Thanks for the list Emily thats brilliant to have.

Well done on all the good news here. I need don't worry, I have more than that to go! Blush

I am going to have to be super duper dedicated in the coming days. DD2 is in hospital, 25 +5 weeks pregnant and has gone into labour. Baby has been expected to arrive all day, but so far has stayed put. She was 8cm when she arrived at the hospital this morning, so too far gone to stop. I am heading off to London in the morning to stay for a few days, so I will be grabbing stuff on the go. I will try to watch what I grab, but this is going to be so hard and O have other things to worry about right now. Sad

chough · 18/08/2016 20:34

Stellar, I write my menu for the week, then just compile a shopping list from that.
It helps me if I know what I'm eating for each day: only have to think about it once, then it's committed to paper, and I just follow that menu from day to day.

BasinHaircut · 18/08/2016 20:41

Evening all! Remember me?

I am returning......

BasinHaircut · 18/08/2016 20:42

positive just read your post. Hope your DD and future grandchild are ok

Stellar67 · 18/08/2016 20:44

Thanks Chough. Almost done with my meals. I'm thinking about snacks. But I've put fruit and carrots.

chough · 18/08/2016 20:50

Stellar, my snacks apart from fruit would be crisps or popcorn as I'm a savoury tooth.
You might like chocolate. A Curly Wurly is good value at 6 syns.
See what you fancy in the supermarket: crisps, chocolate, etc has no free food allowance, so allow 1 syn per 20 calories.

EmilyK83 · 18/08/2016 21:25

Em, that's amazing, well done! Totally deserved!

You're welcome Positive - hope everything with your DD2 goes ok, big hugs.

Welcome back Basin! How's things?

SP day today has been surprisingly ok - I hated SP when I did it last time. Still have a B choice left, and I've only had 7.5 syns today. Feeling good!

froubylou · 18/08/2016 21:47

Oh Positive what a worrying time for you. Don't beat yourself up if you go off plan. Keep your fluid and energy levels up to get through the next few weeks xxx

Nothing to report here other than I missed Wi again. Sigh. My scales show a 1lb loss though so thats good anyway. So if I stay in control next week should be good.

Am bloody knackered. Been out since 8am at ponies and a big park with a city farm etc.

I also got chatted up so having it as a NSV. Haven't been chatted up or flirted with for about 3 years so will take that!

ALemonyPea · 18/08/2016 21:50

How worrying for you Positive. I hope your DD and her baby doing ok.

BasinHaircut · 19/08/2016 06:39

Thanks Emily, not bad but on the weight loss front not good! Lost a stone on here at the beginning of the year but 11lb has gone back on Blush things here were just too chaotic to focus on SW but we are pretty much sorted now, house (and most importantly kitchen) is all finished.

I've just read the last coupe of pages and I see that you are 4lbs from target! Wow!

And em woman of the year! AMAZING!

Hi to everyone else, some names I recognise, and some new. I'm starting again on Tuesday next week as I'm away sat-mon but am going to do a meal plan and big shop on Monday night and read the books again to refresh.

Checking in at 11st 12lbs

EmilyK83 · 19/08/2016 07:19

Ooh glad the kitchen's finished - and you'll have no trouble getting that 11lb and more off I'm sure - you can do it! Yep, 4lb to go, aiming to do it in 2 weeks but think that may be pushing it a bit, haha!

Attempting another SP day today, as it fits in nicely with a long car journey we have to make later...

