Well done on the loss, Lemony Emily and Batman and super-duper congratulations Emily you're going to make a fabulous consultant.

Today's food:

B: Muffins
L: Ham salad, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Chicken noodle stir fry
HEA: Milk
HEB: Either ryvita (with cottage cheese) or hifi bars, not sure yet what I'll be in the mood for.

ALemonyPea · 16/08/2016 18:45

Wishing, strong wholemeal flour is 4 syns for 25g

Sorry Batman, missed your post. Well, done on the loss. Care to post what you've had for today so we can maybe help?

noodlezoodle · 16/08/2016 19:23

Well done emily and lemony! Emily you're going to make a great consultant, congratulations.

Welcome batman, 2lbs is not to be sneezed at, well done Smile

WingDefence · 16/08/2016 20:28

Thanks for posting the other link ALemon!

I'm being very good today and even tracking the four fruit pastilles I had earlier! 0.5 each which isn't too bad really.

Tonight I chose a bag of quavers (4.5) over small bottle of Stella (5.5) - it really is brilliant how low syn some treats can be :)

MollyRedskirts · 16/08/2016 21:10

That's fabulous news Emily!

I'm going to give bran muffins a try. I had a hi-fi light for the other half of my B. Oddly, I never considered making savoury bran muffins. I was thinking about sweet ones. Going to do both!

MollyRedskirts · 16/08/2016 21:12

Oh, and if anyone is missing proper cauliflower cheese, I can confirm throwing cauliflower in with a macaroni pasta n sauce (1.5 syns), and topping it with your A of cheese, comes pretty close.

ALemonyPea · 16/08/2016 21:16

That's not a bad syn value for fruit pastilles. Might buy some mini tubes if I can find some.

My wedding rings don't fit now. I took them off last week as had some horrible dry skin under them, and now they're so loose, I'm scared I'll lose them. Think I'll have to get them resized when I get to target. Have a thing about not wearing them though, don't want people thinking I'm too fat to be married, or wanted by someone. Sounds quite pathetic really.

WingDefence · 16/08/2016 21:22

That isn't pathetic at all! I feel odd without mine on (used to have to take all jewellery off for netball, don't play now though!). Try getting some micro pore or fabric plaster strip and just put a small strip of the sticky stuff around the back of the ring to hold it in place?

ALemonyPea · 16/08/2016 21:30

That's not a bad idea! Didn't think of that, thanks.

WingDefence · 16/08/2016 21:53

I've done it with a ring of my GM that is too big for me. And I get the dry skin thing too, usually when I've changed soap and not been making sure it's 100% washed off.

PositiveAttitude · 17/08/2016 07:28

Well done on all the loses!! And congratulations Emily You will be a really good consultant - you are so encouraging and knowledgeable on here.

WI last night and 2.5lb off! Well chuffed. I do not have a clue what happened last week when it was only 0.5, but that is 3lb in 2 weeks, so I will go with that! Also got my 1.5stone award. DD1 put on 3.5 lb and was dead gutted, so we did not stay to group. so I missed out on my round of applause I am finding it hard to get her back on track. She has PCOS and finds the losing weight so hard, but she puts on so easily (as last week's gain shows). Any tips for someone with PCOS. I know she needs to do this herself and i can't do it for her - I only joined SW because she lacks confidence and would not go alone - she persuaded me to go and now it is all the other way around.

Today's plan:
B - Strawberries, yogurt and 2 scanbran sprinkled on top (Part of HE B)
L - Left over pilchard pie * Broccoli from last nights dinner - cheese topped HE A
D - Chicken & Veg sweet chilli stir fry with noodles. Pudding white chocolate minute cake (2.5syns)

Extra Syns - Pack of Aldi "curly fries" 3.5syns and plenty left for a treat tonight.
Not sure on rest of HE B, but maybe a HiFi bar this evening, or a slice of toast.
Also loads of fruit in the fruit bowl ready for snacking.

I seem to be eating loads more than some of you, but I am still losing, so I will carry on as I am.

Have a good day everyone.

PositiveAttitude · 17/08/2016 07:32

Losses not loses. Oooops!! Blush

Also, I meant to say, Lemony that you can buy (very cheaply) a ring insert thingy that you put in the ring to make it a smaller size. It isn't noticeable unless you really look and does the trick really well. Might suit for a temporary measure, anyway.

EmilyK83 · 17/08/2016 08:15

Thanks all - and well done Positive! Not sure about PCOS sorry, definitely worth googling if there are certain foods that can affect weight loss with it...

Went out for a 3 course meal and a cocktail last night, so need to be good the rest of the week!

Today will be:

B - fruit and yoghurt
L - Quorn steak, homemade syn-free BBQ sauce, veg
D - Lasagne with HexA cheese, salad

Hifi bars as HexB, no more than 5 syns of treats in the evening...

