Just had my weigh in and am another 3.5lbs down :) So 11 altogether and 59 to go!

RavenQueen · 23/09/2016 10:37

Morning everyone xx
Congratulations on all the losses xx

Had weigh in last night and I lost 1.5lbs so didn't get my 3lbs but not surprised, it probably had something to do with the dirty donner kebab and chips I had on Sun Confused anyhoo it's another week now. What I really find difficult though is Saturday night, before SW I used to have something like a baguette for tea but now I'm totally stuck, what can I have that's quick and easy?

ALemonyPea · 23/09/2016 11:54

Well done losers!

Raven, what about pizza? I make my base with Aldi crusty wholemeal bread flour. It's a HEB but I double it for 6 syns. I put tomato purée on, then veggies and sometimes bacon, and top with HEA cheese. Serve with a salad, it's delicious, just like a pizza.

Been for a run today, I'm so unfit. Decided I don't like running.

B: yoghurt, melon, Alpen bar (1/2 HEB)
D: chicken salad, popcorn (4 syns)

Not sure what I'm having for tea tonight, was going to get Chinese chicken from Asda, but they didn't have it in either of the Asdas I went into.

RavenQueen · 23/09/2016 12:11

See that's the thing Lemony that takes effort, I want something easy and quick like a sandwich Confused I think I might look down the ready meal route and see what there is but I can't get to an Iceland only a Tesco or an Asda on a weekend

tabulahrasa · 23/09/2016 12:17

There are supermarket ready meals that are pretty low syn.

I don't know loads of them because I'm limited by not eating meat, but I've got a couple of Bisto frozen cauliflower cheeses in the freezer because they're only 1.5 Syns.

Or the big mug shots in pots taste pretty much like pot noodles if you don't mind additives, lol.

What else? Oh batchelors couscous, three of them are free.

Or things like aunt Bessie's baked sweet potatoes are free with cottage cheese (or whatever)

I work evenings, so when I'm busy I have a lot of stuff like that.

BasinHaircut · 23/09/2016 12:31

raven what about scrambled eggs and beans on toast? Or a jacket spud you can chuck in the oven in the afternoon and forget about?

I feel your pain, I love bread

OrianaBanana · 23/09/2016 12:33

Going slightly off rails today so trying to pull it back.

B - weetabix and milk (HeXA1 and HExB1). Also drank some more milk and ate a cheese triangle so I'll call that HExA2 Hmm
L - falafel and wholemeal pitta with hummus and salad (estimated 15.5 syns)
D - baked fish and SW chips + speed veg
S - Alpen light (HExB2), apple, pear, satsuma

Hoping I can leave it there for today! Will try and get DH and DS to finish lingering popcorn before I get to it tonight Confused

RavenQueen · 23/09/2016 12:47

Thanks for the ideas everyone xxx I think I need the shopping book, lol.

Basin this is my problem I'm a total bread fiend and as silly as it sounds this week I had wholemeal as my HEXB and I only lost 1.5lb whereas the previous week I didn't have any and lost 4! Maybe that's the key for me no bread

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2016 13:35

I'm struggling a bit... Started on Monday (first meeting) but I ended up having pizza on the Tuesday and chicken wings on Wednesday. Tried hard yesterday and day went:

B- bacon, tomatoes, beans, 1 slice seeded 400g bread and 'fried' egg
S- banana
L- bits of leftover potato and mince from cooking
S- satsuma, French fries crisps - 4 syns
D- cottage pie with peas, carrots and mushrooms HEA cheese
Syns- glass rose wine (8%) 9

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2016 13:42

Today is better again so hope I'm getting more into it and won't gain on the first week Blush

B- omelette with mozzarella (HEA1) ham, peppers and tomatoes
S- Banana
L- jacket potato with no skin, mashed with Bisto gravy (1 syn) half a plate of mixed leaves and two slices Bernard Matthews turkey breast. And an apple
S- thinking of using HEB for something other than bread! Would love to try a hifi, will have to look out for them at my next meeting, how much are they?
D- pasta with tomato and vegetable sauce (mushrooms, peppers, carrot) and meatballs
Had to have less syns as I went way over yesterday!

Buttwing · 23/09/2016 13:56

Impossible they are £1.95 really worth it, I almost always use them as a heb.

B-banana
L- melon and Parma ham, sea bass, new potatoes, capers and olives.
D- something from the freezer maybe chilli.

