Ahhhh that's exciting news mumtoblaire - celebration definitely allowed!

Planning another SP day here today, as weigh in's tomorrow morning. Pretty much the same plans as yesterday, apart from lunch...

B - sweetened quark with fruit and first HexB of pistachios

L - ham and egg salad

D - leftover cottage pie topped with carrot and butternut mash, plus veg

Homemade almond milk lattes as my HexA (finally cleaned our coffee machine after it hadn't been used in ages), and an Alpen Light for my other HexB. Finished yesterday on 15 syns, aiming for around 10 today...

Charliesaysno · 06/06/2016 09:25

Can I join you please? I have 2 stone to lose. Been pissing around a bit with SW online for a couple of months but need to knuckle down and do it! I know what to do and figure if I'm posting here I'll be accountable!

WingDefence · 06/06/2016 09:38

Hi all - can I join in? I've been doing SW online since Jan and have lost 1 stone 6.5. Bit disappointed really as the past three weeks I've lost 0.5 each time and I've been following the plan. And each time I've weigh in the website tells me I "must be delighted" with my loss. Well, no actually I'm really disappointed Angry but of course I get no personal feedback from the website.

Anyway, apart from attempting to do SP a few days a week, can anyone give me some help please? I'm a work at home mum so spend most of my day at a desk and am snowed under so don't really have time to take an hour to walk round the block at lunchtime. I'm just feeling fed up at the moment!

ALemonyPea · 06/06/2016 10:39

Well done MumtoBlaire, definitely worth going off plan for.

Welcome newbies. Can you post a typical day Wing, mso we Dan maybe see what you can improve on?

Having an SP day today. WI tomorrow.

B: bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, orange, pear
D: tuna salad
T chicken curry with cauli rice

ALemonyPea · 06/06/2016 10:40

HEA will be cheese on salad, HEB more than likely hifi bars, or might have a tuna salad sandwich

EmilyK83 · 06/06/2016 10:45

Welcome Charlie and Wing!

Good luck for tomorrow Lemony!

mumtoblaire · 06/06/2016 12:24

Gained 1lb to be honest I thought it would be worse. Have to sort myself out as when I am good I am very good and when I am off plan I do a fantastic job of it.

  1. Must write out meal plan for one week - and stick to it.
  2. Must go shopping for food on said plan.
  3. Must try and stop/reduce alcohol consumption.

Always get a mind block when working out meals. Anyone care to share a typical week?

TIA

EmilyK83 · 06/06/2016 13:31

Mumtoblaire - how about batch cooking stuff so you have enough for a few nights? That way you always have something ready for nights when you can't be bothered to cook (if you have those - I know I do!)

Things like cottage pie, stews, soups for lunches, curries, chilli con carne etc?

Colourfulpast1975 · 06/06/2016 13:45

New week new beginning !! Following an idea given by one of you, I have some salmon pâté with quark and chives and it's delicious !!! Thank you

WingDefence · 06/06/2016 14:44

Hi :) ALemonyPea I would post a typical day from last week but currently I can't log into the SW website Hmm

It's annoying though as we went away for two days to Glasgow (Fri & Sat) last week with the DCs. I'd had a great week and weighed early on Friday morning; I'd lost 1.5 and was happy with that. I was very good after that (eating plain salads and fruit etc) and even worked out the syns in advance for when we went to wagamama Friday evening and the only things I had off plan were a glass of wine on Friday night and then some crackers on the train on the way home on Saturday - plus lots of walking around the city. Yesterday I was on plan and synned two homemade cookies and then this morning I had only lost 0.5.

Such a disappointment! Anyway we are having a BBQ tonight so lots of salad and heck sausages but I'm going to allow myself a burger (prob no bun) and some crisps. Because I'm annoyed!

maygirl · 06/06/2016 16:22

0.5 pound off over the weekend is still on track for 1.5 by Friday I think WingD!?

Today
B butternut pancakes again, raspberries, sweet freedom 1 syn
Apple
L ryvita heB, 2 lite blue cheese triangles 3 syns, tinned sardines in tomato sauce- joints felt like needed oiling lol! Peppers and cucumber, orange
Milk in 2 coffee 2 syns
Choc biscuit 3.5 syns
D will be sw slow cooker lasagne if it works with green beans! Mondays have 30 mins to get home, eat and get ds to cubs after DDs dancing classes. Adapted the two chubby cubs recipe, used cauliflower white sauce instead . heA cheese on the top.

WingDefence · 06/06/2016 16:44

Ah maygirl I weighed myself early on Friday and was on track for a 1.5 loss but then this morning (weigh day) it was only 0.5, hence the dissappointment.

I'll post daily food from tomorrow as I've nibbled here and there today because it's weigh day and I was p-ed off Biscuit Just been to sainsburys and stocked up on stuff I need drat forgot the quark so looking for a good week ahead.