ALemonyPea · 17/08/2016 09:28

I have PCOS. What helps me is eating more veg than fruit, only having carbs with one meal (excluding HEB) and trying not to gave sweet thing every day in my syns. Sugar is the main culprit with PCOS as turns straight into fat and harder to lose. I feel for her, especially as a symptom of PCOS is carving carbs and sugar all the time.

ALemonyPea · 17/08/2016 09:33

Oh and well done on your loss and award.

ALemonyPea · 17/08/2016 09:33

That should say craving btw

WingDefence · 17/08/2016 12:57

Well done Positive and I hope ALemon's advice helps your DD.

B overnight oats with strawbs and bluebs and cherry muller light.
L leftover veg curry from yesterday
D BBQ with friends coming over (on the one nice evening of the year - this summer has been the WORST where I live Angry). Will make SW chips, salad and avoid the dips and crisps, buns etc. I bought some reduced fat burgers and sausages amongst all the usual ones so hopefully just having one each of those plus chicken drumsticks without the skin will mean not too many syns.

WingDefence · 17/08/2016 12:59

Ooh yes have just looked up the syns of the sainsbury's red fat burgers and sausages and they are both only 2.5 syns each! Result!! Might have a beer as well then!

I love SW Grin

PositiveAttitude · 17/08/2016 13:47

Thanks for the info about PCOS. When the time is right I will pass that on to her.
Enjoy the BBQ Wing. I have a BBQ planned for Sunday for DH's birthday, but the weather is supposed to be horrible here by then, after weeks of really nice weather.

Saturday I am off to London for the day to attend my daughter's baby shower party. Will be a very early boat in the morning and hope to be back in time for the last boat at night or we (DD1 & I) will end up having to stay overnight. Could be a bad day plan-wise, so I must do some planning!

wishingchair1 · 17/08/2016 14:09

Yesterday.

B. Wheatbran hexc, ff yoghurt and strawberries
L. Merchant gourmet pit lentils with sundried tomato. 3.5 syn delicious.
D. Vegetables (oh faffing about so couldn't be bothered by time it was to eat. Plus the wine had kicked in. I lost 40 pounds unfortunately of the wrong variety maybe karma will be kind on mondays weigh in.
Wine several syns.....

Today.
B. Wheatbran hexb and ff yoghurt
L. Pastansauce and salad
D. Not sure yet still have some veg and jp from last night but depends on how late i am in work.

Thanks for the flour info. I think i will have a go with the bread maker and see what wheat bran and bread flour concotion looks like. I would love to be able to make a pizza base with it at the weekend.

TobleroneBoo · 17/08/2016 14:11

I havent been on for a while and have been terrible really :(

My cat is off to the vets tonight and I am very worried and everyone at work is getting on my tits - what treat can i pick up from the little Sainsburys next to my work? I have about 8 syns to play with

WingDefence · 17/08/2016 14:47

Sorry to read about your cat Toblerone Flowers

Have you seen the links ALemon and I posted yesterday afternoon? Sets out lots of snacks and their syn values so you may find inspiration.

ALemonyPea · 17/08/2016 16:55

Inspired by your link yesterday Wink, I've ordered some Mikado in my weekly shop as they're only 0.5 syns each.

My sister was here today, and as we usually do we went to Greggs. I didn't buy anything but made myself a fry up instead. I want to be in the 13 stones by Christmas if possible, or the low 14s. I'm nearly in the 14s, so fingers crossed.

B: fruit and yoghurt
D: Bacon medallions, mushrooms, scrambled eggs with a dash of milk, tinned tomatoes. Was going to do fried bread for my HEB, but it doesn't work with fry light, so ended up having a hifi bar.
T: spaghetti bolognese with cheese for hea.
Had a little lemon cake for 5.5 syns and might have some pufts as well.

wishingchair1 · 17/08/2016 20:42

Well my pizza dough is on the go.

I have used a 180 ground up wheat bran (3 days hexb) 320 wholemeal flour and some dried yeast. So in theory, i hope to get at least 6 portions for pizza base out of it (will freeze individual dough portions) 4.4 call it 5 syns for the base.
Pizza express passata/ hexa portion of low low cheddar
Jalapenos onions and mushrooms.

My in theory friday night dinner / watching friday night dinner.
It's going to be dire. Lucky oh getting it too as he has recently adapted his eating habits, thought about it, lost loads whilst thinking about it.

NotSayingImBatman · 17/08/2016 21:49

Hope your cat is okay Toblerone Sad

Back from my second WI and it's 5lb off for me so very pleased with that.

Breakfast was 2 x jaffa cake Alpen bars and some melon.

Snack was a carrot and some seafood sticks.

Lunch was a big salad packed full of speed with tuna (1 syn for extra light mayo).

Tea was chicken stuffed with light mozzarella and wrapped in bacon with no fat, cubed potatoes roasted in herbs and garlic with a spray of frylight, baby corn and mange tout.
