Well done Batman. Did you get your 7lb award then with a shiny sticker?

How is your cat Toblerone?

manicpixiestargirl · 17/08/2016 22:34

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining in. Been lurking for a while, you're all so lovely to each other and there are some really good ideas on here! I've been doing SW for 7 weeks now and have lost 1st 5.5lb so far...

Today was:
B - Muller Light and 2 clementines
L - BBQ chicken pieces from Tesco (0.5) with salad, 2 tbsp light honey mustard dressing (1)
D - potato skins with fat free fromage frais, smoked salmon and spring onion, with HEA cheese, plus salad with 2 tbsp balsamic glaze dressing (3)

No HEB choice today, getting a bit bored with the HiFi bars and trying to avoid bread (no self control) so a bit stuck some days?

froubylou · 18/08/2016 07:12

Morning all

Missed Wi yesterday as dd had a riding lesson and not 100% sure I will make it to tonight's either as we are out for the day and I will probably be knackered.

Yesterday was an ok day food wise.

B. Coffee
L. An apple
T. Chicken breast wrapped in parma ham, jacket potato and salad. Few syns for coleslaw and flora, 2 small g and ts. Forgot to have my B choice though.

Today will be picnic lunch and not sure on tea. Out while late so might be chip shop jobby.

EmilyK83 · 18/08/2016 07:26

Well done Batman, that's brilliant!

Really sorry about your cat Toblerone, big hugs

Hi Manic! Nice loss so far! How about dried fruit or nuts for your B choice - or cooked fruit? Or a tin of soup...bear in mind that the list of tinned soups that count as a HexB that are in the book is out of date, though - the app has different ones...

WingDefence · 18/08/2016 09:48

Welcome Manic (I use my HexB on cereal - chocolate shreddies make a good snack dipped in yoghurt!) and well done Batman!

I went ove rmy syns a little bit at our BBQ last night. The reduced fat burgers and sausages were delicious so I had two each of those for 10 syns total (amazing - we don't have an iceland nearby so I can't get the SW free burgers) and then nibbled on some breadsticks and dips and had ketchup. But 19 syns in one day isn't too bad so I don't mind for what was a great evening :)

Today B shreddies 35g hex B plus ss milk hex A and strawberries speed. L salad with leftover free chicken and butternut squash risotto from the other night.
D not sure yet! Should be on plan though :)

EmilyK83 · 18/08/2016 09:49

Determined to shift the last 4lb as quickly as possible. Trying a SP day today...

B - scrambled egg, first HexB toast, spinach
L - not sure. Maybe a Subway salad - 3 syns for olives and honey and mustard dressing
D - chilli con carne with HexA cheese and loads of speed veg

Benefit bar as my second HexB, probably a Fibre One brownie as a treat in the evening for 4 syns.

Finished yesterday on 7.5 syns...

Sixpencenonethericher · 18/08/2016 10:01

Morning all I put on 3 pound , but birthday and time of the month never mind , I'll be good today but we're going for a meal tonight to celebrate Dd's a level results

moomoo1967 · 18/08/2016 11:44

Hi loving all your ideas on here, really helping to keep me on plan. This is my second week on SW and I lost 2.5lbs so quite good for the first week I guess even with going off plan on Sunday and Monday as I was so busy. Finding it hard to get rid of all the food I shouldn't be eating but I am not going to waste stuff. As I use it I will replace with healthier options. I have also realised that organisation is key Grin
Lovely friendly thread

moomoo1967 · 18/08/2016 11:45

Sixpence well done on DD A Level results. It will be me this time next week with DD GCSE results Smile

Sixpencenonethericher · 18/08/2016 11:52

Thanks we've got the maths next week

WingDefence · 18/08/2016 13:52

Well done/good luck to all those getting results today or next week!

Sixpence sounds like a busy time of year for celebrations :) Well done moomoo!

ALemonyPea · 18/08/2016 14:02

Welcome newbies.

Moomoo, my first few weeks I spent are too much on foods I should be eating and then didn't. Once you get in to the swing of SW you'll know exactly what you like and don't.

