I made magic pancakes this morning, there lovely. Might use less sweetener next time though.

Having another SP day today to make up for Saturday.

B: Magic pancakes, melon, pear
D: Ham and cheese salad with pickles
T: SW chicken curry with Cauli rice
2 hifi bars for snacks.

Also going to try quark with mint choc options. Will report back on that.

froubylou · 04/07/2016 11:35

Morning all

Always disappointing when you don't expect it wing. Could it be fluid retention? Stick with it though. Maybe keep a diary this week just to double check you aren't missing a trick somewhere.

Had a lovely morning playing ponies and I suppose it's a bit of body magic too.

Todays plan

B.coffee
L. Salad and whatever else I can find in the fridge
T. Am going to do a cottage pie but with diced beef instead of mince. Will do swede and potatoes for the topping plus carrots and onions in the base. Plus some veg on the side.

Syns will be the gravy, and probably a but of butter in the mash. Plus a g and t.

I don't mind doing without sweet stuff as long as I can have a g and t at the end of the day! My.loss would probably be better without it but it's my 1 luxury item and I would feel very deprived without.

WingDefence · 04/07/2016 12:24

Well I've not done too well this morning (doesn't help that I made a load of cookies with DD on Saturday) but I must think of how far I've come and I only have 7.5lbs till target. But a maintain and gain this week do not a happy Wing make!

If any of you are on FB have you seen the 'Summer Slimdown' private group? It's full of people who are all very supportive and you set your own goal to lose by the end of Sept, take before & after photos and measurements. PM me if you want to join but can't find it - and I'd rather keep anonymity ie not link my FB and MN names if you want to as well. (So if I post a meal on here and then you work out who I am on FB pelase don't say!)

ALemonyPea · 04/07/2016 13:04

7.5 is easily doable Wing, you've done so well.

I've just looked for the group, there are loads of them, but they all seem to have a low amount of members. Could you maybe pm me the link please?

Comeonmommy · 04/07/2016 13:36

My weight loss is rrreeeeaaally slow but week 3 and another pound off so 3 in total. I am disabled so limited exercise and medication that desperately wants to cause weight gain - may only be 1lb but at least it's a loss. I'm finding it easier than I thought to stay 'full' and vary my meals - really annoyed you can't buy hifi bars outside a group.....I LOVE this popcorn one Smile.

Something that may sound really daft, I've noticed my appetite has really reduced. I used to eat breakfast at 8 and literally graze for the whole day up to 9pm. I now have fruit/yoghurt around 10, jacket potato and tuna/chicken about 2, snack 4:30 ish and tea at 8.

It may only be 3lb loss but my skin is clearer already and my dh commented on how much slimmer I look round my tummy - motivation to loose another 3 now!!

PositiveAttitude · 04/07/2016 13:39

ALemonyPea I have just bought my first pot of Quark to try out the Options mousse thing. Please let me know what you thought of it. Online people either seem to love it or hate it.

Wing Could you possibly PM me the facebook group, too. I am using everything possible to keep me motivated. I am searching online for blogs and things so that I can read them and feel positive whenever I want to.

WI tomorrow evening. I did a sneaky hop on the scales this morning and was quite chuffed - but that was first thing in the morning butt naked. SW is evening and I most definitely won't be butt naked!! Grin

WingDefence · 04/07/2016 13:46

ALemon and Positive I've PMed you :)

Comeon what great feedback and it sounds like you're doing well - keep at it!

ALemonyPea · 04/07/2016 14:27

Thank you wing.

The quark/options mouse thing was ok. Might have to whip it rather than just stir thorough. Was filling. I had it without fruit, but would be nice with strawberries. Definitely will give it another go.

Comeonmommy · 04/07/2016 14:39

Oh, and thank you heroes, the peppers and yoghurt sauce is lovely!

fraggle84 · 04/07/2016 15:17

Chocolate ice cream alert!!

The best 15 syns you'll ever spend of you have a sweet tooth!

Waitrose frozen yoghurt 500ml Belgium chocolate, 15 syns for the whole tub!!!

Lifeisontheup2 · 04/07/2016 16:00

Does anyone know how many syns the Lick banana and honey frozen yoghurt is?

Comeonmommy · 04/07/2016 16:31

Oh wow Fraggle - thank you Star

WingDefence · 04/07/2016 17:01

No Waitrose near us. Boo!

