Don't apologise. It's a support thread, and whatever is happening, we are here for you.

I'm the opposite when stressed, I eat and eat and eat. That how I ended up here. I was daring for my terminally ill MIL, and didn't make time to look after myself.

ALemonyPea · 15/09/2016 21:52

*caring

justamo · 15/09/2016 22:54

Oh dear Frouby. I can feel your pain and frustration. Focus on the enjoyment you got from cooking tonight so that you don't get into the can't be bothered - eat shit - feel shit cycle. Easier said than done I know Flowers.

Weigh in today. Amazingly I lost 1lb. Not sure how but I'll take it. I rejoined last week and it's a different team doing weigh in. As I stepped up to the scales the lady said 'you must be a target member' . I'm not sure how I feel about this.

EmilyK83 · 16/09/2016 06:56

Thanks ladies! And well done Just!!

Frouby, don't apologise - we're all here for mutual support. Playing devil's advocate here slightly, but maybe ask yourself how she'd react if you told her about the not eating? I'm sure she wants you to look after yourself - I know it's tough when there's so much shit going on though x

frouby take care of yourself.

You do need to eat, even if it's not SW friendly just a sandwich is better than nothing. Cake

froubylou · 16/09/2016 08:23

Thanks everyone

Was a bit wobbly last night. Dsis was txtin me how scared she is. Her dp is lovely but scared too and just keeps telling her it will be fine. When I think she wants to talk about what will happen if it's not fine. It's difficult atm for her as her younger dcs don't know yet and my mum and other sisters are all really upset. So she doesn't want to upset them anymore.

Have said we will meet for coffee or something whenever she wants to talk and I am tough enough to be morbid with her if that is what she wants.

Am going to make a sw quiChe later with the left over gammon so I have something to snack on. And for tea it's takeaway night so will definitely be eating today!

I need to look after myself and still have my goals in mind so I can be fit and well for anything that happens and whatever I am needed for.

Mummyme87 · 16/09/2016 08:27

day 2. Really need to go shopping. I have nothing to snack on and have a White choc and raspberry cake sitting on the side 😏

Bibs2014 · 16/09/2016 08:43

Look after yourself Frouby Flowers

Just -you did better than me, I only lost 0.5. Come on, post your menus and we can help each other Smile

Hex B Cereal bar, fruit, yoghurt, coffee

Lunch is pasta salad

Dinner will be chicken with chicken

Will use Hex A on milk.

RavenQueen · 16/09/2016 09:41

1st weigh in last night and I lost 4lb so I'm happy with that Grin I'm going to go for 3 this week and hopefully get my half a stone, well here's hoping anyway.

Mummyme87 · 16/09/2016 10:02

Not sure what I'm having today for food as just planning meals now. Yesterday's went something like this...

L lots of salad (lettuce cucumber and toms), ham and boiled eggs with 2 sachets of salad cream (4syns), low fat choc mousse (4.5syn)
D lean lamb steaks, potatoes, broccoli and sprouts. 2tsp mint sauce (2syns)
S ginger snap (2syn), melon, satsumas, Apple

11.5syn total

OrianaBanana · 16/09/2016 11:05

Frouby just to say that Macmillan 0808 808 00 00 (Monday to Friday, 9am–8pm) are good if she wants to talk about things without upsetting people. Flowers

EmilyK83 · 16/09/2016 12:42

Today's meals for me:

B - skinny latte (HexA)
L - Singapore flavour Naked Noodles and stir fried veg

Thank you 😘. Well I was going to be cooking fish tonight but turns out my fish went off a couple of days ago!!! So now what to have for tea? Tonight is a pain as it is because my eldest is going away for the weekend and we've got to drop her off, so I don't know what to do for me and OH.

ALemonyPea · 16/09/2016 13:40

I survived the gym 🤗 Totally unfit, but it's a start. Hoping I don't hurt too much tomorrow.

Well done on your loss Raven

B: porridge (HEA and HEB)
D: subway salad, 1.5 syns for dressing
T: possibly chicken curry.

ALemonyPea · 16/09/2016 13:41

Oh, and the new hifi bar is going to mint choc. Cannot Wait!

fortifiedwithtea · 16/09/2016 15:29

Its my first day. I'm hungry and a tea addict and already nearly out of milk.

So far today I've had
B 2 x Weetabix with milk, an apple, cup of tea
cup of coffee
Muller yoghurt
L jacket potato, dairylea lite triangle and loads of spinach, cup of tea
Snack an apple, no other fruit in the house

I need to go to the supermarket and shop properly.

Tell me others have a disorganised first day too

Mummyme87 · 16/09/2016 16:13

Fortified, I also had a disorganised start. I did a big shop this afternoon so feeling better.

Buttwing · 16/09/2016 16:32

Fortified it's so hard when you haven't got all the things in you need I know on the day before food shopping I'm the same thinking what the hell can I eat. I like tea and coffee so I wouldn't use any milk for breakfast cereal or I would run out you could swap milk for yogurt on cereal? But maybe not on weetabix I can't imagine that being nice!! If I don't eat enough protein I'm starving sometimes I grill bacon or chicken to snack on.

Came on today which explains the sugar cravings yesterday! It had somehow slipped my mind!

B-ham and eggs a quarter of a slice of white gorgeous toast (3) went out for breakfast.
L-nothing I was still full
D-slag Bol

2hifia, mini chomp (2) extra hifi by mistake grr(3)

Buttwing · 16/09/2016 16:33

Spag bolBlush

profpoopsnagle · 16/09/2016 16:45

Fort I am also a tea addict. If it comes to it, it is better to have a cup of tea (dash of milk = 0.5 syn) than any food that might cost you more. I also found I was 'hungry' at first whilst my stomach adjusted. The worst was over by day 3, and I rarely feel that hungry any more.

ALemonyPea · 16/09/2016 18:09

Slag Bol 😄

I did make chicken curry for tea, was lovely.

I'm not a milk drinker, so I always have cheese for my HEA. And I only have tea if I'm ill, even then it's black, and has to be served with half a packet of digestives.

EmilyK83 · 16/09/2016 19:01

Fortified - how do you feel about almond milk? You get LOADS for your HexA...

OP posts:
froubylou · 16/09/2016 19:38

Thanks Orianna. Am going to ring them Monday to ask a few questions on her behalf.

I have just ordered a curry and am having a can of lager. I think I need it after this week. It's been spectacularly shitty and not just because of sister.

But my quiche I made today is gorgeous. Did left over gammon, our own tomatoes and a bit of asparagus in 250g of ff cottage cheese and 6 large eggs. Have loads left for tomorrow too. And I have hairdressers tomorrow afternoon so a welcome few hours break.

Buttwing · 16/09/2016 20:27

Is anyone going to get the new curry book? I'm not sure when it's available but one was passed round at group on Wednesday there was some really nice looking recipes, one for whole roasted cauliflower in spices looked particularly good not a sentence I thought would every come out of my mouth!!

emwithme · 16/09/2016 20:45

I've got the new curry book, Butt, it looks lovely except for that whole cauliflower thing, that did not float my boat

Today's food:

B: Eggy muffins
L: Ham salad, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Spag bol
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

I cannot wait for the new hifi bars to come out...mint chocolate is YUM. If they're anything like the old ones were (back in the dim-and-distants when all hifi bars were 6 syns) then I'm very looking forward to them - I just hope they last longer than the coconut ones!
