Emily, you look amazing SmileFlowersStarHalo

froubylou · 27/06/2016 14:45

Look at you Emily you skinny bint! Am weljel.

And congratulations Wing. I hate having my photo done at the moment. I look so bloated and wobbly.

Dp is oN the shit list again. Didn't bother doing a proper salad last night with the steak and the mushrooms and onions were swimming in oil. Hmmph.

I am back in charge though. Meal planned for the week. Well for teas anyway. Lunches will be left overs and what I can forage.

Todays food
B. Coffee and a hifi bar
L. Piece of salmon and some veg. Was lush!
T. Lamb kebabs, salad, rice and Hm tzazaki (sp) dip.

I bought some lush 70% dark chocolate yesterday. I think it is 5 syns for 4 squares which is actually enough to mend a chocolate fix. Have hidden it in a hi Fi box lol.

nomoreheroes · 27/06/2016 15:41

Hi all...menu plan gone out the window today. Was late for a meeting so just had time for fruit on the run. Had made a bacon, bean and butternut squash soup for lunch...ate a little of it but it was a bit minging tbh so I binned it and made a mushroom omelette instead as I was starving and it was the quickest replacement I could make! Aiming to be syn free and SP today if I can, as I think I've used almost all the week's syns over the weekend. Haven't had either hexa or hexb yet. Might have a hifi bar shortly with a cuppa. Not sure what else. Maybe cheese on toast! Thinking chicken stir fry for dinner (without rice/noodles). Can I have oyster sace (the syn free one) on an SP day?

EmilyK83 · 27/06/2016 17:07

Thank you! I really need to start exercising to tone up...

Frouby, sounds like dp needs beating with a big stick! Maybe he's trying to get out of cooking...?

Nomore - sure that should be fine, think storecupboard essentials are all allowed on SP days...

wafflingworrier · 27/06/2016 17:12

Can I ask what do u do if u r at a function where the buffet is not s w friendly? Had a christening yesterday and I'd offered to bring something-ie SW friendly! But they said no thanks, I turned up and there were sandwiches, scones with Jams and cream and various cakes and that was it. So obviously I'm not strong enough to eat nothing! It's all redeemable but I was just deflated and annoyed as I actually didn't WANT to get off track but also I don't want to b a weirdo in a corner with my little Tupperware container of separate food.
Any advice?
Although thinking about it I'd prefer to have my own little Tupperware and be slim and healthy Confused
Sorry I don't know about oyster sauce but have just discovered sauces by the brand "celebrate health", they r v s w friendly.

maygirl · 27/06/2016 17:24

Well done Wing on the nsv and maintaining during a difficult week! Well slim Emily!!!
Thanks for all suggestions, I was in asda when I remembered I'd asked you and had a quick check and ran about putting back stuff and switching to a big pork joint! Love SW pulled pork and love that can put in slow cooker as will be rushing about all day before they arrive. Got the pork and wholemeal rolls and some wraps, already planned hm coleslaw, jacket potatoes can cook themselves and if kids are being fussy about the meat they can have beans on the toasted rolls or jackets.

Im pretty sure all free store cupboard essentials are fine on SP days

Just having a lovely fruit tea, st Clements from a multi pack. Hope its free!

nomoreheroes · 27/06/2016 18:02

Thanks all. Chicken stir fry with oyster sauce it is then. Making butternut noodles for me, rice for DH.

Maygirl I also love the SW pulled pork. Made it recently for a tasting night at my group and it was all wolfed down in minutes!

EmilyK83 · 27/06/2016 18:56

Waffling, I'd bring my own, haha!

I might have to try this pulled pork...

calzone · 27/06/2016 20:26

B....beans, eggs, pulled pork and tomatoes
L....2 weetabix, fruit and yogurt
D....cauliflower sauce lasagne, rocket
Turkish delight yoghurt

Morning all - it's actually sunny here, can't believe it!!

Weighing in at 9.30 this morning, and as I have two weigh days off after this (I'm off on hols for 10 days on Sunday) I'm going to avoid having my normal off plan meal tonight...try and reduce the holiday damage as much as possible!

Today's plan:

B - none
L - picky bits from the fridge: celery, radishes, cucumber, ham, pickles, Asda minty mixed bean salad (1 syn for half the tub)
D - leftover chilli con carne with rice and salad

Skinny latte as HexA, pistachios as HexB. No more than 10 syns...

EmilyK83 · 28/06/2016 10:00

2.5lb off! Got my 4 stone award - lost a total of 4 stone 1lb now - I'm buzzing!!!

WingDefence · 28/06/2016 10:09

Yay Emily!! Brilliant Grin

Thanks all for your congrats too. Back on the train down to London today...

B 1x weetabix (so half HexB) plus fruit salad
L subway salad I think
D will probably go for that salmon on linguine on the train again

I wonder if I can make it a syn free day...?! Would help after the sweet popcorn I scoffed shared with DH and DS while watching the stupid football last night...

WingDefence · 28/06/2016 10:10

Oh except I forgot I'll have dressing on the salad so that'll be synned and I'm currently drinking a skinny cappuccino but counting it as my hexa.

nomoreheroes · 28/06/2016 10:12

Wow Emily, over 4 stone! That is amazing - well done you. Star

WI tomorrow for me...not showing any loss at all yet on the scales, though a maintain wouldn't be the end of the world. Still, a pound would be nicer!

