Morning all. Had coco shreddies for the first time for breakfast as my HexB. What a revelation!
I do find it odd though that something like sainsburys balance cereal (own brand special K) isn't a HexB - I mean I know it's about the fibre but you'd think it was better than chocolate covered cereal Grin

EmilyK83 · 07/06/2016 08:53

Off to weigh in. Feel like crap. Under 5 hours of sleep last night thanks to this bruised tailbone, there's no comfortable position for me to sit/stand/lie in at all. Not ideal...

nomoreheroes · 07/06/2016 09:31

Hello all new and old, and well done on all the losses. EmilyK, wonder what you've done to your tailbone, hope you feel better soon and get a nice big weight loss to make you feel better!

Calzone I have to ask, what is courgette porridge? I am intrigued!

I haven't posted my food diary for a couple of days but have been on track with SP days since Saturday - though the scales is telling me otherwise (I blame my crazy scales not the booze on Fri/Sat, nope definitely not). Haven't a clue what to expect at the weigh-in tomorrow. We have a taster evening so have to prepare something for that.

Today's menu:
B - Porridge (hexb), milk (hexa), apple
Snack - berries, quark
L - Leftover chicken & veg curry with cauli rice
D - syn free sausages, beans, tomato, mushrooms with 1 slice wholemeal bread (hexb 2 for SP day)
Apricots, nectarines

ChesterFuckingDraws · 07/06/2016 11:28

Morning all, just back from weigh in and finally got my 1stone certificate 😀
It's taken ages (9weeks) to get it off, now 15.5 lb down. Still another 3st to go-hopefully they come off quicker!
For the most of it I've not really felt like I'm on a diet and I've not starved myself of anything.
Feeling quite proud of myself 😂

VodkaIceAndLemon · 07/06/2016 12:20

Went to wi this morning, lost 5lb!! I can't believe it! I think I might try to do more sp days, they have certainly worked!

EmilyK83 · 07/06/2016 12:31

No idea what I've done nomore, it's killing me!! Well done Chester! And Vodka - that's amazing!!

1.5lb off for me, am happy with that! Means I got my shiny 3.5 stone award in 22 weeks - 2lb to lose until I'm a healthy bmi, and then want another stone off after that!

Today's food plan:

B - none
L - ham salad
D - we're off out to a fish restaurant, going to try and go for the healthiest options...

Won't have any more syns after dinner, and saving my healthy extras too...

It's my birthday on Friday, need to try and be as good as possible this week!

ALemonyPea · 07/06/2016 12:44

2.5 lbs off. I got my 1.5 stone award as well, but needed another 0.5lb to get into the next stone bracket.

It's so disheartening when you've been on plan 100%, portion sizes haven't been massive, and can't even lose 3lb. I know I moan a every WI day, I just want to lose what everyone else seems to be losing.

Still, plodding along

B: Nothing as WI
D: Beans on HEB toast, HEA cheese, mushrooms
T: salmon and veg rice

EmilyK83 · 07/06/2016 13:02

Well done Lemony, that's brilliant - so many awards today! And just think - you only need 0.5lb next week to reach your next big milestone...that's got to be a positive!

WingDefence · 07/06/2016 13:04

Well done on your losses all you Tuesday weighers! sparkle have you weighed yet?

I've just stuffed myself with a delicious salad. 1.5 heck sausages (the 97% ones we cooked on the bbq last night so 3 each - 4.5 syns), plus tons of salad veg and a few leftover jerseys, with 1tbsp of 30% salad cream. Yum.

Not sure what to do for tea tonight. I want to try the cauli pizza but I'm a bit nervous!

froubylou · 07/06/2016 13:16

Lemony I lose slow and steady like you. I stopped going 18 months ago because I got pissed off with slow losses and put it all and a bit more back on. I just keep telling myself that 1lb a week is a stone every 3 months or so, or 4 stone in a year which would be amazing.

B. Coffee
L. Giant mushrooms and omelette
T. Chicken breaSt wrapped in parma ham L, veg and new potatoes with some kind of ready made sauce. Or maybe salad dressing to make it free.

Just blitzed the house from top to bottom including shampooing 2 x 3 seater sofas so should count for body magic!