Been to an outdoor water park with the DC today, lovely and hot here.

B: porridge and fruit
D: ham and pease pudding, orange, pufts 3.5 syns
T: sausage and mash with veg. Using philli in my mash for hea

moomoo1967 · 18/08/2016 15:15

thanks gals Grin I spent double what I usually spend on groceries, I was a tad aghast. Here's hoping that the good weather holds out as DD goes to V Festival tomorrow, first time away with friends and no appropriate adult Grin swinging between hoping she has a fantastic time and being nervous

chough · 18/08/2016 15:52

Lemony and moomoo, I think I would spend a lot less on food if DH and I didn't follow Slimming World.
Sometimes I've bought about £10 worth of raspberries.
Yes, there are plenty of budget- friendly SW meals, but I think it would be cheaper to eat an unhealthy diet.

moomoo1967 · 18/08/2016 16:18

I totally agree with you chough I am well known as a Penny Pincher and bargain finder, I spent £47 in Lidl and £35 in Tesco and that was without any alcohol Sad Usually I would spend about £35-£40 in Lidl each week

moomoo1967 · 18/08/2016 16:31

Hi again - does anyone know if there is a database in which I can input how many Syns I may have left and it bring up for example any food items that have 2 Syns or 4 Syns ?

chough · 18/08/2016 16:35

Don't know of a database, moomoo, but there's a small book available at group which lists low- syn snack foods; it's only a couple of pounds, and I think it's updated every year.

Well done on the loss Batman and well done Sixpence'sDD on the A Level results was it really 21 years ago I fucked mine up? Damn

I AM WOMAN OF THE YEAR! I was bloody astounded...you could've knocked me down with a feather. The certificate is about to go on my awards wall and the lovely lily-in-a-pot has gone to work (because I have cats at home and cats and lilies don't mix). Also lost a lb, taking my total loss to 3 stone 1 lb, and 13 lbs to target.

I know what you mean about it being so expensive. I mis-counted my fruit this week and ran out of pears today (I have an apple, a pear and a couple of satsumas with lunch every day). I forgot to go to the supermarket on the way home so nipped to the little Tesco. FIFTY-FIVE PENCE for a conference pear. One Pear. I can buy six from Asda for a quid. The manager was doing the fruit reductions when I nearly had a heart attack and as they didn't have any multi-bags (which are still dearer than Asda but never mind) he yellow stickered me a couple.

puppydogmummy · 18/08/2016 19:26

Woo hoo! 3.5lbs off And I got my first stone award! Had to change weigh day as had emergency vet appointment (feel your pain toblerone). Am now stuffing my face with veg stew n pasta , we're in for a windy night here later💨

chough · 18/08/2016 19:26

Congratulations, em, on your Woman of the Year award.
What a great boost to help you on the last lap towards your target.

maygirl · 18/08/2016 20:21

Everyone's doing so well, I need you strong ones to slow down my wagon so I can get back on it, lol! Seriously lost any motivation and indulging in emotional eating. Missed weigh in but went to gym instead. Today hasn't been too bad though, not enough speed but within syns
B heB porridge, heA milk, honey 1 syn
Nectarine. Few berries
L cod, pasta, tomatoes, philli lite 2 syns
D h/m chicken curry, spinach, carrots, rice.
Pimms 5 syns

Picnic tomorrow, have made egg muffins to take with salad and fruit and m+s calamari

Stellar67 · 18/08/2016 20:21

I rejoined tonight after a long time of being off.

Am ready this time. Am writing my shopping list, what shall I add? Like curries and Italian, not keen on muller lights (I know).

IneedAdinosaurNickname · 18/08/2016 20:23

Hi! Can I join you? I joined sw 8 weeks ago but haven't been to weigh in for 2 weeks (shift worker plus a holiday). I was 1st 1lb down at last weigh in. Just need to lose another 7st Confused

ALemonyPea · 18/08/2016 20:25

Well done Em! You deserve it.
