Fingers crossed for you Lemony!

Our consultant said that the peanut ones will be discontinued, guess maybe once each consultant's stocks have gone then that's it?

maygirl · 06/08/2016 12:32

WingDefence · 06/08/2016 13:04

Hi all - ouch Emily and hope you get out Lemony. Let us know how the curry recipe goes maygirl?

My DCousin is late - as always! Should've met us in Greenwich park over an hour ago and we are still waiting for her... Got a table reserved in Nandos though which is great and it means I can have lunch on plan!

emwithme · 06/08/2016 15:23

Yes - peanut hifis have been discontinued. The banana milkshake ones are going soon too, but they were only ever a "limited edition". Coming next week (15th, I think) are dark chocolate coconut ones that apparently taste just like a bounty. My consultant thinks the salted caramel ones haven't got long left, but that's not official. As the peanut have gone now, they are the only "big" hifi (6 syns/1 for a HEB) left, the rest are all "hifi light" (3 syns/2 for a HEB).

Today's food (SP day):

Brunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato
Dinner: Courgette and watercress soup
HEA: Milk
HEB1: Ryvita dark rye
HEB2: Hifi bars

I pick up my niece for a week of aunty-niece-seaside-fun tomorrow. We have pizza (Asda make your own) for tomorrow night. I am going to be super-tight on syns (well, except for ice cream at the beach on Monday) to make up for that, and fish and chips on Wednesday night. The other days/nights I'm cooking so am staying as near to plan as I can.

ALemonyPea · 06/08/2016 15:27

😭😭😭😭

I'm not sure how I will cope when they're gone. I loved the lemon meringue ones, they went, and I luuuuurve the peanut ones, I like the size of them much better than the tiny ones.mnot so keen on the caramel ones.

EmilyK83 · 06/08/2016 15:51

Someone bought a crazy number of the banana milkshake ones in our group last week, she's stocking up before they all go!

Thanks for the support all - turns out I have a gum infection, booooo. Bit painful but not bad enough to warrant antibiotics, which is good!

chough · 06/08/2016 16:15

I like the sound of a hifi that tastes like a Bounty.
My favourite hifi flavour ever was a Xmas pudding one, but they disappeared a few years ago.

emwithme · 06/08/2016 17:01

My favourite ever were the dark chocolate and mint ones (big bars, not light). They tasted like after eights and mint matchmakers.

Boo for gum infection Emily hope it clears up soon.

maygirl · 06/08/2016 18:35

Mmm hope the choc coconut hifi are nice, I haven't liked the last 2 new flavours.
Can recommend the lamb jalfrezi recipe. As well as the cumin lime cucumber in the recipe I made some mint yogurt dip using Coleman's mint extract (free), ffyogurt and sweetener.
Finished off with a Muller light choc fix so on 9.5 syns
Out for lunch at friends tomorrow so out of my control, but roasted some veg tonight so can blend up a quick sauce for some pasta if we're late home, to get straight back on plan. Scan brans overnighting too! These had better work lol!!

ALemonyPea · 06/08/2016 20:05

Mmmm choc mint ones would be lush.

I bought the last 6 boxes of nut ones when they were on special. A woman at the group the day before had bought a whole box of them, as in the big box the little boxes come in.

Are the coconut ones light or big bars?

Has anyone tried the sweet and sour chicken yet, or the Sweetcorn soup? Might go get some to try.

Emily, hope your infection goes quickly. Isn't clove meant to help, or is that just tooth ache?

emwithme · 06/08/2016 20:36

The coconut ones are light.

The courgette and watercress soup was bloody delicious and worked well cold as well as hot so the leftovers are in the fridge for easy snacking.

Oh Em that soup looks lovely. Might have to try it!

Was a day totally off plan yesterday. I had 4 x half a lagers and then a thai meal for tea followed by some.dark chocolate. But it's very rare we are all off together and the weather is nice so we had an unofficial holiday day. We aren't going abroad this year so having day trips instead.

Today has been good today.

Breakfast as.mushroom omelette with 1/2 tin of tomatoes.

Tea was bbq food with salad. No bread or sausages or burgers. Plenty of salad.

Probably over in booze with a couple of pimms and a couple of gins but could have been worse!

EmilyK83 · 06/08/2016 23:49

Friend's wedding reception done. Two small tacos, a small slice of wedding cake and about a third of a scoop of ice cream. Stuck to Diet Coke all night. Want this award on Tues! Deliberately wore a dress with a tight belt so I wouldn't be tempted to eat too much, haha!

emwithme · 07/08/2016 10:22

Up early (for me) on a Sunday because I've got to drive a 300 mile round trip to get my niece for our summer holibobs! We've been doing this for 4 years now (started to help her mum out so she had a week's less childcare to pay for) and we both really look forward to it. It's a week of very expensive fun!

Today's food:

Breakfast: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato
Dinner: Pizza Blush but in my defence, it is only a small pizza, it is topped with speed veggies only, and I'm not eating it with a metric fuckton of coleslaw and potato salad and chips, I'm just having the pizza.

I did have a sneaky mid-week weigh this morning, it's showing a 3 lb loss. Let's see how much of that is left on Thursday after a day at the beach only 500 metres from my house, but that's not the point a day at the zoo and a day shopping! I'm thinking I'm going to maintain this week - and that's fine. I am having a life while I lose this weight.

