DH has popped out to see someone so I'm going to try to squeeze in half hour Davina now. Eek!

WingDefence · 30/06/2016 12:36

Got 15 cardio and 15 arms in. Feel great - love endorphins. I just need to shove him out of the house more often Wink

Funnily enough I was talking to the morrisons delivery lady who just came about things that are out of stock and I mentioned those new Danone yogurts and that as I'm doing SW I really want to try them. She said she's also doing SW (SWers get everywhere!!) and has lost 4 stone since last November - isn't that brilliant!!

ALemonyPea · 30/06/2016 13:37

Bummer about the yoghurt a Wing, they really are lovely.

Trying that Eatlean cheese, it's quite bland and quite hard, but not bad with pickled onions. Would probably be better melted over a jacket potato or bolognese, something like that. Good for an SP day I'd say.

B: Baked oats with blueberries (1 syns)
D: Chicken, eatlean cheese, salad, asparagus, 3 syns salad cream
T: sausage, veg, mashed turnip instead of potato, onion gravy (2 syns)

Going to clubercise tonight, should be fun.

EmilyK83 · 30/06/2016 14:08

Well done on the exercise, Wing!

Boo, shame about the cheese Lemony...let us know if it's any nicer if you decide to melt it!

Funny old day here. Ended up waking up at 5, decided to crack on with work. Missed breakfast (oops) and had brunch instead...

Today:

B - baked beans, eggs, Quorn patties (1), spinach

Skinny latte (3.5)

D - leftover paella and salad

Problem is I'm now off to a client's launch party, and there'll be drinks and canapés. I'm not going to be able to avoid them... Will get a skinny latte as my HexA en route to try and fill me up, then I'll try and be good! Have a feeling I'll be over on syns today, though...

WingDefence · 30/06/2016 15:19

Hmm Emily how about skip the canapes (visualisation - picture yourself just saying 'no thank you'?) and alternate drinks with a soft drink (getting half cut usually leads to eating more I find). Don't let waiters top you up if they come round with a bottle so you have a better idea on how much you're putting away?

Have a great time though - sounds very swish!

nomoreheroes · 30/06/2016 15:24

Hello all. Had to pop out for lunch and the only thing that didn't involve chips or cream or cheese was stew. How many syns would you count for a very small (soup bowl sized) portion of stew? Loads of carrots, leeks, turnip, 1 spud, gravy and about 5 chunks of lean meat. I was thinking maybe 4 or 5? My own similar stew that I make at home is syn free or maybe has 1 syn for bisto.

profpoopsnagle · 30/06/2016 16:09

I am a slow but steady loser too- 14.5lbs off in 15 weeks. But I have never felt as if I am on a diet, and had 2 holidays and a birthday in that time. I have also noticed my clothes fitting much better, my ankles and knees are better from not holding up so much weight, and I have less sugar urges and drink less wine. So as well as the weight loss, I feel so much more healthier.

froubylou · 30/06/2016 18:44

I had a NSV today. Wore a pair of size 16 jeans and they fell down all day! And the legs were baggy. And I wore a top I haven't worn since Christmas and it fitted! Yay me.

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Bolognaise sauce from last night. I didn't have pasta as I try and avoid too many carbs
T. Gammon steak, jacket potato and salad and roast veg.

Syns in gin and possibly a bit of dark chocolate later.

Lifeisontheup2 · 30/06/2016 19:35

I was pleased today, stuck without lunch and starving so popped into M&S service station and bought 2 hard boiled eggs and some ham. This time last week I would have grabbed a sandwich and a cream cake. Blush

Bit worried about my anniversary meal tonight, tasting menu and wine....
Haven't had any syns since Monday (when i started SW ) so hoping that will mitigate it. Don't want to not enjoy myself though, 26 years married is something to celebrate.

emwithme · 30/06/2016 20:36

Thank you all for being so lovely Flowers

I didn't get my 3 stone today, but still lost 1.5 lbs and so am only a lb away from it next week. In better news, I passed my final college assessment so have completed my course (Level 3 Accountancy). I'll be going in tomorrow morning to register for level 4!

Today's food:

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins, pear
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Salmon fillet, mediterranean roasted veg.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars.

ALemonyPea · 30/06/2016 21:40

Been to clubercise, I am going to be aching all over in the morning. It was great fun though.

Well done on the NSV Frouby.

PositiveAttitude · 30/06/2016 21:55

Lifeisontheup Congratulations on the wedding anniversary. Ours is on Saturday when I intend to fully enjoy our meal out. We're 28 years and some years it has been our only night out all year, so always a bit special.

emwithme Well done on the Level 3 accountancy. Another one here doing the same. Last exam of the year next Wednesday then on the count down to one final exam for level 4 in December/January and I will be all done! Are you working as an accountant now? are you self-employed with it? I work for a few places at the moment but want to go more and more self employed over the next year or so. I don't think I will be going in for chartered - what about you?