B - eggs, baked beans, spinach
L - mixed bean goulash, salad
D - ham and laughing cow extra light (1) sandwich on first HexB bread, carrot sticks, fruit and second HexB Benefit Light bars on our car journey

Skinny latte at the service station as my HexA. Finished yesterday on 8 syns, aiming for around 10 today...

derikthesheep · 19/08/2016 10:04

Hi all, I've been doing slimming world for a couple of months, can I join in? I'm a bit up and down with the weight loss. I lost nicely at the beginning but I gained last week and I've stalled

moomoo1967 · 19/08/2016 13:14

Thanks chough I bought the Brand one this week so shall look at the low syn one next week, I do the same as you meal plan then write a shopping list. Thanks for the list Emily
Well done Em and Puppy
I am going to try and do a chart/ spreadsheet for meals and snacks so that when I am doing the weekly meal plan I can just choose from that, I am hoping it will be quicker. Those who don't have an Iceland close to them I think the radius for home delivery is 10 miles, order £35+ and free delivery, also good for fruit and veg though not as good as Lidl. They have just started doing spirilised courgette and butternut squash at £1 each

ALemonyPea · 19/08/2016 14:53

Welcome back Basin, and welcome Derik.

So miserable here today, makes me just want to at,I've already had 12 syns 🐷

B: fruit and yoghurt
D: SW chicken chow mein
T: Ham and egg salad (maybe)
Snacks: tuc crackers with hea cheese, hifi bar for HEB, mikado

Karlakitten1 · 19/08/2016 14:56

Thinking of starting slimming world, heard loads of good things and it does sound easy to follow. What are extra easy sp days etc? Any tips for a newbie? I don't go to a group, not enough time with work and an 8 month old!

Karlakitten1 · 19/08/2016 14:58

I'm 5 ft 3 and 12st 6...feel massive.

derikthesheep · 19/08/2016 15:04

So I kinda lost the plot.
B:Greek yoghurt cranberries (frozen not dried) and blueberries
Sushi (homemade no sugar) had a bit of avocado in and some sesame seeds but can't figure how to syn it. Was about 3 slim slices
Diet coke
Tried some of the cous cous and roast veg that I made for tomorrow. It's done with spray oil Do you ever have to syn spray oil?
Then I made chocolate cake with my boys and ate spoonfuls of batter Blush. No idea how to syn that
So frustrated with myself!

ALemonyPea · 19/08/2016 15:53

Do you have the books or are you doing it online Karla?

SP days are when you only eat foods that have an S or P next to them in the books, you also get an extra HEB as well. You should have half P half S on your plate for you main meals as well.

WingDefence · 19/08/2016 18:31

Hi all - hope everything is okay for your DD Positive?

Welcome newbies and returnee Basin!

B today 2x weetabix plus banana (run out of speed fruit) hex b and milk hex a
L McDonald's grilled chicken and bacon salad with no dressing 1.5 syns. Plus 4 or 5 small stolen fries from DD. Calling that 1 syn since a whole happy meal bag is 8 syns.
D jacket potato with tin of Heinz curried beans, salad and 1tbsp mango chutney. 1.5 syns.
Plus some haribo starmix in the cinema. Overestimating at 4 syns so 8 so far today.

Karlakitten1 · 19/08/2016 20:25

I don't have anything at the moment, do I definitley need the books/or do it online?x

Karlakitten1 · 19/08/2016 20:26

Whoops..sorry about the kiss! Bad texting habit!Blush

froubylou · 19/08/2016 20:41

Karla if you haven't done it before then definitely try and get hold of a recent book to explain everything. Or do it online if you can't get to group.

Had a rubbish day but not too bothered as will be shopping tomorrow and back on it hard.

Had a tun and cucumber sandwich earlier from Gregs. It was on wholemeal bread but had mayo in I think. Then had fish, chips and mushy peas from chippy for tea. I removed the bafter to make the fish free. But then ate it anyway. Sigh.

New day tomorrow though.

WingDefence · 19/08/2016 20:43

Karla I'm doing it online and if you can't get to groups I'd say it's a good option although I get the social SW side of things on here or Facebook.

Imo you need at least the books as you need the syn amounts etc. It does take a few weeks to get the plan into your head but then it's just like second nature.

chough · 19/08/2016 20:43

frouby, just read about you removing the batter from your fish, and thought," Wow, I couldn't do that".
Felt better when I read your next sentence.

WingDefence · 19/08/2016 20:44

Cross-post with you frouby! Oh I miss those delicious greggs chunky sandwiches from when I used to work near one. Happy sigh...