16.5 lbs to target. I want it by Halloween.

EmilyK83 · 07/08/2016 10:41

Wow long trip em! Keeping everything crossed for you for weigh in too!

My plans for today:

B - skinny latte as HexA, fruit, yoghurt
L - egg mayo (1 syn) sandwiches on HexB bread, carrot and chickpea salad
D - chilli con carne, rice and salad

Will try and keep the syns low again today to account for wedding celebrations yesterday - scales still looking ok for my 4.5 stone award this morning, though...

froubylou · 07/08/2016 14:36

Have a good trip Em. I agree with you about having a life. And I think it is ok to pause things for a while to do planned days out and stuff.

B. Pear and a banana
L. Great big pub sunday roast. Fuck ton of veg though. 2 small roast potatoes, small portion of mash, small yorkshire pud. Will count 10 syns all in I think.
T. Probably soup or pate on ryvitas. Something free anyway.

ALemonyPea · 07/08/2016 18:33

Have a lovely week Em. You sound like a lovely aunt.

It's DS2's birthday tomorrow, so have had a little tea party today for him. Had 13.5 syns worth of goodies, enjoyed every morsel.

B: Fruit, yoghurt, the very last peanut hifi bar 😭
D: pork chops, broccoli cheese, cauliflower, green beans, gravy. Had potatoes on my plate but didn't like them, they were very dry.
T: party food, maybe have a salad in a bit.

maygirl · 07/08/2016 21:53

Happy birthday lemonyDS! I've got my DS's bday coming up soon, its always a danger zone for me making their cakes and all the treat food in the house. He wants a pizza party at home.
Visiting friends today so not really on plan.
Overnight scans day 4, nectarine,

Body pump class .
Roast dinner and dessert at friend's. Avoided joining in with the ice creams when out with all our kids
Stopped for pub dinner on way home as getting late, just had a starter of halloumi salad but picked at DC food a bit too much, had a small wine. Hungry and craving crap now. Can feel the effects of not enough speed foods!

tabulahrasa · 07/08/2016 22:12

The sweetcorn chowder is really nice - whoever asked...

VashtaNerada · 08/08/2016 06:26

Hi everyone. I've been doing SW for 12 weeks and have lost nearly a stone. On holiday at the moment and seem to have completely lost the plot!!! Lunch and dinner options in the hotel are all massively inappropriate (lunch = sandwiches or burger & chips or pizza; dinner = three course meal with loads of sauces and things). My willpower has been crap and I'm being tempted by the amazing buffet at breakfast and the biscuits in the room too Shock Does anyone have any tips to stop me regaining all the weight I worked so hard to lose???

WingDefence · 08/08/2016 07:36

Lost just a pound at WI so back to pre holiday weight. Bit frustrating as I still need 0.5lb for my two stone award but I am determined to smash it this week!

I'm sure that the less you have to lose the slower it goes Angry

EmilyK83 · 08/08/2016 09:52

Hi Vashta! Guess my only tip for holiday would be to make sure you have as much speed and free food as you can to fill up before tackling the synned stuff - and to enjoy it! SW is a lifestyle change rather than a diet, so as long as you can get straight back on it when you get back, it's all good!

Well done Wing, that's great!

My plan for today:

B - satsumas and yoghurt
L - ham, fried eggs, veg
D - homemade burgers, SW chips and salad

Skinny latte as HexA, Alpen Lights as HexB

10 syns yesterday, aiming for around the same today. Will no doubt syn some cheese on tonight's food, and probably some froyo afterwards...

MollyRedskirts · 08/08/2016 10:41

I need a kick up the arse. I missed weigh in on Saturday as I was too knackered to get ready in time and didn't have enough energy to push through that, and still go out with my family (medical crap - I suffer from fatigue). So, we all had a family day out and I was off plan, but it wasn't too bad.

I was 100% on plan yesterday but I'm struggling today, despite not having eaten anything yet. Today is the anniversary of my granddad's death and tomorrow is my 'cancerversary' - five years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm fine now, but it always makes me feel ALL the emotions, which makes me want to eat all the food.

Boot me up the arse! Remind me I'm stronger than the lure of haribo!

ALemonyPea · 08/08/2016 10:57

Not going to boot you up the arse Molly, but might give you a gentle prod.

You're allowed a few days off when feeling emotional, so don't feel bad for going off plan. Draw a line under it and start again, but perhaps wait until Wednesday when you're head will hopefully be more in the rite place.

Going to mix my HEBs this week, seeing as I've no more peanut hifi bars left.

B: porridge with half HEA milk, fruit
D: vegetable and ham omelette
T: tuna pasta bake with salad, might add a few more syns for cheese

maygirl · 08/08/2016 11:03

Flowers and Brew rather than a kick Molly. Be kind and gentle to yourself. Its understandable. Can u make some on plan comfort foods, or SW haribo?!
Plan for today
D5 o/n scan heB with berries and choc shot 0.5 syn. Half heA milk in coffee
Zumba
Melon
L omelette and salad, other half heA cheese
Fruit
D turkey and pepper goulash from this months mag. With cauli/celariac mash, going SP to try and 'repair' yesterday.
