

MollyRedskirts · 07/09/2016 21:45

I don't drive and I walk everywhere. That's it really. My energy levels are getting better, so I'm considering going to an exercise class run by my local children's centre as they have a creche, and DS2 is only a baby.

I am using my syns on a decadent hot chocolate, with marshmallows and a freddo to dip in. So worth it!

I'll be running out tomorrow to get that sauce, I bloody love it (and sriracha). Never thought to check the syns as I assumed it would be high.

froubylou · 07/09/2016 21:53

Hmmph

Just got back home from family meal out for mums birthday.

If you haven't ever been to Cosmos then probably don't bother. It's really not worth the syns. I did fairly well I think. Had duck and 2 pancakes with loads of cucumber and spring onion and a blob of hoisin sauce. Vegatable pasta and salad for my main. Really fancied something sweet after so thought the delicious looking pavlova would be the best option.

It was bloody rank. That fake synthetic cream. BleurgH. Only had a few spoonfuls and had some melon instead.

So probably ok syn wise but only just. I wouldn't go again. Plenty of choices but all of it just average. I wish I had chosen the sushi now. Sigh. Hate it when you make the wrong food choice!

noodlezoodle · 07/09/2016 23:21

Lemony, I do spinning. I absolutely love it - because it's a class I definitely work harder than if I was doing it on my own, and it's dark so no one can see me going the colour of an alarmed beetroot. I try and go 3 times a week if I can and it definitely makes me feel fitter. I also try and get in 10,000 steps a day but I rarely manage it unless I'm spending the day tramping around town shopping, which always seems to do the trick!

maygirl · 07/09/2016 23:32

Ooo our Cosmo is really good, not dared go since started my SW 'journey'! I always went for the tandoori oven meats and the bit where they cook your choice of fish and sea food fresh in front of you. Never had room for pudd after several plates dinner!

I love that hot sauce, there was a chicken recipe in a SW mag a while back using it. Will dig out tomorrow, it was amazing.

B heB baked apple with yogurt heA milk in coffee

L salad using Mexican chicken leftovers from last night, brown rice 4.5 syns avocado and loads salad veggies

D salmon with brocolli, mushrooms, samphire, noodles, sweet chilli sauce 2 syns
Boot camp then SW
Stayed the same at weigh in.
Had some low alc wine during gbbo, first time watching this season .
I love my exercise, especially spinning classes, body pump and hiit training. Also do dance lessons and some running. Just entered a 10k. My new job is quite active too so hopefully will up the step count, but less proper daily walking as can no longer walk DC to school Sad

justamo · 08/09/2016 07:59

Hellooooo. I was posting earlier in the year and drifted off. I've just had a quick scan and see some names I recognise. Well done for keeping with it and especially those who've got to target. Fab stuff!

I've decided that I'm going to rejoin today. I 'only' want to lose a stone, would be happy with a half but I just can't shift it. I'm going to sign up for a 6 week countdown give it a good go and see what happens. Having said that, this weekend involves cake and alcohol so I may be joining a week too soon.

I'll try and stay on the thread this time and be honest so feel free to beat me with a stick. I need tough love.

BasinHaircut · 08/09/2016 08:09

Welcome back just, I'm a recent returnee too. I don't want to lose much either, but we are TTC and want all of the healthy habits instilled in me before it happens, plus try and get down to 11st - where I got to before it all went to pot in March!

Today's plan:
B - berries, banana and yoghurt (6syns)
L - spicy chicken wrap (HEXB) with salad
D - spag Bol with Parmesan (HEXA)

Not sure about rest of syns yet. Will wait and see what I feel like later.

Quick question for all of the long timers - does anyone ever save HEXB's and maybe have 2 in a day but none the day before/next day? I know strictly if I had extra it should count as syns but I'm finding it difficult to fit HEXB's in on days I don't have cereal so wondered if this approach might be ok? Also, today id much rather have 2 wraps, or 2 proper slices of toast etc so 2 HEXB's would be nice. As long as I dot. Go over 7 per week in theory should that be ok?