Colourfulpast1975 · 07/06/2016 13:50

Hi there,

I just wanted to share the recipe for the salad I had at lunch (only 0.5 syn) :

-red pepper

  • sweetcorn
-cucumber -ham
  • handful of cooked pasta
For the dressing : 1 tablespoon of lighter than light mayo and 1 tablespoon of quark + garlic salt (optional), pepper to taste.

It was really nice !

ALemonyPea · 07/06/2016 15:08

Sounds lovely Colourful. I want to try quark but nervous about it. Is it a bit like cream cheese or more like yoghurt?

I did the cauli pizza on FridaWing, it certainly wasn't pizza but it was nice.

Asda didn't have the salmon I like in, so having chicken and sweet potato fries with a salad instead.

Colourfulpast1975 · 07/06/2016 15:49

It's more like yogurth, thick yogurth

WingDefence · 07/06/2016 15:56

Did you use the recipe from the SW website ALemon? I don't have a food processor so will have to grate it.

I like quark - it's more like marscapone in my mind. You can put it in everything as it doesn't have a strong flavour.

OrianaBanana · 07/06/2016 16:04

Well done everyone! When I was losing it was a pound here and there at most, 2.5 is brilliant!

ALemonyPea · 07/06/2016 16:04

It was the one in this months magazine. Want me to take a photo and post it here? I think I'll use less egg next time as was soggy in the middle.

Buttwing · 07/06/2016 16:06

Wing I just buy the ready grated stuff in Tesco it's £1.

Well done to the losers and welcome to the newbiesSmile

I weighed last night and I've lost 2lb which I'm really pleased with.
It's been so hot today I've just picked and not really had much. I'm having spag Bol for tea as its in the freezer and I'm having a lazy day!

Colourfulpast1975 · 07/06/2016 16:25

Tonight for tea : we are having pork kofta + curry potatoes + green salad

Pork kofta recipe : www.kidspot.co.nz/recipes-for+4045+55+Mince+Pork-kofta-wraps.htm they are really nice and easy to make !

WingDefence · 07/06/2016 16:46

Wow - pre-grated cauliflower? My nearest tesco is 8.2 miles away and Asda is 12.5 (I live in rurally) and I don't get such exciting things in my local sainsburys!
Colour that looks lovely. I suppose it would work too with 5% beef mince?

I'll try cauli pizza tomorrow. Tonight is gammon, veg, SW chips/wedges.

VodkaIceAndLemon · 07/06/2016 17:15

Can anybody help me with SP? Can I have a tin of chickpea dhal on SP, or not? I have a tin that's free, and one that's 1.5syns, I want to think I can have the synned one, but my brain is turning to mush from overthinking! Thanks x

tabulahrasa · 07/06/2016 17:27

Chickpeas are a P food...but pre-made stuff isn't technically because they can't guarantee that nutritionally it qualifies, that's why things like quorn sausages don't count as a P.

I can't see any logical reason why the synned one would be a better choice though?....

Look at the ingredients, if it's chickpeas, veg and spices - I'd have it.

Buttwing · 07/06/2016 18:14

Wing check out Sainsburys they do it too. I was quite excited when I found it very boring life!

VodkaIceAndLemon · 07/06/2016 19:32

Thanks tabulahrasa, I shall look. I might make my own concoction, might work better.

emwithme · 07/06/2016 19:40

I have just gone from hangry to stuffed and happy in half an hour!

Having an SP day today:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Ham salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Salmon fillet, butternut squash noodles (squoodles?), mushrooms. I put a tablespoon of Asda's light lemon and pepper salad dressing (1/2 syn per tablespoon) in the foil with the salmon before popping it in the oven for 25 minutes. Came out lovely and sticky and infused, was delicious. Big bowl of quark with white chocolate options and berries.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

I like quark now I've got used to how it handles. It works really well mixed with tuna, pasta and chopped veg for tuna pasta salad, I put mustard powder in when we're having burgers or steak to make a nice dressing in place of sour cream, and if you put a sachet (10g) of white chocolate options in (2 syns) and mix it up, it tastes like it could be the topping on carrot cake. I add a little water to it (more for the tuna pasta, least for the mustard) - only a couple of spoonfuls, mind you - to make it a bit smoother.

sparkle789 · 07/06/2016 19:54

I gained 2 at weigh in. I expected a small gain but not 2lbs!

Tomorrow is a new day though. I have meal planned so going to give this a proper go. I've got 10weeks left on my countdown so I at least need to get my money's worth!