I tried the baked oats this morning and was not too impressed with the flavour - or lack of, but i have to say I was full up until time for dinner, so the lack of flavour might have been worth it really! ANy ideas for adding flavour?
Dinner was shepherds pie using sweet potato mash, with loads of veg. Surprisingly yummy and filling.

EmilyK83 · 30/06/2016 22:26

Well done on the NSV frouby, the loss Life and the assessment Em!

Client party could've been worse. Had a few nibbly bits but no booze. I was very restrained.

Turns out I'm now out for both lunch and dinner tomorrow. Quite glad I'm not weighing in for another 3 weeks...

eeyoredebbie · 01/07/2016 06:25

Hi all, very well done on your losses.

I use this recipe for baked oats, milk instead of yoghurt so it's 1.5syn or part of your HeA but I like it much better than yoghurt. I think vanilla essence and putting a bit of fruit in adds flavour.
www.notyouraverage.co.uk/2015/03/sliming-world-eats-baked-oats.html?m=1

I'm a lurker on this thread but can't really commit to posting regularly. I've been doing Slimming World for nearly three months, lost 2st 11lb and achieved my Club 10 this week!

So amazed and happy I've found a diet that works. Keep going ladies and gents, you're doing fantastic.

Lifeisontheup2 · 01/07/2016 09:46

Everyone's stories are so inspiring, too many to name check all but Flowers
Last night used all my syns but I didn't eat all the chips and did have a salad and fruit so could have been worse. Didn't have as much wine either.
Today I've had raspberries, yoghurt and bran flakes HEB for breakfast
Lunch will be a cottage cheese salad and then I start a night shift which is normally where my good intentions crumble.
Any ideas? This shift runs from 4pm until 2am with a 30 min meal break somewhere between 7.30 and 10.30. Going to stick a banana in my bag in case I get hungry whilst out on the road but am a bit stuck for light but filling ideas for the actual meal.

EmilyK83 · 01/07/2016 10:03

Life - how about a pasta salad?

OrianaBanana · 01/07/2016 12:05

Or couscous and roast veg salad?

Lifeisontheup2 · 01/07/2016 12:59

I'll try both those, thank you.

ALemonyPea · 01/07/2016 13:52

You could make some mini crustless quiches, I usually have some in the fridge for a snack t keep me going.

My mam dragged me to the Toby for breakfast this morning. I was very well behaved and had eggs, beans, fat trimmed off bacon and mushrooms.

B: As above
D: Quiche and salad
T: Pork kebabs, wedges and salad

nomoreheroes · 01/07/2016 22:31

More dining out this evening...the place we went to normally does a SW friendly curry which I'd planned to had but it wasn't on tonight - so I had a chicken caesar salad to start, followed by a pasta dish with sundried tomatoes and pesto. So I think I've got to count a fair few syns for caesar dressing and pesto/oil. But not feeling too bad because I went for a brisk 45 min walk after we got home - would normally have hit the couch straight away so at least I have done some damage limitation. HaloGrin

WingDefence · 02/07/2016 10:06

Hi all - very busy weekend here. Went to a church night last night and resisted all the doughnuts afterwards! DH and I only had time to grab a Chinese beforehand so I went for boiled rice and chicken in oyster sauce. Only 7.5 syns in total - very happy!

Tonight (same event) they are doing a bbq for tea but I'm going to assume I can't have anything (the burgers and sausages are likely to be high syn) so I cooked a SW fry up for breakfast (bacon medallions, b beans, tomatoes, eggs - not much speed but run out of mushrooms :() and have made overnight oats to take with me for tea.

Hope you all have a fab weekend!

ALemonyPea · 02/07/2016 11:07

So quiet on here lately, hope everyone is ok and still managing SW.

Feeling so bloated, think I ate too many eggs yesterday.

B: yoghurt, melon, nectarine, orange
D: Beans on toast, mushrooms, onions
T: steak, baked potato, cheese (hea), corn on the cob, salad
S: hifi bar (HEB), maybe a packet of pufts

I want to try cut down my use of syns on salad cream. I use the 30% Heinz one, I don't like the 30% one or any of the really light ones. Any suggestions for low or syn free salad dressings? Not keen on fat free vinaigrette.

tabulahrasa · 02/07/2016 11:09

I just use balsamic usually, I prefer it to most dressings anyway.

nomoreheroes · 02/07/2016 11:27

Hi Lemony, yes it has been quiet lately. I'm also feeling the egg bloat, made breakfast muffins for.the last couple of days as snacks. Might need to avoid for a day or two!

Have you tried making a salad dressing with FF natural yoghurt? Add loads of finely chopped fresh herbs (mint is lovely with greek or middle eastern dishes, coriander with Mexican flavours, but anything you have to hand is fine). A good squeeze of lemon and even some grated lemon zest gives it lift.

nomoreheroes · 02/07/2016 11:28

Oh and I also made a nice dressing with whizzed up roasted red peppers from a jar (the ones in brine) and FF yoghurt. Was delicious on a chicken salad.