Bibs2014 · 08/09/2016 08:43

I'm a returner too . I just keep yo-yoing the same half a stone! I need to be beaten with a big stick too...

I only need to lose a stone so why is it so bloody hard?!

Menu

Hex A and a bit of Hex B on cereal with skimmed milk
Chicken salad for lunch - may bulk out with a small bit of rice
Pasta in tomato sauce with salad.
Yoghurt and fruit

BasinHaircut · 08/09/2016 09:05

Could someone do me a favour and run his yummy yoghurt through the syns calulator please?

13.5

Blueberry234 · 08/09/2016 09:09

Sorry 13

EmilyK83 · 08/09/2016 09:13

Welcome back Just!

Basin - I never save HexB choices, but if I feel like 2 in a day, I have a random SP day to get them in...

Today's plan for me:

B - fruit and yoghurt
L - mixed bean and turkey salad
D - salmon, roast potatoes and veg

Skinny latte as HexA, cereal bars as HexB. No idea about syns. Decided to up them yesterday as I'm at target, and had 20 instead of 15. Just ended up feeling guilty.

Adjusting is going to be tough...

BasinHaircut · 08/09/2016 09:22

Thanks blue and emily.

So I was sort of right then but it's even worse, 6.5syns for half the pot! It's so nice though and obviously no free allowance so I could use on an SP day and get my 2 HEXB's without cheating!

I could choose a different yoghurt but honestly, this one is like cream, so thick and delicious.

Might look into other flavours though (think there is a vanilla one) and see if that's less syns.

Blueberry234 · 08/09/2016 09:33

My food plan today looks a little like this
B- Banana and some grapes
L- beans on toast using hexb
D- spag Bol with qourn and lots of speed veg in it.
May use hexa with some cheese on spag Bol or if I meet my friend later today I will have a skinny latte.

Syns- not sure may have a glass of wine later if I feel like it

ALemonyPea · 08/09/2016 09:56

There's 8 in that yoghurt Basin (4.5 for 100ml on app)

I never have 2 HEBs in a day unless SP, but then I'm a bit rigid about my healthy extras anyway.

Thanks for the exercise advice. Thinking of taking up running (yes yes, laugh away) but will se. Might get a wrist thingy and see how many steps I make a day.

B: porridge with HEB and HEA, fruit
D: cottage cheese salad
T: chicken chow mein

Blueberry234 · 08/09/2016 10:11

How have calculated it wrong? Genuine question as if I am missing something I need to know for working out my own syns!

BasinHaircut · 08/09/2016 10:34

Ohh maybe not as bad then!

Lemony I've started couch25k, just completed week 3. There is a thread over on the exercise section that I've joined. I'm using the BBC app which is working or well. Come join me!

ALemonyPea · 08/09/2016 10:38

Blueberry, I checked the SW app first to see if it was there. Occasionally the app is less, due to free foods etc.

Blueberry234 · 08/09/2016 11:29

Brilliant thank you!

emwithme · 08/09/2016 11:54

Woo hoo! 2.5 lbs off this week, 3 stone 3 lbs in total. 11 lbs to target.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

saintava · 08/09/2016 12:11

Hi!

Can I join you, I've been an SW member since June, though didn't follow plan during the holidays and put back on 8.5 lbs of the 10.5 lbs I had lost! But I'm ok with that, my plan was to not be heavy than when I started when I went back.

But now I really need to knuckle down and get back on track :-)

froubylou · 08/09/2016 13:09

Hello all

Back on it properly from today onwards. Really want to get below 12 St by the end of September. Got 4lb to shift!

B. Coffee
L. Tuna and crabstick salad with a blob of salad cream
T. Beef stew with a fuck ton of veg. Hifi for B choice and a choice in coffee.

House needs a good deep clean over next couple of weeks so will increase the body magic and I need to get garden put to bed for winter. And am starting baby pony in work next week so that will help too!

EmilyK83 · 08/09/2016 13:32

Well done Em, that's brilliant - you'll be at target at no time!

Hello Saint!

Got every faith in you frouby, and I now want crab sticks after reading your meals for today...
