Well done Emily Flowers Halo

froubylou · 06/09/2016 11:48

Wow well done Emily you must be chuffed to bits.

1.5lbs off this morning. Hope it doesn't stay at that!

Today's plan.

B. Coffee
L. Not sure yet. Not hungry at all so might just have some fruit.
T. Jacket spud and salad with tuna

Heb will be hifi, a choice in coffee. SyN's will be a bit of coleslaw and a blob of salad cream on my tea.

ALemonyPea · 06/09/2016 12:30

Welcome newbies and well done losers.

Bloody well done Emily! You've done so well getting there. You'll make an excellent consultant.

5.5 loss for me Shock and 4 stone award. Totally buzzing. Just over half way there now (by 2lb).

15 weeks on Sunday until Christmas. What's everyone aiming for? I'm hoping for another 2 stone off, would be happy with 1 and a half.

B: fruit at group
D: subway salad with sweet onion dressing (1.5 syns) hifi bar for HEB
T: chilli and wedges with HEA cheese

BasinHaircut · 06/09/2016 12:51

Emily I'm so pleased for you!

What an amazing job you have done. Agree you would make an amazing consultant.

Just Wow!

Thanks ladies - I honestly can't stop grinning, I'm so happy!! Grin Cloudy - I never thought I'd get to this weight when I started, but SW really does work!

Well done on the losses frouby and Lemony - brilliant news!!

Today's plan:

B - none (weigh in)
L - Heinz tagine chickpeas and salad
D - off out for dinner and will make the most of it!

I've not yet been given the book about what to do when you get to target - my consultant forgot! Picking it up later so will have a good read through then...

Ah, sod it.

You are at target. You need to be at target+2.5 lbs next week...

randomer · 06/09/2016 17:20

mmm week one not really settled into it.

profpoopsnagle · 06/09/2016 17:47

Well done Emily, you have always been so very focused on the long term aim.

I am down 1.5 this week, so that's some of the holiday gain coming off. Also tried the rumblethumps from the mag this week which were nice, but a little faffy (unless you had left over veb from a roast).

How much are hifi bars? I have never bought them. And what kind of syns are they, are they filling? I tend to use my hexb on shredded wheat.

Sugar8Spice · 06/09/2016 17:51

Congrats Emily,

So so proud of you....and all the others with great results....both SV and NSV....

Just being on this journey is an NSV...(IMHO).

noodlezoodle · 06/09/2016 18:29

Congratulations Emily, that's amazing! Very well done Smile

MollyRedskirts · 06/09/2016 18:57

Hi fi bars are £1.95 per box. They do two versions - one bigger bar that is one healthy B choice, or 6 syns, and then smaller bars for 3 syns each, or you can have 2 for your B choice.

What have you found difficult, Randomer? Anything we can help with?

I am proud of myself. I bought a pack of those weird flavoured Walkers crisps without looking at the calories. I went for the cheese, cucumber and salad creme flavour and they would have been 10.5 syns for the pack! I gave half to DS who didn't like them grrrr and had half, which I'm counting as 5. They were so weird, but nice.

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 06/09/2016 19:14

Well done Emily!!!!!

I've been back at work (with students actually in) two days now, with my kids back at school too. Yesterday I pretty much crawled to bed completely exhausted but today I feel miles better.

I made my tea, tomorrow's lunch, tomorrow's tea and Thurs lunch this evening so I am very prepared!

Today
B- crunchy bran (HEB)
L-SW/Iceland Chicken Curry (won't repurchase) and cauli rice
D- three large portobello mushrooms stuffed with bacon and quark, topped with cheddar (HEA)

Just having some choc that I'm going to count as about 8 Syns.

Feeling so positive about weigh in this Saturday, knowing my luck it'll be a gain!!

