I missed Wi. My own fault. Thought it was 5.30 so pitched up at 5.35 to find the meeting in full swing. Couldn't wait as ds is a twoligan and according to some one else who also turned up a few minutes late she goes on from 5.30pm until 6.30pm ish.

No wonder I don't stay. That's far too long imo. And there are no groups locally tomorrow. There is one Saturday morning I might be able to get to so might go there instead.

Todays plan.

B. Coffee
L. 4 x ryvitas rye and the last of my mackerel pate
T. Left over shepherds pie I think. Dp is not keen so going to the chippy I think. I am going to stay on plan and eat second hand food.

But it will probably be nicer than chip shop!

And I survived the bike ride! 2 miles I did. Not bad for a pushing 40 fat lass! And only my arse hurts not my legs anymore.

Might not be able to walk tomorrow though!

puppydogmummy · 04/08/2016 21:03

Love this time of night, filling in my SW journal and reading updated on our wee chat Smile

sglodion · 04/08/2016 22:53

Thanks for the welcome. My nn means chips in Welsh WingDefence Blush
Good day today, had boiled eggs and spinach for breakfast, leftover chilli con carne for lunch and made sw turkey burgers with lots of speed for tea used my heb on the roll. They weren't amazing but they filled a gap! Had a curly wurly and some cheese on my burger for syns.

Miraculously I feel less hungry than usual. This time of night I'd usually be polishing off a packet of biscuits dipped in tea - they're 5 syns each! When you look closely like that it's no wonder I've piled the weight on!

EmilyK83 · 05/08/2016 07:28

Welcome newbies!

So, I survived the new restaurant launch party last night...had half a pint of beer and a couple of nibbles, which probably put me over 15 syns.

Today and tomorrow I'm out again, it's a challenging week for SW!

B - fruit
L - out at a local cafe - going to try and find something as low syn as possible
D - Heinz lentil dhal with rice and veg

Skinny latte as HexA, not sure about HexB. Possibly Alpen Lights...

Unthoughtknown · 05/08/2016 07:57

Ha love the nn sglodion mm chips

I had a 1.5 loss this week, very happy and 4.5lbs to target.

We have a taster session in group next week. Any suggestions of something I can take?

EmilyK83 · 05/08/2016 08:11

Well done Unthought! You'll be at target in no time!

How about smoked salmon pate? Blitz up smoked salmon with a tub of quark and some lemon juice and dill or parsley - so easy and syn free!

Unthoughtknown · 05/08/2016 08:17

Oh that's a great idea! Thanks Emily

Twinklestar2 · 05/08/2016 08:34

Frouby - I don't go to meetings either as they're way too long with a toddler in tow!

Mine will be a twoligan from next week Grin

WingDefence · 05/08/2016 09:18

Mmm smoked salmon pate... I think I've discovered a downside to the homemade hummus - how can I put this... I smell really bad! Blush Oh my poor husband has been suffering with my gassy emissions Grin

Never mind, going to eat more of it for L which will be nice for the rest of the family in the premier inn tonight!!

B 5 SB layered with vanilla muller light, blackberries, strawberries and a bit of FF yog.
L crudites with toxic gas-creating hummus. Strawbs to snack on. (Need to avoid all train treats).
D steak with hopefully healthy sides but might relax that a bit.

chough · 05/08/2016 10:15

Morning, all.
Wing, do you have a dog whom you could blame for those chickpea side-effects?
Unthought, if I've been really pushed for time when there's a taster, ie working long days before group day, I just cook some SW sausages, and take them cut up on sticks: they always get eaten.
It's handy to take your taster on a foil tray or plate, so you don't need to bother taking plates or bowls home.

ALemonyPea · 05/08/2016 11:11

I'm back! Had a great few days away and made some good food choices, and some not so good food choices (wine mainly). I didn't restrict myself, but found myself craving salad by the time I got home.

Back on it today. Scales say 2lb gain, that should be easy to get rid of as probably mainly wine water. Did lots and lots of walking.

B: fruit, yoghurt, hifi bar
D: ham and pease pudding salad with pickles
T: either chicken curry or bolognese, undecided.

Well done to everyone on their loses and welcome to any newbies.

Unthoughtknown · 05/08/2016 11:52

That's a good shout re foil plates.

I'm off shopping in a bit (once dd has woken from an unprecedented 2+ hour nap). I'm saving today's Syns for a Krispy Kreme ...totally worth it!

EmilyK83 · 05/08/2016 11:57

Well...my lunch plans fell through! Which is a shame, but there's part of me thinking well at least I don't need to use any syns on lunch, haha!

Not sure what to have now, though. Might do egg wraps with tuna and sweetcorn mayo again...

Buttwing · 05/08/2016 14:57

Twinkle I have an almost twoligan and an almost threenager, throw in a diva 5 year old and a hormonal 11 (thinks she's 15)year old and that's my life at the moment- crackers and very noisyGrin

Welcome sglodianSmile

Chough my dog frequently gets blamed for my slimming world trumps, Or even the cat if the dogs not in the room!

Emily I think you would make a great consultant is it a big cash outlay?

I was so tired yesterday I fell asleep on the sofa at 7.30 and missed dinner I woke up at 10 ate a chocolate biscuit and went to bed.

Today is ok I still feel really tired though not sure why if I didn't know better I would say I was pregnant (I'm definitely not) wondering about having my iron checked or it might just be because it's school hols and I'm just knackered!