Today:
B - Porridge (hexb), milk (hexa), apple
Snack - Berries, strawberry quark (0.5 syns)
L - leftover chicken stirfry, no rice/noodles
D - Might make it an SP day and have a SW breakfast for dinner, with a slice of toast for 2nd hexb

froubylou · 28/06/2016 10:23

Morning all

Wow Emily well done! How long has it taken you? I have a similar amount to lose and it's coming off but slowly.

My scales show I am below 13st again thank fuck. Such a silly thing to get stressed over but 12s 13.5lb sounds so much better than 13st lol.

Todays plan

B. Coffee
L. Fridge surprise. Possibly omelette and salad
T. Chicken wrapped in parma ham, veg, new potatoes and I think I am going to make a tomato sauce for over it all. Do you reckon a tomato and spinach sauce would work? Dp and dd don't like spinach but like basil lol. Can hide it then.

Went to Lidl for first time in years yesterday and was quite impressed. I really don't like aldi fruit and veg but it looked a lot fresher. And they had some named brand basics like tomatoe ketchup and baked beans. I will still have to go to tesco or morrisons for some stuff but reckon I could get 70% of my shopping from there and save a fuck ton of cash lol.

EmilyK83 · 28/06/2016 11:00

Thank you - I'm in shock!!! It's taken 25 weeks - started on Jan 5th this year...

ALemonyPea · 28/06/2016 12:56

Well done Emily! You must be thrilled.

2.5lbs off for me, got my club 10 Grin. Just need 1lb to get my 2 stone award, should easily manage that next week.

B: fruit, hifi bar
D: ham and feta salad
T: pork chop, sweet potato fries, salad

Unsure on syns

EmilyK83 · 28/06/2016 14:39

Thanks Lemony! And well done on the club 10, that's ace! Fingers crossed for the 2 stone award next week!!!

Lifeisontheup2 · 28/06/2016 20:43

Hi, can I join? I've joined SW online and started on Monday, I've got 2 1/2 stone to lose. Blush
I'm having the overnight oats (can't quite manage the whole 35g) with nectarine, blueberries and raspberries for breakfast.
Lunch - fat free cottage cheese salad
Dinner- Chicken breasts stuffed with quark, garlic, thyme and rocket, that slightly weird 0% fat, low carb rice , cabbage and broccoli.

Coffee and green tea to drink and an apple or Mueller light fruit yoghurts if I need a snack.
I'm trying to save syns for Thursday dinner as its my Wedding anniversary and DH has booked to have the tasting menu at a local posh hotel.

WingDefence · 28/06/2016 22:28

Well done ALemon!

Welcome Lifeisontheup2! I'm doing it online too and had a similar amount to lose. It's taken me a very long time though - 5 months to get to nearly 2 stone loss so hopefully you'll be a bit quicker than me!!

maygirl · 28/06/2016 23:55

Well done Emily and lemony, 2.5 off each, wow! Looks like your Mojo's back Calzone!
Hi lifeisontheup, have a great anniversary, got mine this week too :)

Pulled pork was lush! Made sure to save my heB so could have a bread roll with it

B scrambled egg and mushrooms. HeA milk in coffee
L banana, apple
D SW slow cooker pulled pork in tomato sauce, heB roll , topped with homemade coleslaw, 0.5 syn lightest Mayo, half a baked potato, few beans, Berries
Syns on cashews and a few 1 syn sweets

Dance class body magic :)

PositiveAttitude · 29/06/2016 07:06

Well done Emily and Lemony.

I lost 2lb this week and was a bit bloody pissed off miffed that it wasn't an extra half pound which would have meant half a stone in the first 2 weeks. But next week I should get there!!
DD also lost 2lb.
DS, who is not going to slimming world because he does not need to, has annoyed us. He ends up eating what we are eating because he says it looks nice, as well as a heap of extra stuff and in the same time as we have lost 6lb and 6.5lb he has lost 10lb!! Hmm He is a patisserie chef and often brings home "left overs" from work, too.

Calzone those turkish delight yogurts are lush! Morrisons have 10 for £3 at the moment so my fridge is full of them.

College day today which is always a bit difficult for meals, but:
B - strawberries and Yogurt
L - toasted cheese sandwich (HeA &B)
D - shepherds pie - trying the SW recipe with sweet potato mash

I have just booked a flight in November to a conference in Ireland. In 2012 I flew when we moved abroad and I needed to have a seatbelt extender Blush. I am determined to not need one in November so I do definitely need to lose 2.5 stone by then. That would be 0.5 stone a month. That sounds quite do-able, doesn't it?

EmilyK83 · 29/06/2016 07:32

Welcome Lifeis!

And well done Positive - think of it this way, means your half stone award should be nice and easy next week! Half a stone a month should be doable, yeah!

Talking of flights, we have to change flights at Ataturk airport on Monday for our holiday. I already have a massive fear of flying, last night's events aren't helping :( Horrible situation in Turkey at the moment.

Today's plan:

B - fruit, coffee
L - picky bits from the fridge: radishes, celery, cucumber, boiled eggs, ham, pickles
D - seafood paella and salad

Alpen Lights for HexB. Finished yesterday on 8 syns (unusual for weigh day for me, haha) - off out for dinner with my dad on Friday so trying to save some...

emwithme · 29/06/2016 09:34

Well done Lemony and Emily and welcome Life

Been plodding on here, more worried about my final module assessment for this year's college course on Thursday and then sorting out what I need to sort before I leave DH and swan off to Cologne for a week with some friends.

Today's food:

B: Breakfast muffins
L: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas
D: Pork & Apple burgers (new recipe from the magazine), (actifry) chips, salad.

HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars
