Yeah, that's the hardest thing about it, I find. I can have a wonderful day of meals planned and then have no energy to make them. I've started batch cooking a bit more and my plan is to have a stash of ready-portioned meals that can be defrosted and microwaved. It doesn't help that my eldest has an ASC and is very restricted with the food he finds acceptable (beige potato and chicken products mainly), so quite often I'll cater for him and the baby and have no energy left to do mine. I'm working on it though, I have a massive stash of pasta n sauce and frozen veg, so quite often DH will do that for me when he comes home from work.

I'm not beating myself up if I don't stay on plan today. Ironically, with it being my five year anniversary since being diagnosed with breast cancer - I am going bra shopping. It's my only chance before DH is back in work, so I'm under strict instructions to enjoy wandering around and to have a coffee.

ALemonyPea · 09/08/2016 11:53

Well done losers.

2.5lbs off! I'm gobsmacked. 2lb to go to get my 3 stone award.

moomoo1967 · 09/08/2016 12:21

Hi everyone, I have been advised to try to lose weight by my GP as I have developed a back problem after a fall last year. I have my first SW meeting tonight and am feeling quite nervous. My BMI when the doctor checked was a very unhealthy 34 so am doing this mainly for health reasons.

EmilyK83 · 09/08/2016 12:22

Well done gadget and lemony - that's amazing!

So happy this morning. 3lb off somehow, meaning I got my 4.5 stone award (4st 9lb in total), now weigh exactly 10 stone and have 5lb to go to target! I'm buzzing!

Today's plan:

B - none (weigh in)
L - ham, eggs and salad
D - out for a review meal tonight, will try and choose SW friendly options

Skinny latte as HexA on my way to my consultant interview later (eep!!), not sure about HexB yet...

moomoo1967 · 09/08/2016 12:30

hi could anyone explain the abbreviations for me ? HeB etc

EmilyK83 · 09/08/2016 13:09

Heb = healthy extra b, Hea = healthy extra a :)

chough · 09/08/2016 15:33

moomoo, good luck with your first SW meeting tonight.
Please don't be nervous: I'm sure you'll have a friendly welcome.
If I'm too late in the day to wish Emily good luck with the consultant interview, I hope it went well.

EmilyK83 · 09/08/2016 15:51

Thanks Chough! On the train up there now...weirdly not nervous at all, but excited!!

Ooh, meant to say, I also got nominated for woman of the year in group today - voting's next week apparently! I'm guessing I'm going to have to say something in front of everyone next week?! :-/

chough · 09/08/2016 16:13

Emily, your SW knowledge and enthusiasm shines through even on this little corner of MN: I think your interviewers will be impressed with you.
Your fellow group members must feel inspired by you, as they've nominated you for Woman of the Year, and yes, you'll have to stand up and say your bit!

froubylou · 09/08/2016 16:28

Hello all

Feeling really ropey here. Had white toast and jam this morning just to give me energy to take the kids riding.

Haven't had anything since and not sure what I will be able to stomach tonight. Am thinking a jacket potato and beans possibly. Wi tomorrow morning so trying to stay on plan as much as I can as I missed last week and have been very off plan.

moomoo1967 · 09/08/2016 16:29

Thank you Chough thanks Emily and good luck with your interview

chough · 09/08/2016 16:32

frouby, hope you're feeling better soon.

EmilyK83 · 09/08/2016 18:14

Seemed to go well! Should apparently hear back from them by the end of the week!

chough · 09/08/2016 18:17

Glad it went well, Emily.
Keep us posted.

ALemonyPea · 09/08/2016 18:31

Hope you're feeling better Frouby.

Well done on your award Emily. You're doing so well.

I've been out all day, hence my rushed WI update earlier. Lots of walking involved.

B: orange and hifi bar after WI as was going out for the day
D: jacket potato with beans and salad
T: leftover tuna pasta bake, corn on the cob
Syns spent on a mr Kipling lemon slice for 5.5 syns

ALemonyPea · 09/08/2016 18:32

Oh, and a funny NSV today, I've had to take my Birkenstock sandal steals in one notch Grin

ALemonyPea · 09/08/2016 18:32

Steals = straps

chough · 09/08/2016 19:22

Well done, Lemony, losing weight from your feet!

Twinklestar2 · 09/08/2016 19:39

Well done to all the losers (!), hello to the newbies andFlowers to those who need them.

I've been MIA. My TOTM arrived and I just needed to step away from thinking about food all the time.

Back on it tomorrow though Smile.

EmilyK83 · 09/08/2016 20:09

Thanks Chough and Lemony! Haha Lemony that's an awesome NSV!

My dinner plans fell through, booooo. Instead I'm having a 1 syn ready meal from Asda, plus a ton of veg.