ALemonyPea · 04/07/2016 18:52

Life, it is 5.5 for a 12ml tub or 4.5 for 100ml serving.

Lifeisontheup2 · 04/07/2016 19:26

Thanks ALemony I love it Smile

Today's meals

B Fruit and yogurt
L Quark, tomatoes, 4 small new potatoes, lettuce
D Chicken breasts baked in a tin of chopped tomatoes with carrot, celery and onion served with cabbage, broccoli and leeks. Yogurt and fruit.
Milk for coffee from HEa
Hopefully no syns today.

emwithme · 04/07/2016 20:05

15 syns, seriously, Fraggle I'm off to Waitrose...

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Beef salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Chicken tikka masala (made with the tub of SW Iceland sauce) with sugar snap peas and baby corn, mushrooms and boiled rice.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

My routine is all thrown off today, it's the first Monday I've been at work but not college so my body is confused by eating at 6.30 pm (instead of a scrambled snack at 5.30 then dinner at 9 ish and bed soon after). I may need an early night so I don't eat myself stupid out of boredom!

Aspergallus · 04/07/2016 22:55

Felt like I'd had a good week but just 1lb off at weigh in tonight. 12lbs in total over 5 weeks, so know that averages out pretty well...but I'll struggle to maintain motivation at 1lb per week :-(

Lifeisontheup2 · 05/07/2016 08:48

Is it ok if you miss a meal simply because you really aren't hungry? I really didn't want to eat last night, I forced myself to have a banana to avoid any sudden attacks of the hunger rage which leads to eating anything and everything Smile
I'm still not hungry this morning, I wonder if it's just a coincidence that i drank loads of green tea yesterday?

pippinandtog · 05/07/2016 08:57

You should have something to eat to keep your metabolism ticking over: it's like putting some fuel on the fire.
I think the green tea drinking affecting your appetite is coincidental.
Try something light, like Weetabix or a "b" choice of toast, and you will probably find you enjoy it and you were hungry after all.

Lifeisontheup2 · 05/07/2016 09:11

I'm going to have some fruit and yogurt before I go dog training. Smile

gadget1974 · 05/07/2016 09:15

Morning, WI later today, think I'm going to miss my 2st loss by a lb #annoyed.

I have a question for people who do SP days, do you find it actually slows weight loss for a day or two afterwards? I ask because on Sunday I was 14st13.5 and this morning I am 15st 0.4. Now there was alcohol involved Saturday night but Sunday and Yesterday were full on SP days.

pippinandtog · 05/07/2016 09:36

gadget, your scales are very precise!
Don't think SP slows weight loss, there's just a natural daily weight variation and we can weigh ourselves too frequently and not have a proper picture; best to just stick with the weekly WI on the SW scales.

gadget1974 · 05/07/2016 10:43

They are indeed. I think I need to change my WI to a Sunday!!!!

WingDefence · 05/07/2016 12:03

Hi all. Anyone in Birmingham? I'm just getting into the city as I'm presenting at a conference today :)

Hopefully there will be lots of lovely salad at the hotel lunch...

NSV I'm in a slinky size 12 dress without any {ahem} control pants Grin

nomoreheroes · 05/07/2016 13:32

Hello all, been a bit quiet for a few days as I have been too busy eating Blush Have gone a bit off plan with a lot of bread and butter creeping in. Scales are telling me I'm still the same or possibly half a lb up or down but official WI tomorrow. I'm so mad at myself because I can and do cook very on plan meals, don't snack in between generally, but put me in front of a crusty loaf and some butter and I seem to lose all my willpower. Especially if I have wine. Well done Gadget on cutting back your wine consumption. Like you, the sweet tooth isn't an issue for me, nor do I tend to use many syns during the week (except for a bit of sauce, mayo or cheese maybe) but come the weekend and it all goes a bit to pot. Oh well, I know what the issues are, it is just about finding the balance and a little more willpower in the face of wine and bread-based temptation!

Oh, and Gadget, re: SP days, I find that they really, er, bung me up Blush so that might be affecting your weight loss in the short term. Any time I have done 2 or 3 SP days I have to confess that as well as drinking lots of water, I sometimes need a little help in the way of a laxative - usually one or two Dulcoease in a day helps things along.