Holly88 · 06/09/2016 20:02

Hey randomer - why do you not feel settled into it in your first week?

manicpixiestargirl · 06/09/2016 20:04

Hello everyone! I posted here for the first time a while back but I've had a funny few weeks - lots of little trips and parties - so SW has taken a bit of a back seat. I put on 3lb the week before bank holiday, so I took bank holiday off (I weigh in on Mondays) and going back yesterday I'd lost 2.5lb over the fortnight. So almost back to where I was :) I really want to have a great week this week, if I can lose 2lb I'll get my 1.5st award AND my club 10! So fingers crossed.

Today was:
B: raspberries, Muller Light
L: SW beef in red onion gravy ready meal
D: homemade burgers with mini Babybel lights inside (AMAZING), in wholemeal bun with sweet potato fries and salad

Peaches for snacks.

HEXA was the Babybel lights, HEXB was the bun. Syns on BBQ sauce (1.5), thousand island dressing (2), and a fruit pastille ice lolly (2.5) for a treat this evening. So finishing on 6, which I'm happy with!

Well done Emily, what an amazing achievement :) and Molly impressed by your crisps willpower, I'm trying to avoid all together as they're a massive weakness for me!

mcdog · 06/09/2016 20:09

Hi ladies, what do you recommend for low syn savoury snacks? I'm not a choc person, but really missing grabbing bags of crisps.

BasinHaircut · 06/09/2016 20:37

mcdog I'd go for sweet and salty popcorn. You get a decent amount for a few syns. The issue I have with 'treats' is that for 5 syns or so it's such a piddly amount that I'd rather not bother.

But if a change of plan for breakfast for me today. Ended up not really having time for fruit and yoghurt as I had a meeting at work, so had weetabix and milk instead.

Lunch was as planned plus a banana. Dinner was steak, stir fry and rice.

I've prepared lunch tomorrow of steak, stir fry and noodles and will have fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Not sure about dinner yet but need to get something out of the freezer.

Need to remember to factor in HEXA and HEXB when I don't have cereal for breakfast though.

ALemonyPea · 06/09/2016 20:38

Emily has a great list of snacks McDog. I like Hula Hoop pufts which are 3.5 syns a pack.

MargoReadbetter · 06/09/2016 22:15

Well done to all who lost and all who kept with the plan or are returning to it.

Emily - what an achievement! Well done.

I've lost 1 stone in total since late June. V pleased.

MollyRedskirts · 06/09/2016 22:54

Aldi's version of Quavers are only 3 syns per pack. I always have those in.

I recently discovered Aldi's chocolate covered rice cakes and I prefer them to a Freddo as they're more substantial. 4 syns for one. If you'd have told me a year ago I'd prefer a rice cake to actual chocolate, I'd have told you to give your head a wobble!

I have a thing for Aldi's sweet shop lolly ices, or whatever they're called. They're tiny but lovely. Bubblegum, candyfloss, and apple flavours. 2 syns each.

The classic SW snacks: Freddo - 5 syns, caramel Freddo - 4.5 syns.

Most rich tea finger biscuits are 1 syn each. It's nice to have a few of them with a coffee and not have blown my day's syns.

Werther's Originals are my current favourite. 0.5 each for the sugar free version, which are only fit for the bin so don't bother. 1 syn each for the proper ones and they last ages.

Sainsbury's do a bag of sugar free marshmallows. I don't go often, but I make a point of picking up a few bags when I do, as you get 25g for only 3.5 syns, which is loads when you weigh them out.

maygirl · 06/09/2016 23:04

Wow wow wow Emily!! And Lemony- your losses are amazing! Well done everyone.

I'm fed up and wobbly, wanting to stuff myself with off plan food and overeating portion wise. I think I only manage 2 good weeks/ month mood wise before pmt kicks in. Stuck to it today though.

B b choice granola with yogurt, heA milk in hot drinks
Peach
L pastrami salad with red pepper dressing, orange
D the chicken taco recipe from the little book with this months mag. 3.5 syns . was tasty and had spicy chicken left over so have a Mexican chicken rice bowl ready for packed lunch tomorrow with loads of salad, + beans and raw corn. Might add 4 syns of avocado in the morning.
Few sweets 6 syns.
Spinning at gym.