Anyway today's food-

B-yogurt, banana, benefit bar
L-baked potato, beans and bacon
D-steak and salad

EmilyK83 · 05/08/2016 14:58

Butt - it's about £1500...but sounds like it can be made back relatively quickly... Hope you manage to catch up on sleep and feel better this weekend!

froubylou · 05/08/2016 15:08

Hello all

Butt how the fuck do you cope? I have ds (2.8) and dd (12 going on 25) and I regularly lose the will to live!

Been to the Yorkshire wildlife park today. Am knackered. Loads of walking.

Today is flexible friday. We have a takeaway and I am.always over on syns. But it keeps me sane.

B. Stopped at Frankie and bennys for breakfast. Had poached eggs on wholemeal toast. Probably about the right amount as ds nicked some of my toast so counting it as my heb.
L. Bag of mini cheddars (5 syns?)
T. Chicken saag and boiled rice.

chough · 05/08/2016 15:11

Emily, my consultant runs several groups and has 450 members.
Every time she mentions that, I sit mentally adding up all those £5 's.
You'll know better than I do what has to paid out of that: venue fees, payment to SW, etc, I imagine.
But, as you say, I'm sure it could be built into a successful business.
I think it would be hard work, constantly promoting your group, but rewarding.

EmilyK83 · 05/08/2016 16:11

450 members Chough? Bloody hell...she'll be raking it in!!

Yeah, it sounds like the promotion is hard work - especially in the weeks before your first ever group. My background's in marketing, though, so I'm hoping that would help!

maygirl · 05/08/2016 16:55

Grin gassy emissions! TMI but I think all that scan bran is giving me a colonic Blush
Finished yesterday on 8 syns, had a muller Choc fix for 3.5 syns, and rest of HeA in a milky coffee.
B overnight scan bran using quark, coffee, sweet freedom 2 syns and redcurrants. Half HeA milk in coffee. Not decided about other half again
L chicken and cottage cheese salad
Nectarine, orange,
D will be Thai fish curry with fragrant rice and stir fry veg. Will water down a small amount coconut milk to bring it down to 4.5 syns.
Enjoy Friday night all!

maygirl · 05/08/2016 17:30

Actually swopping dinner to a 0.5 syn stirfry as DH having WineWine and I'm not sure will be strong enough to resist all night. So have enough syns for one drink if decide to. Tough sticking to 8 syns for me!

ALemonyPea · 05/08/2016 19:25

My consultant has over 400 people as well. She does 5 classes a week!

Decided to have chilli for tea, sans cheese though as had feta with my salad for dinner. Trying not to have many syns for the rest of the week, need to either maintain or have a little loss by Tuesday.

EmilyK83 · 05/08/2016 21:23

Wow Lemony! There's definite potential in it to earn £££ I reckon!

Did myself a 14 syn treat plate tonight, plus my 2 HexB cereal bars. I've discovered that if I choose synned stuff in individual wrappers, I'm more likely to not eat it. If it's biscuits etc without wrappers, I eat it rather than having to go back in the kitchen and wrap it up - even if I'm not really that hungry. So I'm going to stick with individually wrapped low syn stuff from now on, will hopefully mean I stop when I'm hungry! I still have 1 Hifi bar left from my HexB for tonight, plus a treat size Fudge (3), a Fibre One brownie (4) and an Options (1.5) - I may be done after the Hifi...

WingDefence · 05/08/2016 21:24

Evening all. No dog but I've been good at working out when to release the poison so I don't think the family have suffered too much Grin

Well I've not been too bad today. Ate my strawbs, crudités and SW hummus on the train and just ate the small crackers out of the train deli box while the family tucked into sarnies, crisps, cake and chocs. Oh I did have a tin of ready made mojito though (forgot about that).

For dinner we went to gaucho, I had a lovely large glass of Malbec a huge lean rump steak, and two sides; mixed salad and baby sweet potatoes both without dressing and one small roll. So I think I've done quite well considering!

Meeting up with my DCousin and her family tomorrow so won't be able to control the food as well but I'll do my best...

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

EmilyK83 · 06/08/2016 09:14

Morning all! So today's not started as planned...

B - emergency dentist appointment. Horrible swollen gum behind one tooth, it hurts! Will get a HexA skinny latte on the way back to try and make myself feel better
L - leftover gammon stir fry
D - we're at a wedding evening reception, and it's tacos on the menu. There's also ice cream, but I'm aiming to try and skip that and smuggle in a few Alpen Lights as my HexB...

Need to be good today - had a cheeky weigh this morning and my scales reckon I'm 2.5lb down...I really hope that's right! Finished yesterday on 6.5 syns, to try and account for any wedding reception cheating I might do...

ALemonyPea · 06/08/2016 11:41

My scales are saying I'm back at the weight I was on Monday night WI, so fingers crossed it stays that way!

Lovely day here today, not sure if we are going out somewhere or not as DH meant to be going out for a drink with my mums husband, hate taking the kids out by myself, I'm so self concious Blush

Plan today otherwise is:
B: mushroom and cheese omelette
D: some sort of salad
T: SW KFC chicken, jacket potato, corn, salad

Had a hifi bar as my HEB, and going to restrict syns again. Only had 1.5 yesterday.

Does anyone knowmifnthe peanut hifi bars have been discontinued? My consultant had been on holiday the past two weeks, and there have been none on sale since they were on special.