Comeonmommy · 06/06/2016 16:56

Hello, hope I'm ok to join in. My last SW meeting was before Xmas so no surprises I have put all my weight back on!! I can't get to the meetings anymore but figure I know most of the rules and have my recipe books so no reason I can't start again. Could someone pls let me know if the Apple and Cinnamon Ryvitas are free? Determined to do this !!

VodkaIceAndLemon · 06/06/2016 17:04

Hi everyone, I've been a bit crap about getting on here, and have been away too. I've been SPing like crazy since I came home (Thursday), so I will find out the damage tomorrow morning. But no matter what, I am having chips and curry rice for my tea tomorrow night. I am desperate for carbs!

EmilyK83 · 06/06/2016 18:11

Feeling like crap today. My tailbone is in agony - no idea why, unless it was to do with sitting in the bath for a LONG time last night and the fact that I don't have as much cushioning on my bum anymore!

calzone · 06/06/2016 18:42

My first day of redundancy and I was a bit worried that I would eat from boredom. However, I planned my meals and snacks and have been good all day.

B....courgette porridge
L....beetroot and feta salad
Mango and vanilla yogurt
D....3 Linda sausages, broccoli and Sainsburys savoury rice (free)

Feeling virtuous.

Speaking of being annoyed, I made a quiche for tomorrow's taster session, and it fell apart when I took it out. Not making another one, so either go in empty handed or buy something tomorrow morning.

Had a naan bread with my curry, 10 syns but worth every last mouthful.

froubylou · 06/06/2016 19:25

Hello all.

Been a good day today apart from the 4 chips I nicked off ds. They were very nice though!

B. Coffee. Lots of coffee as had loads of paperwork to do.
L. Tuna salad
T. Veggie chilli and rice

Had 1 g and t which I now know is 5 syns not 3.5 because of the lovely tonic. And a couple of chips which I will say was 2 syns. Hifi for B choice and a choice in coffee. Wi day Wednesday for me and want another 1.5. Or even 2 which would mean I would almost be in the next stone down which is a BIG THING psychologically. Especially aa I was in the next stone up before I started!

Charliesaysno · 06/06/2016 20:42

My first day's check-in here...

B - 2 bananas
L - tuna and boiled egg salad
D- 3 SW sausages, roasted veg and jacket pot with HE cheese

Snacks - 2 G&ts

HelenF35 · 06/06/2016 20:49

Sickness bug helped the weight loss this week. 5.5 off! Just 1lb to go and I'm at 2 stone. 1st 1lb to target: Feeling much better now Grin

maygirl · 06/06/2016 21:07

Ah I see WingD, v annoying. I'm always my lightest on a Friday morning too and gain a bit back over the weekend .

Not heard of those ryvita, Comeonmommy. No ryvita are free though. Are they Fruit Crunch ones? They are 2.5 syns each or two for a healthy extra B

Good luck everyone for this weeks weigh ins!

sparkle789 · 06/06/2016 21:10

Hi can I join you all?

I lost 2 stone last year just by cutting down. I've lost 8lbs in 6 weeks on slimming world. I could've lost more but I've not been following it properly. I weigh in tomorrow so want to get my act together, and get to target by September.

Do you all plan your meals at the start of the day?

Sounbelievablydull · 06/06/2016 21:18

Hi there haven't been on here for ages, glad to see everyone is sticking with it.
I have now lost 19lbs in 19 weeks so so slow.
I was really hoping to have lost two stones by my summer holiday in August but at this rate probably not possible.
I suppose at least it's going down slowly not on.
I need to really get on with this properly start some exercise and control the booze!
Please feel free to shout very loudly at me!!!

emwithme · 06/06/2016 21:56

Hi all! Finally got my laptop back from the menders (it has a whole new top half, apparently) so not either trying to use DH's or attempting to MN on my phone! YAY!

Congrats on the baby Oriana

I have been steadily plodding on, trying to get off what I got on when the in-laws were here. Back to work and college today so it should be far easier now I'm back in my routine. Am still using MFP to track because that way I don't stray too far from recommended portion sizes and overeat, simply because something is "free"

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: left over roast beef, salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Pre-college snack: Muller light, pear
Post-college snack: Apple
Dinner: Chicken noodle stir fry (6 syns) with lots of veggies. Bag of pufts
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

Solina · 07/06/2016 08:25

Been a while since I wrote here!

Lost a total of 9.5 pounds so far and last week I got the countdown but I will get my journal tomorrow as they didnt have any yet. Also bought 2 books and have picked 4 dinners from them for this week.

I am finding it difficult to stay on plan, weekends are the worst. I need to really focus though but I am not sure what the issue is!
