Wasted 21syns on a mediocre pub Sunday lunch , but at least we know not to there again !

MIL us a SW leader , so she has given me a few tips
I don't know if there on here already ..
Use Syns over the week , 15 x 7 = 105
A bottle of wine is 30 Syns
A HE is 6 Syns

Off for a mini break with DH , so even though my WI is Tuesday , I'll have to wait til Saturday

OrianaBanana · 03/10/2016 09:16

Well I had a rubbish weekend, kept eating sugar upon more sugar for some reason, then chip shop chips... skipping dinner... Blush

Anyway back on it today and hoping to minimise the damage even though I don't know what that would look like in terms of the scales. I should really be limiting the sugar for the baby anyway.

B - Weetabix wheat bran and milk (HExA1 and B1), decaf coffee, sf squash, nectarine
L - crab sticks, mullerlight, itsu chicken pot (1.5 syns), orange, apple (storecupboard lunch!)
D - crabcakes from the mag (hmm, more crab), big salad, SW chips
S - 2 x hifi lights (HExB2), probably more milk for HExA2, chewits (5.5 syns), speed fruit/veg to nibble.

Really need to do a shop!

BalthazarImpresario · 03/10/2016 11:27

Well I managed a 4lb first week loss, this was with sneaky biscuits, and cocktails (and period arrive yesterday, I rarely have them due to coil but oh no this was the week)

Its my birthday Sunday, I'm drinking my fill on Saturday and having a slice of cake on Sunday. This is life and I'm not totally drying out my birthday for something that's going to take time. Possibly the wrong attitude but I'm going to be very strict this week to compensate for the weekend.
I don't buy food post drinking so I'm saving my heB for when I get in to have toasted with eggs. Then I'll collapse hahah.

ScarletSienna · 03/10/2016 11:32

Hi! New to SW (other than a half arsed attempt 5 years ago) and want this to be the time I get to healthy weight.
Week one: -6.5lbs
Week two: -5.5lbs

Finding getting my HexA in a challenge (I'm vegan) so taking a calcium supplement as well as calcium rich foods.

Miss the ease of bread.

Love reading others' success stories!

ALemonyPea · 03/10/2016 12:14

Well done on the losses.

Freezing today. Will have to invest in thermals.

B: fruit, yoghurt, hifi bad HEB
D: ham and egg salad, cheese HEA, pufts 3.5 syns
T: pork medallions, jacket potato, salad

froubylou · 03/10/2016 13:35

afternoon all and welcome newbies.

Ds is still not well so hung off me permanently today. I want to scream lol. He is currently sat on my swinging off my arm while I have 5 mins break from housework.

Got my first ocado shop today. Very impressed with how it all looks. Got a fuck ton of stuff. loads of meat and veg and salad. But haven't actually tried anything yet as have been busy.

Lots of veg and a pack of mixed pulses and grains so am going to do a big pot of soup at some point.

b. Coffee
L. Nothing yet. Maybe a ham salad in a minute or some fruit maybe.
T. Lambs liver, onions, bacon, mashed potatoes, veg, gravy. Can't bloody wait, I love liver!

B choice will be hifi bars, a choice for milk.

FranklyMeDeer · 03/10/2016 14:11

It was freezing here this morning then the caretakers fired up the boiler in my room and now I'm too hot and just want to hibernate Grin

Frouby a big pot of soup is a good idea, I may do that and freeze portions for work. There are three of us here at work doing SW, every now and again we provide lunch for the whole fatfighters gang, soup would be an easy one.

B 2 x toast (hexb) with spread & marmite 2 syns
L leftover beef stew (syn free)
T mashed potato with milk from hexa and carrot & swede mashed in, loads of carrots and green veg. Gravy. Dh & dc's will have sausages with theirs. Probs about 2 or 3 syns.

I keep a fruit bowl at work and graze on apples etc through the day. I also have a pear tree in my garden groaning with conference pears so no excuses there... Also easy pickings for the veg box at group Grin

ninnypoo · 03/10/2016 16:31

Tempted to give up. Will probably gain again this week after a night out (walked like 20,000 steps though!) I'm fine during the week but my life circumstances ATM (Boyf moved to London so doing long distance- lots of travelling and being a guest) means that I feel like I have no control over what I can eat at a weekend as usually I'm eating out for at least 3 meals.

Gudgyx · 03/10/2016 16:40

I had a bad weekend. All was fine until a young girl turned up at mums house on Saturday selling sweets (tablet, macaroon fudge). I bought one of each for OH. Ended up eating the tablet and fudge myself. And it didn't stop there! I ended up having some Bacardi and coke zero, got drunk and phoned myself an Indian at midnight. Then was hungover yesterday so had a Chinese :(

But I'm not fretting too much. Back on it today and doing a week of SP to get back on track. Weigh in tomorrow though which I am not looking forward to. I have written out my list of meals and pinned it to the fridge for the week so fingers crossed. Todays is:

B: Half a melon, strawberries and blackberries, a plum and a tangerine
L: Toast (HEB1) and spicy beans with tomato and onion, with 30g low fat cheese on top (HEA) Plum, tangerine and an apple.
D: Surf and Turf salad. (Muscle food fat free sirloin steak, king prawns, loads of salad)
Snack: 2 x plain Ryveta (HEB2) quark and cucumber.
Syns: Hartleys 10 cal jam pot (1/2 syn) 50g custard (2.5 syn) and loads of berries

Fingers crossed. Good luck all

maygirl · 03/10/2016 17:02

I love Body Pump Owlina, I haven't stopped doing it since it came out in the late 90's and never get bored!
Campfire stew was delicious, it popped up on my Facebook a few days ago.
Syn free, 1 small gammon or pork joint, 1 chopped onion, 3 crushed garlic cloves, 2 tins baked beans, 1 tbsp smoked paprika,1tsp chilli powder, 2 chopped peppers, 6tbsp tomato puree, into slow cooker on low for 6 hours. Shred pork before serving. I soaked the gammon in water overnight first to get rid of some saltiness.
Today
B 2 poached eggs, heB toast
Apple, heA milk in coffees
L split pea and ham soup
D salmon, roast aubergine and peppers, raw carrot and raisin salad, will syn few raisins and the squeeze of orange juice, cousin cous for the others, me too if v hungry, otherwise aiming for a speedy and low syn day!

OwlinaTree · 03/10/2016 19:44

Thanks for the recipe may, I'll give it a try.

Congrats on the losses sienna and Balthazar, v impressive! I've got WI tomorrow, jeans feel very loose so fx for a good loss!

Totally agree about your birthday plans btw, losing weight is great, but you've got to enjoy your life too. Same for you ninny. Can you see it as a maintain for now if circumstances aren't really allowing for losing loads? Then any you do lose is a bonus?

Morning all!

Well my first day of SP went well yesterday. The surf and turf salad was amazing!

Today's menu is:

L: Cockaleekie roup, small brown roll (HEB2) fruit
D: SW curry and loads of veg
Extra: The mousse recipe using quark, sweetner & highlights, with berries

WI tonight! Not sure whether to go to the half 5 class on the way home from work, or half 7 like I normally do. Eeek!

ALemonyPea · 04/10/2016 10:05

B: peanut butter on toast HEB (4.5 syns), fruit salad

T: chicken curry, rice

Babblehag · 04/10/2016 10:06

Hi, can I jump in please?, I've been slimming worlding on and off for 7 years, while I'm on plan it works, its just getting my head in the game, (I suffer from depression and anxiety). I'd like a bit of online support, inspiration and be able to pinch a few food ideas and recipes.

Brontegirl1 · 04/10/2016 10:39

Well done everyone on the losses! 2lbs off in my second week, making 11lbs in all. (Was a little disappointed with only 2lbs but have had a weekend in London and was at a conference yesterday. It's really hard to find good free food choices when you are bombing about all over the place!) Thanks everyone who offered ideas on using my syns as I was struggling with that. Feeling really motivated this week to keep going!

Buttwing · 04/10/2016 11:13

Hi all welcome to all the newbies and well done losers.

I've struggled to get back on it after my night out and hangover plus I've had two of the kids ill so managing on very little sleep at the moment which always makes me reach for the biscuits!
Anyway back on it today

B-coffee
L- lentil and bacon soup
D-sausage casserole with baked potato and broccoli

Redpony1 · 04/10/2016 12:25

Ok, first WI tomorrow morning....

Then i am off to a long day at HOYS where there will be no SW friendly stuffs to eat (although i will be too busy to eat too much!), then Friday night i have my DP's 30th birthday meal. I have planned to be tight with my syns for the remaining 5 days next week to help make up for it!

Well done everyone, some fab losses!!

I'm still struggling with synfree/very low syn lunches that i dont have to prepare myself though. For now i am sticking to tomato or chicken Mugshots and a fat free yog

froubylou · 04/10/2016 13:55

ohhhh redpony am weljel of your hoys trip! Have you qualified or are you spectating? We don't show at that level but am half toying with the idea of doing a few lr q's in a year or 2. I wanted to go and watch this year but haven't been organised enough again. Sigh.

todays plan

B. Coffee
L. ceaser salad with ham
t. chicken fajitas (no wrap for me though), salad and rice.
Syns for gin and hifi for B choice.

ALemonyPea · 04/10/2016 19:28

Red, my favourite lunch is subway salad with sweet onion dressing. Lots of speed, a variety of meats and super tasty. I have at least two a week.

Wonder where Emily is? Has she abandoned us now she is at target? Come back Emily!

FranklyMeDeer · 04/10/2016 20:42

1st weigh in last night, 4lb off.

Busy day but on plan.

B egg muffins
L sweet potato carrots & beef broth
Yogurt mid afternoon
T pulled pork, rice and green veg
Hexb hi fi bar

Just realised no hexa, haven't had a hot drink today so no milk at all. Might have a hot choc before bed.

OwlinaTree · 04/10/2016 20:54

Hi guys, weigh in today, lost 2.5lb! I'm pleased with that. 4lb in total now. Just got to keep plugging away at it now I suppose. Really hope I can do a stone by Christmas, that's only around a pound a week, and then I'll feel much better starting the new year!

PositiveAttitude · 04/10/2016 20:55

Another 2lb off at WI tonight. Pleased with that. Now just 0.5lb away from my 2.5 stone award and 2lb off my first target. (still loads to go, but a good start) Grin

ALemonyPea · 04/10/2016 21:40

Great losses everyone!

emwithme · 04/10/2016 21:49

Welcome newbies and well done losers.

SP day today:

B: Eggy muffins
L: Ham salad
D: Salmon and roasted mediterranean vegetables
HEA: Milk
HEB1: Dried apricots
HEB2: Hifi bars

Came on last night for the fourth month running while wearing my wonder woman knickers, wtf is it about them so not expecting a loss this week, but hoping not to gain...
