Love a good spag bol, Wing! And you should definitely make a pilgrimage to Waitrose and stock up...that froyo is SO good!

Buttwing · 27/07/2016 20:08

Hi wing and EmilySmile

Buttwing · 27/07/2016 20:12

Got all excited and posted too earlyBlush

Bizarrely I ended up having spag Bol for tea as well. It was really good. I definitely need to head o re to waitrose and stock up on this froyo it sounds amazing.

I'm off on an unplanned holiday in 3 weeks, first one with all 4dc I'm a bit nervous!
Anyway it's put the fear of God into me, my body has not been in swimwear for a long time so want to lose a reasonable amount before I go.

maygirl · 27/07/2016 20:14

Milk in a coffee 1 syn

Comeonmommy · 27/07/2016 20:50

Serious question, have people been able to show withstraint when consuming the Waitroise froyo????? Mine is back in the freezer but I can't confirm how long for!!!!!

chough · 27/07/2016 20:54

Is this froyo an own brand, as there's no Waitrose near me?

EmilyK83 · 27/07/2016 21:02

Well done may!

Erm...I normally have a third of a tub at a time - 5 syns and then it's straight back in the freezer so I'm not tempted to have more!

Yep, it's an own brand Smile

emwithme · 27/07/2016 21:11

Come on I ate half a tub. I then had to forcibly put it back into the freezer (which is 28 steps away from my sofa).

I may have did bought another couple of five tubs today. I am going to mention it in group tomorrow but before I do that I made sure I have enough to see me through the inevitable rush.

Welcome back Butt - serious congrats on maintaining over six weeks.

WI tomorrow morning. Nervous (usual). Bloody stupid, really.

EmilyK83 · 27/07/2016 21:15

Em - 5 tubs is impressive - I thought I was stocking up by buying 3 last weekend! Grin

maygirl · 27/07/2016 21:28

Lol Em, lucky u didn't bump into anyone from SW with your trolly full of froyo!

Its funny when u bump into other members from your group and you can tell you are both having sneaky looks in each others trolleys Blush
I ended up having 10syns worth of the chocolate one at first try, but the fruit one lasted me longer. Was reading the cinema tips on SW website and now really want to go to the movies sneaking in a coolbag with a whole pot of choc froyo and savouring it. Might go with DH soon, taking a pot each!

emwithme · 27/07/2016 21:34

I would've bought more if they had more but they only had 5 Grin

You can't get the lovely M&S mini lemon meringues here unless you're at the Simply Food the minute they come off the truck. I love those for cinema nights...7 syns for the whole tub.

I would absolutely take my over-the-shoulder cool bag full of froyo to the cinema. I am going with DN in a couple of weeks...I am already embarrassing Aunty Em (as well as being lovely, obvs) so I wonder if this would be a step too far!

MollyRedskirts · 27/07/2016 22:42

Hi! Can I join in please?

I'm 1st 1lb (that 1lb is important, dammit!) down, which is about a third of the weight I'd like to lose. It's taken me since March to do it, but slow and steady does me fine. Smile

Breakfast today was pudding rice cooked with vanilla essence, mixed with a toffee mullerlight (which stretches across three portions of rice), cinnamon, raspberries, and 1tbsp choc shot for 1 syn. I resent using my HEXs on porridge so I decided to use rice in place of it and I find it more satisfying than ff greek yogurt and fruit, which is what I was having before.

Lunch was a Naked Noodle pot that I hastily threw some spring onion into so I could at least get some speed in there.

Tea: Macaroni and cheese pasta n sauce (1.5 syns) with jalapenos, cauliflower, ham and HEA cheese.

Snacks: Banana, fishsticks, HEB hi-fi.

Need to work on getting more speed food.

Tequilamockinbird · 27/07/2016 23:17

First weigh in tonight and I lost 7.5lb Shock

Really, really pleased, got the 1st bit of bling on my book too.

Twinklestar2 · 27/07/2016 23:19

I had to work late so snacked on a bag of hula hoops and came home to lentil curry and rice and picked at some cooked chicken. I didn't realise till afterwards that lentils aren't speed - oops.

Comeonmommy · 27/07/2016 23:25

That's genius May, never would have thought to take it to the cinemaSmile

EmilyK83 · 28/07/2016 07:27

Hi Molly! waves

Tequila that's amazing, well done!!

paddiessmum76 · 28/07/2016 09:19

Week 6 of Slimming World and weight loss has come to a halt. Hi all I needed to find a forum to get other opinions of SW. I had been poorly for over a month with chronic diarrhea. I started SW within a week my tummy troubles started to resolve. In the meantime whilst being under a specialist for my tummy it was discovered that I have coeliacs. Ok so the whole fruit and veg thing was great. I hadn't eaten cake bread for weeks which made sense but now I find going to the loo not so regular and pretty much constipated. I would have thought all the fruit and veg and water etc my body had would sort that. I'm just after some advice cos I can'r eat wholemeal bread for fibre or cereal. Ive been taking psyllium husk supplements along with a digestive enzyme but wanted to know if there is anything out there I could eat which is low in sync but still hight in fibre without gluten. lol see my problem any advice would be great :) x

paddiessmum76 · 28/07/2016 09:22

That was meant to say SYNS stopped autocorrect :P

chough · 28/07/2016 10:04

Hello, paddiesmum.
My usual failsafe constipation cure would be the old faithful scan bran, but that's no help to you, as you need a gluten-free option.
So, my second line suggestion is dried prunes: 65g is a healthy extra "b" choice, or 0.5 syn each.

MollyRedskirts · 28/07/2016 10:10

What about porridge (gluten-free oats, obviously!) as your B choice? You could mix them with yogurt and speed fruit to make overnight oats. Oats are high in soluble fibre, so they should help.

Emptynestx2 · 28/07/2016 10:25

Hi everyone, just starting SW again after a year which has seen me gain the 1.5st I lost last year :-(

My head hasn't been in the right place to start again but I'm feeling positive this week and am really happy yo have found this forum and all the support you are giving each other - well done everyone, your losses are all impressive and you must be feeling so much better.

So - here's to me finally losing 3st!!!! Just about to start C25k as well in the hope I will finally manage that too.

EmilyK83 · 28/07/2016 10:35

Hey paddies! I agree with prunes, or some really high fibre veggies such as the leafy green ones. I find that spinach always makes me "go" if I'm having problems! Make sure you're getting enough fluids in too...

Hi Emptynest - good luck! Everyone on here is lovely and helpful Smile

EmilyK83 · 28/07/2016 10:37

My plan for today:

B - apple, strawberries, grapes, melon
L - couscous salad with cucumber, celery, peppers and ham - lemon juice and fresh herbs for the dressing
D - chicken with sweet and sour sauce (1.5 syns), syn free veggie chow mein, syn free crispy seaweed

Skinny latte as HexA, Alpen Lights as HexB. Finished yesterday on 10 syns (more than I wanted to, oops) - aiming for under that today to make up for Tues night's splurge!

chough · 28/07/2016 10:41

Hello, Emptynest, you sound in just the right positive frame of mind to succeed with your weight loss and running programme.
I have just returned to group after a few months away, and I feel better already after only 5 days back on the plan.
Some of that is due to eating healthy food, but for me, it's also about feeling more generally positive and in control: the structured eating plan overflows into other areas of my life.
Well, reading that sounds like a load of nonsense, but I know what I mean!

Twinklestar2 · 28/07/2016 11:09

Welcome Emptynest!

Off to Pizza Express for lunch. Does anyone know the syns in dough balls and the superfood salad?