Me and dp sneaked off for a fancy pants lunch while the kids were at various places! Hence the amount I ate, main course had oil on which I tried to dodge as much as I could. Will allow 5 syns.

Basin- when I cook anything I make extra and freeze it so on nights when I can't be arsed (like tonight) I can chuck something in the microwave. Or I get a ready done chicken and make salad. I usually allow a couple of syns in case the chicken has oil on but they are usually done on a rotisserie so it should drain away.

I've had a drastic new haircut I look very different (past bra strap length to long wavey bob) I keep catching sight of myself in mirrors and doing a double take! I suppose I will get used to itConfused

EmilyK83 · 23/09/2016 14:01

Improbable - there's also Alpen Light bars and the Aldi Benefit Light bars, you can have 2 for HexB. Or dried fruit/nuts?

It's worth checking the seeded bread to see if that's synned too, normally just wholemeal for HexB...

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2016 14:03

Ooh I hate that feeling butt
I'm thinking of going for the chop too- I've recently gone a warm dark caramel colour from bright blonde so I wanted to do a collarbone length Bob, dp really isn't keen but it'll grow back if I hate it! Bet the condition has improved loads too.

Thanks for the HiFi info, but £1.95 a day is a bit steep- maybe for a treat on a Saturday! Grin dark mint chocolate sounded particularly good

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2016 14:06

Thanks emily yeah it is usually synned, dp bought it by mistake but you can have 1 800g seed sensation slice as your HEB if it's wholemeal, so I'm just finishing up the loaf, only one slice left Smile

OrianaBanana · 23/09/2016 14:08

It's £1.95 for a pack of 6 Improbable Wink

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2016 14:23

Oh Blush that's much more reasonable!!

tabulahrasa · 23/09/2016 16:13

Rofl - see I was thinking, well a box a day seems a bit excessive like, but I suppose it's only a b choice and 12 Syns....

ALemonyPea · 23/09/2016 16:29

Ah gotcha Raven. My go to lazy Saturday treat is a triple decker sandwich using three slices of crustless bread for HEB, then bacon, mushrooms, fried egg and tomato, splash of brown sauce. Delightful!

maygirl · 23/09/2016 16:32

Raven, Schar gluten free ciabatta is a heB and surprisingly nice if you want a warm crusty sandwich. I made garlic bread using it once. I also do the hot rotisserie chicken idea with bagged salads when no time or inclination to cook. Or a big plateful of bits from the fridge, prawns, smoked salmon, cold meats, raw veggies, bagged salad, shop coleslaw mix made up with yogurt and low fat mayo, pickles, heA cheese or cheese triangles/ philli, heB ryvitas or a roll.

Off to friends wedding so flexi synning + saved some over the week to enjoy the occasion fully!
B scrambled egg on heB roll, grapefruit, 2 syns milk
L made soup to use up chicken bits and veg in fridge before going away, ,+ last bit of my reduced fat feta as heA
D will eat out when we arrive , unsure what or where.
Have great weekend all!

Buttwing · 23/09/2016 17:05

Yes sorry improbable I should have made that clearer!!Blush

ninnypoo · 23/09/2016 18:14

Well done to everyone staying on plan!

I'm feeling tested... Having a bit of a down moment and usually I deal with that 'nervous tummy' feeling I get when I'm sad by eating. Home alone all night and desperate not to binge

Mummyme87 · 23/09/2016 19:41

Went to a cafe for lunch which serves slimming world food with syn value, HE etc

WipsGlitter · 23/09/2016 19:52

Terrible end to the week. Away for work so three glasses of wine, cake and a fancy buffet.

Made some OK choices - eggs and fruit for breakfast, pasta salad, chicken salad. Buffet was impossible though!! Too much milk on all the coffees too!!! Needed them to keep me awake!

TheImprobableGirl · 23/09/2016 19:58

I'm going to put on at my first weigh in Blush I'm hoping the embarrassment will keep me on track, my brother came round with Chinese and wine- I swear I've never seen him dip into his pocket in 26 years!! It was a thank you. I ate all the food. I am drinking all the wine. I've got mother in law from hell round tomorrow... Can I start Monday morning and realistically expect to not look like a twat?!

PositiveAttitude · 24/09/2016 07:13

Don't worry Improbable. Sometimes life gets in the way! I would suggest that you go to the group, get motivated and start afresh. Nobody should make you feel bad because everyone is in the same boat. Our group is lovely and supportive. I think we are probably the only group in the country who voted for the "woman of the year" who had had PUT ON 9 stone in the year!!! Grin