OrianaBanana · 09/08/2016 20:24

Still here although wildly off plan! Going to weigh in tomorrow and see how much I put on on holiday (also 5 months + pregnant). I just find it so hard without the weekly scale motivation but I'll keep going!

Also been nominated for woman of the year Shock I don't know why and what I'm going to say tomorrow but it's a lovely thought from someone. Smile Makes me want to get back on track but I've gone off a lot of food (like eggs) and don't have much energy for preparing fresh stuff. I should though, my trousers are getting tight (in the wrong places lol).

PositiveAttitude · 09/08/2016 20:43

This page has loaded wierdly on my laptop, so I can't see who is posting what and it is all a bit jumbled Hmm so Thanks to those who need them and well done to you losers! Grin

WI tonight and I am disappointed with a 0.5lb loss. Yesterday on my scales I was at least a 1.5lb loss which would have got me my 1.5 stone certificate on week 8. I have kept to plan and not done anything daft, so dont really understand it, but maybe next week will make up for it.

Very inspired by our nominees tonight. Lovely ladies were nominated and all said their bit about how, why etc....all very positive and great to hear. After 8 weeks I feel as if I am beginning to feel welcomed into the group a bit more and I spoke to a couple of ladies tonight for the first time. This is not anything against the group - I am shy and reserved and I wont make the first move to speak to people normally, so I am pleased I have broken some ice tonight as I find the groups really good to keep me on track.
Post WI treats don't count, right? DS is a patisserie chef and he always brings home yummy "extras". Tuesday is the only day I can now indulge just a tiny bit and I have just had a really nice cookie - although my tastes have really changed and I found it ridiculously sweet whereas 8 weeks ago I would not have noticed after eating the 6th one all the size of a tea plate!! No wonder I am the size of a house!!!

WhenTheDragonsCame · 09/08/2016 21:32

First WI tonight and I lost 1lb in the last 2 weeks. Not feeling too disappointed as I spent 2 days at the parents fairly off plan and I think AF is due any day now.

I am camping for 2 nights this weekend. I am planning on taking Slimming world burgers and chicken legs to bbq one night and a batch of syn free bolognaise for the other. Does anyone have any suggestions I can take to keep on track? I want to be as good as I can as we are off to Cadbury world on Monday and I'm not sure I can resist the chocolate!

I think the summer holidays are going to be difficult!

Thank you Emily, hope the interview went well for you.

emwithme · 09/08/2016 21:33

I don't know how those of you with DC manage to do SW during the holidays (although I know that if DN was mine, I'd do far more planning and picnic making and wouldn't do ALL THE ATTRACTIONS in one week! But I do love her week here). It is so hard when you have a 10 year old pestering for stuff (and kid attractions are full of all the wrong foods...it is so hard to find a salad or some fruit!)

Had an SP day:

Breakfast: Muesli (HEB1) with quark (watered down a bit to a yoghurty texture)
Lunch: Nandos. Butterfly chicken with salad and macho peas (1/2 portion)
Dinner: Courgette and watercress soup with ryvita (HEB2)
HEA: Milk

I'm a bit confused because I have stopped bleeding (came on yesterday, a week early). It's going to be one of those annoying periods where it's bleed for a day, stop for a day, bleed for a day for two weeks isn't it (I've had them like this on and off since I was a teenager so doctors not concerned but they're just bloody pun absolutely intended annoying). DH is back from his Army Cadetting tomorrow (so being bleedy would be a little annoying, he's been gone 10 days). I am feeling ALL THE RAGE associated with a period though (nearly ran over someone with best mate's baby's pushchair earlier because they were dicking about in the underwater bit in the seal enclosure at Bristol Zoo). Just trying not to dive headfirst into a vat of chocolate (yesterday's sundae was enough -three big scoops of Carte D'Or icecream - I chose mint chocolate, caramel and praline - with Mr Whippy on top, chocolate and raspberry sauces, a wafer and a flake).

I am also feeling rage about people on my group's FB page posting that they're having a "SW bolognaise" or "SW soup". FFS, it's just bolognaise or soup (or whatever). Literally the only difference between the bolognaise I make now and the bolognaise I made before SW is that I use frylight rather than oil.

I really should go to bed, shouldn't I...

WhenTheDragonsCame · 09/08/2016 22:02

I forgot to say what I have eaten.

B = Overnight oats
L = Ham salad with 2 sachets of salad cream at the leisure centre after DD2 had tennis camp
D = Slimming world Singapore noodles

I will probably have an apple and a yoghurt when the DC are eventually in bed (bed time goes to pot during the holidays!)

I am making syn free ice cream but that probably won't be ready until tomorrow.
